The black shadow wove between the trees. He was here for one thing. Nothing would drive him away. He had come from a place, many miles away, where the rules of hose kind were different. His brown orbs never strayed, and his nares were filled with a familiar scent, that filled his heart with joy. It had been a long time, since he had seen the black horse. Even as he walked his body quivered with excitement, and not a glimmer of doubt that the horse he was looking for would not recognize him. How could he be forgotten? After all they had been through. He walked on, his hooves barely making a sound as they made contact with the ground.

As he came to the edge of the trees, and into the clearing, a black shape came into view. It was small, but he had little doubt of the horses identity. The joy rose within him, and he let out a neigh, that filled the clearing , and echoed across the lake. He stepped out into the open, and reared, high, his hooves scraping at the air, tossing his head, his mane flying out, and rippling in the breeze. He spoke out to the horse, in his strong voice "I have come for you"

[Spitz]

Tammy smelt a strange stallion is her land and then heard the voice. She looked behind and at once thought one thing, Blazer, "leave my lands at once, Blazer" she snapped and turned to look the horse in the eye. The scent was nothing like the scent she knew of Blazer but maybe that was Basilisk's fault. "You better go Blazer, don't expect me to just fall weak at the knees and tell you I love you" Tammy snapped "because two stallions have already come, and I have taking a liking to one of them". Tammy would crush Blazer if she had to as the stallion would never get away with crushing her heart.

Blazer was one of the most evil stallions in the world, he was bad enough to be dark. Then she suddenly jumped forward and clamped her teeth around his mane "get out of here" she said. Tammy still had her teeth around his mane but she was talking perfectly. The stallion would find it hard to get out of this situation.

Trojan Spun around, as his brother grabbed his mane between his teeth. His brother had never done this. He twisted his head, and bit him on the neck, not hard enough to draw blood, but hard enough to make a point. He stepped back, freeing his mane, and looking at his brother...but it wasn't his brother. This was a mare, and smaller than Blazer, with different face markings. "I'm not Blazer! And neither are you by the looks of it" He looked around "Where is he" he demanded. He needed to see Blazer.

Then he came to his wits. This mare was talking so bitterly about his brother. What had he done to upset her in this way? "Where is my brother" he asked again. Panic was begining to develope in his chest, though he wasn't about to show it. He needed his brother at once, and had come all these miles to get him.

[Spitz]

Tammy was insulted as he said that she wasn't Blazer either "of course I'm not, that peice of filth is in Autumn Mountain..I guess your his brother" she said and then decided to break Blazer's heart. "You do seem more handsome though, even if you do look alike" she said and flicked her ebony tail. She would get this stallion to love her and then follow him to Blazer, and then tear him apart knowing her old mate was with his brother. "I'm Tammy, the ruler of Royal Lake and Blazer's old mate...until he went off with Basilisk and broke my heart" she said and then started to cry. She may of gotten over the stallion but part of her still loved him and a lot of things made her upset and most of them were about Blazer.

She put her head on this stallions neck and let the tears flow onto his neck. She already trusted the stallion somehow and then decided not to fall in love with this stallion to break Blazer's heart "when you see Blazer, tell him that I still love him and that I wish we could of had little ones" she said and then looked up as she swore that she heard the sound of hooves.

Trojan laid his ears back as she called his brother filth. People who insulted Blazer, insulted him. He was about to shoot back at her when the mare began to cry, and laid her neck on his neck. He was quite taken aback, and he wasn't quite sure what to do or say. Then he realised something. "What do you mean he went off with Basilisk? Why does that mean he left you?" he was confused. As far as he knew, mares were ok, with stallions having other mates. He had three of them at home, and that was a small number to most stallions.

When the mare said that she still loved his brother, he wasn't sure weather to be alarmed or relieved. Did this mare really still love his brother? He knew mares, and decided not to tell his brother just yet, but to find out more about what was going on. He was about to ask more questions, when the sound of hoof beats reached his ears.

Blazer crashed on through the trees. He knew that neigh anywhere. He hadn't seen his brother for years, and now, he was here. To anyone on the ground, he would have looked like a black bullet. His tail streamed out behind him, and his mane rippled in the breeze. The only physical difference between him and his brother, was that his mane was straight, and his brothers was wavy.

He skidded to a stop as he reached the edge of the trees, and horror rose inside him. This was royal lake. He peered out through the trees to see his brother, but he was not alone. He could see Tammy as well.

[Spitz]

Tammy looked at Trojan and then the words started to come out "left me? He left me to be king and then found Basilisk!" she almost shouted but then looked at the trees to see Blazer. She could see the difference now and then without stopping herself Tammy put her head off Trojan's neck and cantered toward the stallion she truly loved. "Blazer" she said and nuzzled his shoulder, breathing in the scent she truly loved "I love you so much but I just can't be with you while you're with Basilisk". She let a tear run down her face and onto his ebony pelt before lifting her head and looking into his eyes.

She then looked at Trojan before looking back at her old mate "you know, he is better looking" she said jokingly "the wavy mane totally is a awesome look". Tammy then started to gallop, she galloped away from the stallions and up a small mound which stuck out over the lake. A breeze rippled her mane and tail as she stood proudly, looking down at the lake and stallions. "See what you can do with a little time" she called to the stallions and laughed.

Trojan looked into the trees to see the black shape that was his brother. He sent a low whinny, overjoyed to see his brother again. He then looked to Tammy. "Mare, where I come from, back in my herd, I have 3 mares. My father had five, and my grandfather had nine" he said "I have a what is considered to be a small amount of mares" Trojan could see that here, the rules were different. Blazer had obviously assumed that things were the same here, as in their homeland. he watched as the mare cantered toward his brother, and then gallop onto a mound by the lake.

Blazer's heart started to beat faster as Tammy came towards him. He wasn't sure weather to be alarmed, or happy. He drew himself up, incase Tammy was still angry at him, but relaxed when she laid her head onto his neck. "Tammy, Basilisk is my lead mare, but other than that, I would not consider her more than a friend." He wondered if Tammy would believe the truth or not. He hoped she would, but he knew what it was like to be crushed, and could understand if she didn't. "And what do you mean his wavy mane is awesome!" he said, with a hint of laughter in his voice. Trojan had always been admired by mares for his wavy mane. He watched as she galloped onto a mound. She looked so at home here. [/blockquote][/color][/size]

Tammy galloped back, toward Blazer and knew he was telling the truth "my love, you are the only one for me" she said and nuzzled his nose. "Stallions are here already, Scream is one of them" she said walking away, her tail just held high and her movements graceful. Watching her would be like watching a dance, every move thought about and striking. "Trojan, stay here in these lands...learn new rules and stay with us" she said and then looked at Blazer again, gazing into his eyes. "Do you remember the day we met, my mistress had captured you and you had introduced me to a new life" Tammy said and then she dropped her head, it was time. Evil thoughts started to ponder the mare's mind, she was turning darker and it wouldn't stop. "Maybe I should go back, to the tame life as hearts are never broken there" she snapped and walked up to Blazer. "To have my dream, the one you crushed in front of my very eyes" she said standing in front of Blazer.

Her eyes were like pools of darkness, evilness. "You know what my dream was Blazer" she said and drew herself up tall "foals" she said and then turned sharply and galloped. She galloped through the trees and into the plains below to look upon the lands of humans. She could have her dream there but was it worth it, she didn't know but this was the life she would live again. Blazer was still in the land, she was out of it by a few metres but the smell of home was now invading the darkness which fought her good side and won. She was now watching, waiting for Blazer to come and see his reaction.

Trojan looked at the mare, and smiled. "Mare, I cannot stay here. I am of royal blood, and I must return to my herd, and my mares." He lowered his head for a few nibbles of grass. The grass was better here. Much better than where he lived now. But good grass was not enough to wrench him from his herd. He knew he must return. When hee looked up again, he saw that mare had changed. She looked darker now. He watched as she left the clearing. His heart felt for his brother, and to tell him the news he had would pain him, but it must be done. He walked up to his brother. "Blazer. The reason I came, was to tell you that Father, and Pluto are dieing"

Blazer's ears went back as Tammy said Scream's name. When Tammy offered for Trojan to stay in the lands, he wanted his brother to accept, but he knew he couldn't. He had a herd to get back to. Then Tammy turned. He stepped back as she snapped at him, and then watched as she galloped away, out of Royal Lake. Then Trojan started to walk towards him. he didn't want to talk to his brother now, but he listened to the words he spoke. His eyes filled with horror as he told him that his father and sister were dieing. Without thinking, her took off, the way Tammy had left. He was going at full speed. To get to the lands he was born in, he would have to cross human territory.

[Spitz]

Tammy watched Blazer run past him, her good side suddenly fought and won. "Blazer" she shouted "Blazer don't go, I love you so much" she said and then felt all life go out of her. Then without warning the mare collapsed. Everything went blank for a moment but then she opened her eyes but couldn't find the energy to get up. "When I first saw you, I saw love. And the first time you touched me, I felt love. And after all this time, you're still the one I love." Tammy let the words drift out and she looked at Blazer and lifted her head.

Tammy would never let him go, he was her mate and she loved him. Everything made sence, good had defeated evil and things were clear in the mare's head. She slowly raised to her feet and took a step forward "You're still the one I run to, the one that I belong to, you're the one I want for life" Tammy said and she was looking at Blazer in the way she first looked at him. The look of love and it was so clear he was her life, without him she wasn't complete.

Trojan Leapt after his brother in a Gallop. Blazer had always been faster than he was. He was already out of sight. All the races they had when they were colts had certainly paid off on Blazer's behalf. He crashed through the trees, but he knew that Blazer would get there long before he would. Still, he had to get back. He jumped over a fallen log, but stummbled as he landed. His leg fell from beneath him, and twisted. He gritted his teeth and ran on, his leg causing agony to him.

Blazer ran out of the trees, and onto the plains. He had to get to his homeland, and fast. In his mind, he wandered what had happened to his sister, and his father. Was it men? Mountain lions? anything was posible. Then something stopped him. He skidded in the mud, to a hault. Tammy. He saw her fall, He trtted up to the fallen mare. The words that she had spoken had not yet sunk in. So much was going on. When Tammy opened her eyes again, relif flooded his body. Her words made his heart leap, but the pull to get back to his family was strong. "Tammy. I have to leave. I must get back to my family. My sister and my father are dieing. If I don't get there fast I fear I wilol never see them again. I will return, I promise." He nuzzled her, and then turned tail, and galloped, toward his homeland.

[Spitz]

Tammy nuzzled Blazer "then I come with you" she said and then saw Trojan was hurt "Trojan, your hurt" she said and trotted up to the stallion who was like her brother now. He was certainly in pain "Blazer, go on. I will go slow with Trojan, just get to your family" she said, feeling strong and in control. Blazer could get to his family first, they would arrive later but somehow Tammy was nervous of meeting Blazer's parents. Her way was different to hers but maybe they would accept herself to be Blazer's mate. She then trotted up to Blazer "I'm scared, what if you parents don't like me" she said nuzzling his pelt happily.

She didn't know her family so she would do anything for his, they were her family too now. If they died she would share the grief, things could be different and maybe she could go into Autumn Mountain and be with Blazer there. Things were muddled up still but she didn't care, some things made sence and some didn't but all things would work out in the end. She just hoped it would be a fairytale ending.

Trojan came out of the trees to be greeted by Tammy. He looked at his brother. Things seemed to be looking up for him again. His leg hurt, but it wasn't about to stop him. "Blazer, go. You were always faster than me anyway. Your mare will be alright with me. I won't let her get caught". He watched as Blazer left, and then turned to Tammy. "You good at jumping?"

Blazer turned to his brother, and then to Tammy. "Ok. But to get there we must cross human lands. Stick to the fields, and Trojan will show you the way" He turned to leave, but stopped when Tammy came up to him. "Don't be daft. They will like you, and if they don't, then they are foolish. But I warn you, don't be alarmed when you see my fathers herd...it's not like any other". With that, he turned on his tail, and galloped down the hill, into the lands of man.

[Spitz]

Tammy laughed a little "you wont let me get caught, your the one hurt" she said and stepped forward "yes, I was a great jumper when I was tame so I guess I still am" she said and laughed. She watched Blazer go and sighed "bye Blazer" she called and then looked at Trojan again. He was certainly hurt so she stood next to him and let her put his weight on herself. She then started to walk, letting Trojan lead and as Blazer dissapeared she walked toward the field, away from the town so they could go around it. She watched as Royal Lake was left behind and walked happily with the stallion next to her.

Blazer and her, they could be together but he was in Autumn Mountain now and she didn't know how things could work out. Then a idea sprung to her mind, he could have a foal with her which could be a heir to the throne so he could leave. She could finally have the stallion of her dreams if her plan worked as Blazer would be back home.

Trojan lead the way down the hill. As they came to a fence that lead into a field he turned to Tammy "You will have to jump the fence. I will follow" he wasn't quite sure how he was going to do it, but he knew he could. He stepped back from Tammy, so she could have her room to clear the fence. he hoped there wouldn't be many fences along the way, as he knew he could not go much further if there were.

Blazer Jumped a fence that lead into the first field, without even thinking about it. All he was intent on doing was getting home. Puzzled horses looked at him as he cleared the fence out of the field. He went unhindered for a while before something stopped him. A stallion had lunged for him, and bitten him on the shoulder. He reared up and kicked it on the flank, expecting it to fight back, but instead it fled. Tame stallions were never as spirited as wild ones. He carried on going, until he had crossed the human lands, and was onto the plains. It wasn't far now. He galloped on. he was getting tired, but it didn't slow him. At long last he saw the big oak tree that marked the border of the herd.
