A man stepped out of his silver Porsche 911 Carrera. He ran his hand through his hair and then strode toward the door of the restaurant. He was shown to a table and sat before glancing at the menu which had been provided for him. "Vegetarian lasagne and small glass of rosé please" he said to the waitress and then looked around the restaurant but it was quite empty with only a few couples sitting and talking. He sighed before taking a sip of the wine the waitress had just put infront of him and he nodded a thanks. He glanced around the restaurant again and hated being the new doctor as no one knew him.
His name was Christopher Turner and was the new doctor. He wore a simple shirt and jeans, he had just got off work. He had put a cast on a young girls broken arm as she had fell of her pony and that was all, it was a small town. He didn't want a ranch but wouldn't mind sharing with someone he loved, a girlfriend or wife maybe. He ran his hand through his hair again and then glanced at the dessert menu quickly before putting it back and waiting for his meal.

Kenya
Kenya walked into the restaurant with an energetic bounce in her step. Her chocolate hair was swept up into a bun, but stubborn tendrils fell out and curled around her face, which was completely free of any makeup. Despite the fact that one might think she had took time on her hair, she hadn't. She had just thrown it up, not wanting to bother with it. She thought about cutting it really short, but n ever followed through. Her green eyes were lit up and a thin smile curled the edges of her lips. She had just got off work and was looking forward to spending sometime in a nice restaurant for once. This was an oddity in her life, and she was planning on enjoying it to the fullest.
The young woman was dressed in a white tank top and faded blue jeans. It was winter by definition, but spring was almost here, which meant it wasn't very cold outside. Her tennis shoes and casual outfit looked out of place in the only fancy restaurant in town, as her gaze landed on those in the place, she noticed almost everyone was here on a date. She gave a casual shrug and continued to look around the establishment, until he eyes landed on a guy sitting along. She realized he was the new doctor and town, it was a small town after all, information like that was big. Her friendly nature won over and she walked towards his table, sitting down in the chair opposite of his. "Hey there, I'm Kenya Miller, the vet here in town."

Daniel heard the door open and couldn't help but to look to see a girl who to him looked amazing. She wasn't to flashy but wasn't plain either, she was perfect. As she walked over he couldn't help but smile he looked up as she talked and smiled "hey! I am Chris Turner, the new doctor" he said. Chris couldn't help but ask questions "so, where's the boyfriend? A pretty girl like you must have one" he said and laughed. He took another sip of wine and then rolled his eyes "how rude of me, would you like a drink or anything to eat?" he said, looking into her green eyes. They were bright, like emeralds and he was almost transfixed.
Chris glanced around the restaurant quickly, it was quiet except some music which played in the background which gave the restaurant a welcoming feel. He looked back at Kenya but listened to the relaxing music, he would of started to sway if he wasn't in a public that is. He was happy now, he was in a lovly area and a beautiful girl was sitting with him. Life was getting better every moment.

Kenya
A light smile covered her lips as he gave her a friendly grin in turn. At least he wasn't some stiff doctor from the city. Then again, why would one of those fancy doctors want to come out here in this small town? She sat down and looked at him with a curious gaze. Grinning as he introduced himself. "Yeah, I'm aware. News of a new doctor spreads like wild fire." Her green eyes sparkled in happiness, continuing to look at him. He looked handsome, she admitted to herself. And this was perhaps the first time she could say that about someone coming here. At least, someone her age. And Chris looked to be about her age.
Quiet laughter escaped from her mouth at his question. "If you take a look around this town, there really aren't any bachelors eligible." She gave him a teasing wink. "Yeah sure" She nodded her head. Glancing around, and then caught the attention of a waiter. "Salad and a coca-cola" The waiter wrote it down, and then turned around to leave. Kenya looked back towards Chris. "So, what about you, what are you doing in this small town?"

Chris smiled "looks like I am talk-of-the-town already" he said and laughed. He listened his smile widened "I guess, it is a small town anyway" Chris shook his head "nothing like the city, which is hell". He saw a waiter come out the doors with their meals and her drink before placing them on the table and leaving again. Chris ate some of his meal before answering her "well, the city is far too busy, couldn't get out your front door without hearing noise" he said and rolled his eyes. He had never liked the city as it was always so busy but now the town was wonderful. It was quiet and the hospital was a friendly place where people didn't have broken arms from fighting. He smiled to himself as the people who weren't fighting had been clumsy and slipped or walked into a lampost, that was a funny patient.
He looked up at Kenya "so, you have a ranch here then?" he said. She probably did, nearly everyone had a ranch here. He liked horses but had never learned to ride, or had he, his amnesia really was annoying some times. Chris was 11 years old when he woke up from the coma to find he didn't know hardly anything. He wished he could ride, he would look a right fool with someone who had horses and wanted to go riding with him. He then got a call "one second" he said to Kenya and answered. It was the hospital and he quickly told them what tablets to give to the patient and closed the phone and rolled his eyes "I'm away for five seconds". He laughed a little and ate more of the lasagne.

Kenya
"Of course" She answered readily with a smile. She nodded her head at his next statement. "But it is growing, but hopefully, it won't grow to much. I like the quiet." She grinned at him when he commented about the city. "Yeah, it is." Kenya responded in honest agreement. She hated the city, it was just so loud, and you couldn't even see the stars because of all the pollution. She wasn't sure how she had ever survived growing up there. Kenya glanced at the waiter and said a quick "Thank you" Before turning back to Chris. She picked up a fork and took a bite of her salad. She smirked. "You can't even be in your home without hearing noise." She laid her fork down by her plate, and then took a drink of her Coke, before folding her arms on the table, so she leaned forward slightly, not really that hungry.
Kenya grinned and nodded. She opened her mouth to respond, but a telephone ringing interrupted. She stopped and waited for him to answer, eating a few more bites of her salad as she waited. She glanced back up and nodded in understanding at his comment about being away. She laughed. "I know htte feeling." She set down her fork again. "Back to your question, most people do have a ranch here. Mine's about a twenty minute drive from this restaurant. No horses yet, but, those'll come in time." She cocked her head to the side and gazed at him curiously. "What about you? Do you have a ranch yet?" Seeing as he had just gotten here, she really didn't expect him to. But you never knew, maybe her had bought one before coming down here to live.

Chris laughed, he was getting rather bored sitting at the restaurant but at least he had wonderful company, he was starting to really like Kenya as she knew what it was like with her being a vet. "That is the reason I moved away from the city, the noise was horrible, I do prefer this small town" he said and then caught the attention of a waiter who walked over quickly "the bill please" Chris said as they had both finished their meals and he wasn't that impressed but he was a amazing cook but he never told anyone as he hated to boast. He listened as she talked about her ranch, it sounded like a really nice place and he would of loved to go there. He didn't like to ask though, that was his trouble. He couldn't ask out a girl without going redder than a tomato. Even though he was a really nice guy, Chris had many faults and he didn't enjoy not being able to talk to a girl as he had seen some amazing women that he just couldn't ask out. He has had only two dates in his entire life because he hasn't got the guts to ask anyone out.
"I can't even tack up a horse, let alone ride one" he chuckled at this as it was true. He had never learned to ride as when you lived in the city you really didn't need to. His sister had though, she had taken lessons and moved away to England last year and he missed the company of his sister as they really got along together. He didn't have a ranch, he was thinking about living with someone for a while as he couldn't ride and maybe if he found someone nice enough they would teach him the basics or he would learn himself like he did with many things in his life. "No. I might get one but I'm not sure as I will be forever at the hospital and no time at the ranch" he said as the waitor came over with the bill. Chris paid the bill and then stood up "well Kenya, it was nice meeting you" he said shifting his weight from one foot to the other. Now was the awkward part, he didn't know what to do from here.
