Tall, dark and handsome. People usually described Josh McEacheran that way at first sight. The young man was wealthy, but it definitely did not show in his appearance. Jeans had a thorough dusting of arena dirt and his formerly white shirt still had a white tint, but was more of a very light beige. A slightly annoyed look was creeping its way onto his face, and blood flowed to his cheeks.
It was his first day here, and he already had almost been trampled by a feisty colt resisting the art of being lunged. He had charged at Josh, forcing the young man to dive quickly out of the way into the corral's dirt. After handing the colt off to a groom, he walked towards the main house, hoping to talk to his boss, Illiana Thornblade.
Josh had bought a new horse, stallion to be precise. Wanting to see what Illiana thought of the stallion. He was a very gentle horse, and it wouldn't be hard to train him. Knocking on the door of the house, he quickly tried to dust himself off. When the door opened, he smiled.
"Hello!"

The ranch was faring pretty well for it's first time opening. Already there was one employee, Josh, and four horses on the scene, even though three belonged to the owner herself, Illiana Thorneblade. Phoenix Racing Stables was the first of it's kind around the area, and Ana really hoped that it would live on, and even grow. She was sitting inside the house, rummaging through some papers, and some bills, gazing out the window towards the barns. A soft sigh came between her lips as she thought about Dmitri, wondering when he would come and visit. Last she heard, he had gotten a horse, which surprised her just a small amount. Even though he was.... slightly crippled, he worked at Bar None, Ivan Mazeepo's, or whatever his name is, ranch. "Hm... maybe he'll come here instead," Ana mused, truly hoping he would.
She heard a knock at the door and promptly stood up, dark blue jeans covering her legs, and just a simple light blue t-shirt. Nothing out of the ordinary, and definately not stuck-up-boss-style. Ana opened the door, and was greeted by a very friendly 'hello' from Josh, the new trainer. For the life of her Ana couldn't remember his last name, but it was truly confusing, so she hoped he wouldn't mind. "Hello. Would you like to come in?" she asked, opening the door farther and sweeping a hand aside, as if in formal greeting. "Everything going well?" she asked, leaning against her desk, which still held two nice piles of paper.

The young man shifted from foot to foot slightly, still brushing off dust as the door opened all the way and Illiana stood there expectantly. He ran one hand through his messed up hair, somewhat embarrassed.
"Uh.. Sure. I hope I'm not disturbing your.. work."
He said awkwardly. Josh had never been any good around women, especially if they were his boss. His tall figure loomed over Illiana. Being at least six inches taller than her and much heavier, he probably seemed a bit.. odd, since he seemed afraid when talking with her.
"Well, that's what I'm here to talk about. Everything is great, and I've just bought a.. racehorse? I hope you don't mind. He's a very good horse. Want to see him?"
The words sort of tumbled out, rolling into each other and making him hard to understand. Instead of talking more, he just grinned goofily to make up for it.

Ana opened the door slowly, noticing how Josh ran a hand through his hair, as if embaressed by the fact he was talking to her. Some guys she just couldn't understand. "No, not at all. One can only go through so much paperwork at a time," she said, still in her normally cheerful voice. She couldn't see why there was a hint of awkwardness in his tone, but maybe it was the fact that he towered over her, and to look in his eye she was to literally look up. The thought made her think of one of her favorite quotes that her friend used to say, regarding a teacher. "Hey, hows the weather up there? Any birds in your hair yet?"
"Oh? It's fine. Race Horses are always welcome, of course. I would love to see him. Has he got a name?" Ana asked, still looking up at Josh. His words took her a second to figure out, but since everyone had that American accent here, she was quite used to having to figure words out. Not to mention she was quite good at it too. His grin on the other hand, made up for it, and she waited for his answers.
