Show:Red Roses Arena. 16 Jumps. Horse:Swift Wind Rider:Daniel May-Bell Stats:5/4/4/6/5/5/7/8 Trainings Done:0 Roleplay: Daniel led Swift into the arena. He was dressed in black boots, beige jodhpurs, a white shirt and a red coat. With a quick tap Swift was into a canter and after cantering the perimeter of the arena he was moving toward the first jump. Daniel gathered him up and Swift hesitated before jumping. The jump was cleared but Swift was so close to knocking the jump over but as he started to relax he got better.
Swift cantered toward the brightly coloured object and he started to speed up and then he jumped. He started to have fun and but then saw the water jump. He tensed and slowed down I will not jump this he thought as he hadn't been broken into water jumps well. The rider had been bad and he had landed straight in the water with the fence panel splintering and scratching his leg badly. He saw the jump come closer and he tensed and ready to swerve.
Daniel felt Swift tence "come on boy, its ok" he said and lightly pulling the rain right as he started to turn left. Daniel smiled as Swift galloped toward the jump and he jumped it. The water was under them and he was making a good length and then they landed onto the sandy ground. The jump had been cleared and Daniel tapped Swift's sides to urge him on toward the cross-bar. It was a easy jump but just two paces after you had to go into a triple jump. Daniel had watched them place the jumps and knew the paces well, 1 pace, 1 pace and then half a pace. They jumped neatly over the cross-bar and then toward the triple jump.
Swift came to the first jump and he jumped happily. He noticed the one pace immediatly and then jumped the second but then he got confused. It was a good trick but to Swift he hated it and had to jump quickly or it would be too late. He felt Daniel tap his sides and he jumped but it was too late and his hooves hit the bar making it wobble and fall to the ground. He cleared the rest of the jumps easily and then headed toward the last.
Daniel saw the last jump and he leaned toward Swifts mane before taking off of the ground. It was a amazing thing to do and he was happy as the saddle was his favourite place to be. As he felt the earth getting closer and with a quiet thud they landed happily on the ground and the jumps were cleared. He pulled Swift up and then patted his neck before walking him out of the arena to get him sponged down and have a drink.

Show: Red Roses Arena. 16 Jumps. Horse: The Last Huzzah Rider: Riley Brynne Dodge Stats: 3/7/4/5/5/7/6/5 Trainings Done: none Roleplay:
Brynne Dodge swallowed hard as she mounted her four year old Hanoverian stallion. She swung easily onto the 17 hh stud and positioned herself for jumping. She adjusted her feet in the stirrups and patted her horse's neck. "Ready, Huzzah?" Her words were calm, but her insides were going crazy. She hadn't jumped in a real show since the accident...
Brynne snapped her helmet buckle and examined her outfit. Her tan riding jodhpurs went well with her white shirt and black coat. She thought it looked good with the all black stallion. She took a deep breath and pressed her heels lightly into the stallion's side. Huzzah moved forward immediately and positioned his elegant head correctly. Brynne patted his shoulder softly and clucked lightly. The Hanoverian trotted into the arena easily and Brynne directed him around the arena. She smiled and nodded to the judges before picking up a collected canter.
Huzzah cantered forward at a rocking horse pace and Brynne sat easily in the small English jumping saddle. Her heels occasionally encouraged the stallion forward, but he pretty much kept the same pace. A squeeze with her calves sent Huzzah into a faster canter. She was ready to jump.
The pair approached the first jump at an easy pace. A simple verticle lay before them and Brynne rose into two point position as Huzzah cleared it with no problem. The second jump, an oxer, was cleared with as much precision as the first. This team definitely was a factor for competitors. The trust and skill was there.
The next jumps passed in a blur for her. Before she knew it, they were approaching the second to last jump. A triple bar was taken in stride by the 17 hh showjumper as they headed for the final jump of the show...the wall. Brynne had a horrible jumping accident last time she attempted the wall in a show. Practices were fine, but shows were different.
Brynne nudged Huzzah with her heels as they approached. 1,2,3. 1,2,3. She counted his stride and breathed in as Huzzah's powerful legs launched them from the ground. Brynne held her breath as they soared as one up and over the wall. A smile crossed her face briefly before looking towards the finish line.
Brynne and Huzzah crossed the line with no faults and a good, solid ride. Hopefully the judges thought so, too. Brynne walked Huzzah out of the arena and went to cool down her stallion.

Ava McRae
Show: Red Roses Arena. 16 Jumps. Horse: These Painted Dayze Rider: Ava McRae Stats: 6/4/5/6/7/4/4/8 Trainings Done: None. Roleplay:
The announcer's voice came from the speaks above, though slightly hidden from the view of the teenage girl. Her cool and calm posture as she sat astride her horse did nothing to portray her inner thoughts. The insides of her stomach seemed to be on the warpath, and not giving her a moment of piece. Ava scolded herself mentally, she shouldn't be nervous. There was simply no reason to be. Still, she couldn't seem to ignore the twisting, nauseating feeling that wouldn't leave her along and give her relief. Ava glanced down, the bill of her english riding cap shadowing her flawless face, her face twisted into a grimace as she saw her mount's ears laid back flat against his head. With one hand she patted Dayze on his sleek neck. Maybe taking him to the competition today wasn't the brightest of ideas. Oh well, she was already entered and she had to follow through.
"Up next is Ava McRae, riding These Painted Dayze." Well, that's my cue, she thought to herself. Briefly she looked down, surveying her competition outfit for anything that shouldn't be there. Finding none, with a calm expression covering her face, she nudged Dayze forward, every so slightly with her heels. He responded, though grudgingly. Which wasn't the best of reactions. With firm commands, she got him to go into a gallop. Starting off it was rocky and quite uncomfortable, in a few moments it smoothed out and was an easy gait to sit to. As she saw the first jump she prepared herself. The pinto stallion wasn't in the best of moods and needed all of her attention if they wanted to do well. Losing, to say the least, was something Ava disliked quite a bit.
As the first jump approached, she kept her gaze locked on the area right after it. When they were at the jump, she rose in her seat, squeezing with her legs to keep the stallion moving. She wasn't sure, but from the feel of it she was pretty sure that the Dayze's form was correct as they soared over the first jump. As she started counting paces, after they landed on the other side of the jump, she didn't here a pole hitting the ground. Yet, that could be because of the fact that she was completely focused, and didn't hear much of anything as she flew over the jumps on the back of her horse.
The entire course, seemed to fly by. She fervently hoped that she did well in the eyes of the show judges. In only a matter of seconds, or so it seemed to her, they were approaching the last jump. She focused all her remaining energy on trying to make it over the jump without a mistake. One pole could cost her a place in the competition. She got into the proper position, and then lifted up from the saddle, leaning forward as she felt the sensation of flying through the air. As the front hooves of the stallion touched the ground, she seemed to snap back into the real world. The sounds battering her ear drums mercilessly. She managed a small smile, and then she and Dayze exited the arena. Holding her breath and hoping for the best. Dayze was his usual stubborn self during the entire thing, and she was sure she had some mess ups because of that. Even a really talented rider can't ride a semi-trained horse like it's fully trained and has no problems. It takes training, which was what she was going to give the flashy stallion.

Show: Red Roses Arena. 16 Jumps. Horse: Moonlit Romance Rider: Grace Calder Stats: 5/4/4/6/5/6/7/8 Trainings Done: 2 Roleplay: The black mare rose her head, ears twitching like antennae as her rider murmured in her ear. Before them, a beautiful paint was simply soaring over the jumps under an extremely talented rider. Grace could see how much the stallion was tugging at the bit, but she was more interested in attending to her mare than watching the other rider right at the moment. "Come on, Romance," Grace whispered, rubbing along the mare's neck and across her back, hand brushing the lovely jumping saddle that was sitting there. Placing her foot in the long stirrup, she boosted herself up, the mare prancing beneath her as she rose. It was terrible manners, and Grace wouldn't have let her get away with it, normally. However, today was special, their first show here and in a while. The mare snorted nervously as Grace quickly did up the stirrup, watching as the paint exited the arena with his head jarring up and down. It had been a great round, and Grace didn't know if her and Romance would be able to make it quite that well. The mare was far past her jumping prime, her bad treatment in early life causing her back leg action to be a bit less powerful than it might have been otherwise.
"Rider number 23, Grace Calder up on Moonlit Romance, now entering the arena," came the metallic voice of the loudspeaker. Grace nudged Romance into a walk, passing the woman who was opening and closing the gate with a broad grin. Butterflies were fluttering aimlessly around her stomach. No matter how many times she did this, it still made her nervous. Romance launched into a canter almost automatically, Grace sitting back and relaxing as much as she could, her rolling sit cut short and rising out of the saddle at the end to collect the mare as much as possible. The powerful limbs of the Hanoverian pumped out across the surface of the ground, already roughed up by the hooves of other horses. This was not the best place to be riding - the first rider always had the best footing for the jumps. But Grace had made sure that the footing would be good even if torn up, her walk-around had been after another class had just finished, and the gravel was retaining its scatter relatively well.
"Easy now," Grace murmured, something of her father's accent creeping into her voice as they left the opening circle and went toward the first line of jumps. The steady da-da-DAH of the cantering rhythm became slower, more focused, and Grace began to silently count. 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3, JUMP! With a coiling of muscles under her calves, Grace leaned across the mare's neck, chin about a foot above her braided mane as they flew over the first easy wall, a simple stone thing. The next was glaringly white, painted with red stripes and yellow bands and smothered in bright flowers. Romance wasn't generally spooked by these things, however, and grace was unworried. The mare's neck curved slightly as they counted out the three strides again and were off, soaring through the air and hitting the ground so fast it almost seemed as if it had never happened.
Grace relaxed into her sitting again as they went into the far curve, changing leads to go over the diagonal. Romance simply flew through the lead change, that one and two and switch that they had practiced only last week. The next jump was an oxer, followed by a high wall at only two and a half paces, which was a difficult combination. Grace allowed Romance to extend, not leaning so far on her neck to clear the wide oxer, and, spirits raised, began to count silently toward the wall. In the midst of the second stride, she asked, leaning so far forward that she almost touched the mare's ears. Romance, who like any horse couldn't see the jump once she was within six feet of it, hesitated for the briefest moment, and then went over. But that moment was enough, her hind hooves caught the top bar. Grace snapped up quickly, preparing for a bad landing and looking back slightly. But the bar was only clipped, and shuddered slightly but didn't fall.
Romance landed funnily, her stride off. For sickening moment she was in the wrong lead, unprepared for the turn to go across the judge's line. Then, on the second stride, she straightened out and they turned sharply, pulling up quickly at the judge's line. This was the most difficult yet: a roll top and then an in-and-out, Grace's favorite but still one of the most difficult jumps. The roll-top was bright green and red striped, yellow flags waving eerily in the wind, but Romance went into it with no difficulty and sailed over. Grace let out a long sigh, glad that the clipped bar didn't hurt Romance, and then turned her attention to the in-and-out. Three crossbars stood not even a pace in front of one of another, challenging horse and rider to take them one at a time in rapid succession. Grace collected Romance under her leg, allowing the mare to put her head down some to study the jumps as they approached.
They hopped over the first crossbar at a slow pace, and then the second, and the third, before bursting clear and going at a quick extended canter around the rail and into their exiting circle. Grace was elated, her grin wide. Even if they didn't place - what Romance had done today was fantastic. The mare's former injuries had caused her to be unable to take bigger jumps like these until now, but the months of work had payed off. As they exited the arena, Grace barely heard the announcer begin to speak in that metallic voice again, she was grinning to broadly. "Romance, you're fantastic!" she cried, leaning forward and scratching the mare's ear at its base. Romance snorted and tossed her braids a little bit, enjoying the praise and feeling every bit as happy as her rider was.

RESULTS;; red roses arena Well, this was an extremely exciting round of showjumping. The results were so close that the judges were befuddled, trying to figure out who had won. Finally, though, we have reached a conclusion...
In FOURTH place is DANIEL MAY-BELL on SWIFT WIND Judge's Comments: 64 score overall. You need to work on your grammar and descriptions, and your knowledge of showjumping didn't show at all in your post. For one, you do not canter the perimeter of the arena in showjumping, you make a circle at the front half, and you rarely approach a jump at a gallop. Also, your triple jump was really and in-and-out combination, so the description was very confusing. We wish you well on further endeavors.
In THIRD place is RILEY DODGE on THE LAST HUZZAH Judge's Comments: Overall was 78. Honestly, you were just really, really unlucky. You were in a two-way tie for second and raring for the lead, but unfortunately your luck score let you down! Your role play was excellent, but there is no finish line in show jumping...
In SECOND place is AVA MCRAE on THESE PAINTED DAYZE Judge's Comments: Overall score was an 84. You were the other half of the two-way tie for second, only 2 points behind the lead even at the end. Statistically, your horse was the worst one of the field, and the lack of training certainly didn't help you. Nonetheless, good job.
And, in FIRST place is GRACE CALDER on MOONLIT ROMANCE Judge's Comments: Overall: 86. Frenzi judged my show post. Due to my trainings and the fact that Romance was the strongest statistically in the field, I barely skirted being caught in the tie for places!
Congratulations! Money can be transferred to your bank account immediately. [/center][/blockquote]
