Sam woke up in her warm, cosy bed. She didn't want to move, then she remembered that she was going to make her first atempt at wrangling today. She bounced to her feet and got some clothes together before (taking the clothes with her) going to the bathroom to have a shower. After her shower she brushed her teeth and hair, got her clothes on and bounded downstairs for breakfast, which was (as usual) Cheerios. After enjoying 3 big bowls of Cheerios, Sam went upstairs and picked up her rucksack, pulled her boots on, and of she went.
Once outside the door she trotted across the drive way to her stables, she looked inside them to check if they were ready. She had just decided that it would be foolish to check all the boxes, (and barns) when a dog ran up to her barking. It was Rex. Shrugging her rucksack higher onto her sholders she set of at a confident pace towards where she hoped the camp was.

Sam walked tiredly through the door, she was wet and muddy and her hair was a mess. But she knew that Rex needed some attention, a horse had kicked his head. Right now Rex was slung over her shoulders, unconscious and weak. She stepped into the dark kitchen and turned the lights on before putting Rex's limp form on the floor. Shaking her head she went into the living room to get a rug and some bandages, her eyes were droopy with sleep and she had to fight hard to keep them open. She took the rug and bandages into the kitchen and put them down beside Rex, then she took a tea towel out of a drawer and soaked it at the tap. She walked back across the tiled kitchen floor to Rex and started to wash his head. Carefully she drew the wet cloth across his forehead and crest, wiping them clean of dirt and blood, she picked up the bandages and wound them round his head before dragging him onto the rug so he'd be more comfortable. Then she yawned and started to slowly walk up the stairs to bed. Before she went to sleep she made a quick prayer, a prayer for happiness and for Rex.
