Behind her the ancient forest flowed into darkness, it had taken nearly one full day of travelling to breach its shaded boundaries. However, she finally did it, and here she was. Ahead of her and not too far away a large lake took the center place of the land, its most prominant feature. Reflecting the ivory clouds back into the azure sky and catching the mares gaze for longer than was neccicary. Suddenly, her obsidian pistons ate the grassed grounds as she trotted forwards, slowly, nervously.
Lowering her head slightly then tossing it upwards again, she revelled in the warm sun playing along her dark-lined back. Twisting her neck she skimmed her golden orbs over the area quickly in search for life, before turning to bite an annoying itch on her henna flank.
Looking around once more, she found she still saw no-beast. Snorting with impatience she finally shifted her weight back and reared playfully, whinnying as loudly as possible before galloping swiftly into the shallows of the lake. Stomping with pleasure, she watched the water fly. For now, until a visitor came, she would play and relax. After all, it was clearly claimed land but with no visible owner. Someone had to pass through sooner or later.
