The mares banner flew as she galloped in and out of the trees. Tears were streaming down her face, half of joy, half of sadness. The mare was named Tammy, once tame but now she was wild and her mate was now the king of some royal land. She was now in this royal land and looking for him but her mind pulled her away from him and her heart toward him.
She wondered what she would say to him get away you horrible stallion, you broke my heart Blazer or Blazer! I love you but why did you leave me she thought hard about it and then smiled option two. She reached the river and the pebbles crunched uner her hooves. Everything was quiet in her mind, she couldn't hear the bird song; the rushing sound of the river and the scuttle of squirrels searching for their food before autumn.

Blazer drank the cool water from the river. It tasted good, and even better with the knowledge that he was the neutral king. His mind started to wander. He remembered Tammy. How could he ever forget? She was his mare, and always would be. He had to go and find her, bring her back here, to live in the royal lands. He had two mares now, and would be faithful to both. Well, he wouldn't go off and find another mare. If he ever had to pick between them, he knew he couldn't do it.
He looked up at the sound of pebbles crunching under hooves. There stood the black mare, that was Tammy. His audits pricked, and he sent a low nicker "Tammy" he said "I was just about to look for you".
He took a step into the crisp water, and waded across to where the mare stood. He stood a few feet away from the mare, not quite sure how she would react. He wanted her to come with him, into the royal herd. If she didn't, he wouldn't know what to do, as he couldn't imagine life without her, or Basilisk.

Tammy looked up at Blazer and she sighed "Blazer...I love you so much and I am flattered that you were coming to find me but why did you leave me?" she asked and a tear streamed down her face leaving a black line down her face. The tears starting to run down her face and she forced a small smile which faded very quickly "well done anyway" she said flatly.
She turned away and sped up into a canter, away from this stallion and the land he now led "I should just go back to Jessie where I am loved" she called as she raced through the trees but she dropped when she reached the mountains. Her legs buckled and she fell onto the grass so she lied there not wanting to get up. Sound starting to come back to her as she started to have a headache. The bird song was terrible but the sound of water rushing drowned it out which made her head feal horrible.

Blazer watched as the mare turned tail and started to run away. At first, Tammy had been just a mare to him, but then, when he had been placed king, he realised that he didn't want her to leave his life. He started to canter after her, but she had gone into the trees. He could nether hear, nor smell her.
He skidded to a hault. He could see a dark shape in the grass. "Tammy?". It had to be her, what else could it be. he hadn't meant to upset her, but he loved this land, and didn't want to be parted from it, nor the mare that was queen. But then again, the mare that now lay in front of him was on the verge of leaving his life for good. He didn't want that at all. He was tuck. What should he do?. He sighed, and lowwered his head. Every thing was going wrong.

Tammy looked up at Blazer "leave me and my broken heart be Blazer, I don't want you to crush it any more than you already have" she snapped at him and slowly got up. Her cold eyes looked at Blazer and she turned again and started to trek up the mountain. She struggled up but then she reached the path and walked slowly away from the land and away from the stallion who she loved.
Her mind wandered. Would she ever come and see Blazer again? or stay alone and maybe gallop back to her home where she belonged. There were lovly places at her home not to mention their owner. She thought of her mistress and if she had any more horses that she could be with. Everything was silent as she walked through the mountains and before she knew it the grass was under her feet and she was away from the mountains and out of the land where Blazer now lived.

Blazer felt his heart sink as she said those words. He wated her get up, and leave once more. He knew that it would be no use following her. He bent his knees, and lay down in the grass. He closed his eyes, and waited for the nightmare to end. He wanted to wake up from the horrible dream, back at the river, where he had seen Tammy, or even before he had met the mare. But then him being king would also be a dream, and he hated the thought of that as well. He felt himself drifting off into a deep sleep.
He opend his eyes. he looked out over his herd, big and strong, Basilisk by his side. The foals ran around, playing tag with each other, and enjoying life. Everything was good, but something was strange. The mare next to him had changed colour. The land around him was changing. The lake was there, and the herd was now smaller that before. Then it started to change again, this time, there was something on his back, and a metalic taste in his mouth. He was cantering up to a brightly coloured obsticle. He took a leap, and over he went, and the sound of cheering arose from big stands.
He awoke with a jolt. He was there, lying in the grass, with the birds chirping. He sighed, and rested his head on the ground.

Tammy looked back at the mountains and she felt a urge to run back. Her heart cried out to Blazer and this time Tammy followed her heart and she started to gallop up the path. Her banner flew behind her and her boa stretched out infront of her. She felt the soft grass under her feet and then she turned to see Blazer who was asleep on the grass.
She walked behind him and lied down, nuzzling his belly. "Blazer, I love you and never want to leave you" she said and smiled. Then Blazer started to fade into a wisp of smoke and Tammy opened her eyes to see she was on the other side of the mountains, it had been a dream. She sighed but then smiled "it's a sign" she said and stood up and looked back at the mountains and the biggest smile ever printed on her face.
She made her dream reality and galloped over the mountains but she had taken a wrong turning and emerged at his back where he couldn't see her. She silently lied down behind him and then whispered quietly "Blazer, why did you come here when you had me" she said soflty and stood up and walking toward his face.

Blazer heard a voice. Was it his mind playing tricks on him? It was so far away. He looked up to see Tammy walking toward him. He got up, and shook the flies off his ebony sheen. "Because the lands call to me. And if I do not go where I am meant to be, it drives me crazy." He looked back into his lands "You could be there too. I could ensure you got a high rank in the herd." He knew that he would have to talk to Basilisk first, but he was pretty sure that she would agree. He hoped the two mares would get along. He didn't want them to despise each other. He took a deep breath. Life was about to make a turn around, and he hoped it would be for the better. He wanted a large, healthy herd, with both of the mares. He wasn't light, and so it was likely for many neutral stallions to have more than one mare.

Tammy sighed but still stayed "Blazer, we have known eachother for a long time now and don't you think we had a foal" she said and looked at him. She hoped he would accept as Tammy had always wanted a foal ever since hers had been taken away. She hoped this foal, if Blazer accepted, would be a filly as she had a perfect name for it. Crazy Diamond.
She looked over at the lands and swished her tail. She wanted to meet the leader of this herd so much "Blazer, I would love to meet the Queen" she laughed and couldn't wait to be mean to the mare who stole her mate. She hated Basilisk in every way possible and hoped that she would back off so herself and Blazer could be together and back in Royal Lake. Tammy was wondering if Blazer would ever had a foal with herself now he had Basilisk and what would Basilisk say to Blazer already having a mate.

The lands of Autumn Mountain never seemed to shift from the season they were named after, the magnificent color array held everyone that came near, almost everyone. A couple had to pry their over-large orbs from the scenery to get back to where they were going. The land seemed to have almost a magical feel... and any species could tell when something else was coming near. The blood bay mare flared her nostrils to catch the incoming scent of a passer-by, a mare, and Blazer. Her beautiful bodice moved almost like a feline as she twisted through the pine trees, never leaving the pace of a well-planned trot, boa arching elegantly. There had only been three that tried for her mate and Neutral King, but that didn't upset her in the least.
Obsidian hooves lightly touched the earth as the shapes of two horses were seen, and as her jaws parted, a shrill neigh entered the air, easily being carried to the pair. Her orbs narrowed as she recognized Blazer, and the mare's scent was familiar to her, as it had been close to covering Blazer when he arrived. She came up to the pair without a second though, forming the point of a triangle, and letting off the air of importance. It was very obvious she was the Queen of Autumn Mountain, only a fool wouldn't be able to see that. "And you are?" she asked coldly, auds flicking backwards slightly as the sound of the mare's voice edged onto her nerves immediately.

Tammy thought she heard a twig break near her and her auds pricked quickly. The queen emerged from the trees and Tammy smiled "hello Basilisk, I am Tammy and am Blazer's mate" she said and her eyes narrowed. The mare may be royal but to Tammy she was nothing and Blazer had been her mate first and he would stay her mate until death do they part.
She stepped toward Basilisk and laughed. She knew if Blazer accepted to have her foal Basilisk wouldn't be happy "oh and Basilisk, I must say that me and Blazer are planning on having a foal" she said and then a laugh pierced the air. Everything, in Tammy's eyes, were going perfect and she waited for what the mare would say as she was Blazer's mate and so was herself and that made everything hilarious in her eyes.

Blazer saw Basilisk come through the trees. His audits pricked, but the flickered as the mare spoke with an icy tone. He knew this wouldn't go as he had planned. The two mares in his life were at a conflict.
Blazer was supprised at Tammy's words. A foal? When was this decided? He had never agreed to that. "Tammy..." he said. His tone spoke for it's self. He was very supprised. He really didn't want the mares to despise each other. He knew though, that it was seeled. The two mares would hate each other, no matter how much he wanted other wise. It was from his background though. Where he had come from, having two mares was the normal thing to do, if not more. he knew that light ways were to always stay faithful, and that dark stallions kept fals commitments. But in his herd, his father had had, many mares. They were all fine with it, and got along well, but something told him, that this was not the case here.

"Your name even sounds light," Basil commented, her voice showing no emotion at all, a wicked grin planted on her maw. "Really now? Blazer?" she asked, without turning to the stallion. "It isn't a great idea to make assumptions, however false or true might they be," Basilisk advised, her calm and collected stature never swaying. This mare was beyond annoying, and her voice was enough to make Basilisk want to rip the vocals from her throat, but that was too dark for her... though there were other options. "More assumptions? There is no foal currently, that much is clear." the bloody mare said again, knowing that this was mostly false by Blazer's reaction.
Basilisk resisted the urge to flinch when the horribly sickly voice wafted into the air as a laugh. The normal voice was enough, the laugh was close to unbearable. If she had been canine, lips would have been pulled back to reveal sharp razors, and a snarl would have escaped her throat, but equine's didn't have that kind of luxury. They made do with normal, dull teeth, and sharp hooves, though even so fights were common, though very boring to a spectator. There was another rustle in the bushes, and the white lil' foal that Blazer had brought back with him poked her head through, eyes curious and inquisitive. She was very curious, though her personality was still a mystery to Basilisk.

Tammy sighed as she said her name was light "no Basilisk, its not Light or Dark in fact and its definatly noy Neutral" she said hoping the mare would take the hint that she was once tame. "anyway, there is a interesting Dark stallion who has taken a little liking to me" she said and giggled before turning sharp and walking toward her old mate, Blazer.
"This is what you get for hurting me Blazer" she sighed and then swished her tail happily. She returned to Basilisk and smiled "you know, if you had been nice I might of been a good addition to your herd, a foal producing mare, I thought you would snap me up in a instant" she laughed. Her gaze set on the little foal and her eyes narrowed "no, you can't be" she said quickly and walked over "you could" she said and turned to Blazer "spitting image of my tame foal" she mouthed as Blazer knew all about her foal who she had only glimpsed before it was taken away from her. She had only seen the white pelt before it looked at her and the eyes reminded her so much of this little filly.
