Xanadu had caught his eye and then shivered again, she then couldn't help but step down from the platform and down onto the paradise. She walked through the cave and then onto the ledge. She jumped down from the ledge and across the mountain path and she was smiling all the way. She then jumped down from the mountain path and onto the sand again. She walked toward the den and lied down infront of it "Kaisa..." she said and sighed before shivering again as a cold wind brushed over her "sorry, I was upset...I just thought you loved me" she said and licked his muzzle. She then looked over, toward the east to see the rising sun. It was truly beautiful, to see just a fragment of light over the horizon and it already washing away some darkness.
She couldn't wait until the warmth, it would warm her freezing body and make it easier for her to move about when it was warm. She yawned slightly and then slowly got up and stretched out before walking around quickly and looking at Kaisa. She sent out a playful yap to him and then rushed back and forth, her delicate paws weren't hurting too much. She then saw another rabbit and immediatly lost her playful touch and started to slink toward it. She then broke into a run and watched it run away but she was slowly getting closer. As it started to turn she was one step further and then they were facing eachother and in a quick bite the creature was limp. "Rabbits, they are fast ones" she said to Kaisa and picked it up before trotting back over to him.

Kaisa opened his eyes as he heard his name, to see the femme in front of him. He lifted his head. He knew, deep down that he would find it extremely hard to love again, and it could take years. "I am just not ready to love again. The last time was many years ago, but it has still left an imprint in me" he stood up, and stretched, and then sat down and watched the horizon, as the sun began to sliver over the land, and fill it with light and warmth.
He watched as the femme began to play, and then slink off in pursuit of prey. He waited patiently for her to return, before going back into the den and retrieving the other carcass. He lay down, and started to chew on it. he was very hungry now, and this would only satisfy him for a few hours, but at least it was something.
