Death is the thing that you don't see,
In the flash of light, the blinding blink,
All is changed and all does change,
The cardinal and the phoenix take wing,
And soar, a bit left behind on the sour wind,
While the bird below them is laid in a cask,
Aide all those fallen birds! They scream,
For naught is what the phoenix can divine!
What find, in my own home I tend to lie,
Asleep without a hint of worry on my face.
