A young mare, just two and a half was lost. But who cared? Certainly not her. Her swift canter carried her father into no where. At least, to her. It smelled of humans, and it made her quite curious. That's why she kept going. She was a curious little thing. Butterfly slowed to a trot, a nd felt totally at ease. The scent was familer to her, she was born captive. Maybe she could get away today, but she wondered about this place.
This place... it smelled. Humans, of course. But Butterfly longed to be back with humans, with their tender hands and loving voices. Although she knew not all of them were as nice, and she knew not all horses were as lucky as her. The mare watched her scenery. It was quiet place, she was in a clearing. There wasn't much grass, just dirt. Trees surrounded her.
The mare was a beautiful palomino, one you couldn't take your eyes off of. She had taken care of herself, with only a few scrapes and cuts, she was in good condition. Butterfly had amber eyes, they look like mud. Her body was beautiful, although she was a little skinnier then usual. Her tail, long and it swished side to side happily.
Butterfly nickered, loud, trying to get attention. Where were the people? She was bored. Yes, yes. She was an outcast anyway, she didn't want a herd, she longed for people! The filly snorted and nieghed loud. Maybe she was too quiet? Finally, she gave up and bent her neck down to graze. Her tired limbs weren't much of a use anyway.
