The old, rusty horse box, trundled down the drive, towards the ranch. Paddy stamped his small, delicat foot, as the box bounced, and he was shaken about. He let out a shrill winnie, in objection. He didn't like being stuffed inside a lorry, and being taken 150 miles away from home. He threw his hay about impatiently. He snorted, and kicked at the side of the box.
Then the box came to a halt, and the dravers door opened, and then slammed shut. He heard muffled voices outside, and foot steps. Then the ramp came away from the box, and his owner came up the ramp, and untied him. Paddy nipped his arm, and sniffed around his pockets fir treats. Then he was lead off the lorry, and his rope was handed over to a strange man, who lead him off to a strange stable, with fresh hay, and shavings.

Jessie happily ran over to the box with her dogs by her feet "hello" she said as she walked into the stable with a sugar cube in her hand "you are a pretty boy" she said and stroked him while the dogs ran around outside exploring. She immediatly grabbed the rope and started to lead him outside the stables and into the pasture where he could have a run as she knew horses like to run after they had been cooped up in a trailer all day.
She then went into her tack room and found some tack she thought would fit him and walked back out and put it on the fence. She whistled to him and clicked her tounge before jumping over the fence and smiling "here Bear" she shouted and got a carrot out her pocket "come on if you want a nice freshly picked carrot" she said as Maybell Acres was also a small farm.

Paddy nickerd, as a girl walked into his box. He munched on a sugar cube she gave him, and then followed her out to a field. He almost dragged her off her feet, whan she let him go. He tore off across the field, bucking and nieghing with delight. He took a nibble of grass, before galloping off again.
He came trotting back to her, when she whistled him back, and munched on the carrot she had. It tasted good. He would like it here he thought. He pressed his nose in her pockets, to see if there was any thing more to eat. To his delight, he found a pocked full of sugar cubes. He got his teeht round a few, and crunched down on the sweet blocks of sugar. He stopped when he felt a tap on his nose, and his head being shoved away from the pocket and the wonderful sugar.

Jessie smiled and pushed him away from her pocket "now now boy, otherwise there will be none left for bedtime" she said and scratched his head before jumping over the fence and towards her tack room which desperatly needed painting. She went inside and got 3 scoops of oats and put them in a small bag before getting the tack which looked like they would fit him so she grabbed then and walked back over to Paddington Bear.
She put the tack on the fence and walked in to it but she had the bag tied up tight so he wouldn't get into it "come on boy, lets put some tack on you" she said and picked up the saddle and opened her bag and got a handful of oats and put them near his muzzle while she placed it on his back "good boy" she said and started to adjust it.

Paddy flinched as a black saddle, went on his back. He munched on the oats that had been pressed againsed his small muzzle. Thje oats were good. He could get used to this. But he was a little confused at why she had put something on his back, that stank of dead cow. He snorted, and shook himself, to try and get the saddle off.
Paddy had seen horses being ridden before, but he never thought any thing like that would happen to him. After all, he had been born a wild horse, in a Neutral herd. He hadn't yet started to lean to the light side, or the dark side, when he had been taken. The fight he put up was extreme, but as a foal of only four months the odds were againsed him. He had been very lucky not to have gone to the meat man. Even now, he could feel the wild call him, but he was happy to stay here for now. He had seen horses catch wild horses, and pehaps that would be good enough for him.

Jessie saw him flitch bt soon relaxed him as she stroked his neck and then the saddle was tightened "thats better" she said and got some more oats out of the bag and grabbed the bridle "this is a bridle Bear, I will not hurt you" she said and slowly started to slip it on to his head while constantly feeding him oats and then at last it was on "that was easy but now for the tricky part" she said and smiled a little.
Jessie adjusted the stirrups on the saddle and then put her foot in one "its ok boy" she said and slowly ssprung onto his back and patted him "your a bit small" she said but then adjusted her weight a little to make him go into a slow trot "come on boy" she said and tapped him lightly with her heels just to make him start going.

Paddy risted as she tried to slip a metal bar into his moth. He tried to nip her, but as he opend his mouth to do so, the bar slid into his mouth, and some straps that smelled of dead cow went over his head. He blew out as she tightend the strap around his underside, trying to stop her from doing so, but he soon have up.
Paddy was a bit confused as the girl got on his back, He scraped his foot along the ground, as if a bit annoyed. He snorted ad her, and turned his head round to push againsed he pockets, for something to eat, but as she was on his back, he couldn't reach to steal the sweet sugar that was in her pocket. He took a step forward as she kicked his sides. He tried to show that we was irritated, bye going faster, but that didn't seem to work, so he did a small buck, to try and unseat her.

Jessie sighed, she was used to bad ponies so she squeezed her thighs to spot her falling off. She patted the horse and took out a sugar cube from her pocket and stood up in the stirrups and leaning toward his head, holding the cube flat in her hand. She felt his lips brush against her hand and she pulled it back and sat back down. She tapped on his sides again to hopefully make him walk.
She knew that if he started to walk that she would turn him toward the jumps she had set up earlier. There was a cross-bar, a waterjump, a turned over barrel and another cross-bar. She wondered how he would react to any jumps but as they were quite low she hoped he would be nice and go smoothly over them but she knew ponies were stubborn so she wasn't too hopeful.
