Roxy gave and energetic smile and had to restrain herself, to keep from bouncing all the way to the training corral. With one hand she reached down and smoothed her red t-shirt and the brushed off the front of the right leg of her blue jeans. Her gaze lingered on her new mahogany colored boots and then switched to look back up at the corral. In just minutes her new horse would be arriving. She could hardly wait. Another large grin tugged at the corners of her mouth and she didn't even try to suppress it. With her right have she took of her stetson and brought her left hand up to smooth her dark coffee colored hair. Her brown eyes danced happily and she had to keep from glancing at her watch again. They would be here soon. She just needed to relax a little.
A soft sigh came from her mouth and she pulled the front of the t-shirt back and forth to create a breeze. Yes, it was winter. But it was somehow not colt today. In fact, it was downright hot. She rolled her eyes in an annoyed way and shifted her weight to rest on her other leg. The toe of her boot tapped the ground without her making it. She was being unusually impatient today, though she was impatient often. The one thing that she wasn't impatient with, horses. Her eye lids shut and she saw the mental image of the horse she had bought. True he had his faults, mainly that he wanted to be boss, but she already loved him. His cremello coat and stocky lusitano frame made him stand out fairly easily. He was a stallion, and Roxy had no intention of gelding him. Despite the fact that some horses settled down more after they were gelded.
Her eyes snapped open at the sound of a automobile engine. She bit her bottom lip and strained her eyes to try and see if her ears weren't playing tricks on her. The place she had bought him from was dropping him off at the corral. Finally her gaze settled on a white truck and white horse trailed barreling towards the training area. Her familiar grin came back to her face and she was practically jumping up and down with her excitement. Finally after a few minutes, which seemed like hours, the truck stopped about ten feet from where she stood. Confidently she walked up to the trailer, said a brief hello to the driver, and then opened up the door. Smiling as she spotted the stallion. "You're a pretty boy, aren't you?" She murmured to him softly.

Tango stood, shifting his weight back and forth from each foot. A small window was in front of him in the small container they called a trailer. Eyes lazily flicked back and forth as scenery barreled past him. He was growing impatient with this. He had been here for at least two hours and couldn't wait to get out.
Cremello pelt shone brightly after the brushing the fearful grooms had given him. Light filtered in and speckled the trailer, catching itself on dust and anything floating around. Dagger lifted slightly and slammed down. Oops, better not do that again. The trailer rattled slightly, causing the stallion to stagger.
After an eternity, the trailer bumped and wobbled as they slowed down, passing over potholes. A sigh was emitted, and then a high-pitched whinny as the door banged down and blinding light greeted him. Blinking rapidly, a girl formed in the light. She wore red and blue, contrasting greatly.
Eyes narrowed, Tango stamped his foot again now that they had stopped moving. Nares took in the unfamiliar scent and he pulled at his tie, trying to get out and look around. A irritated nicker was released, followed by a glare towards the lady.

Roxy's gentle tone didn't seem to go over well for the stallion. He seemed to be annoyed by the long trip. His restless shifting and stamping easily told that he was becoming impatient with this whole trip. Though the stallion was getting upset, it didn't dim her smile. Her own horse! Her first horse on her ranch. She was practically bouncing with her excitement. Of course, she wouldn't really bounce, it might spook the cremello horse. She grinned easily at his high pitched whinny that greeted her ears immediately as she opened the trailer door. She had received the stallion because he was supposed to have behavior problems. She didn't believe that was true. She strongly felt that this horse could be trained, and he would be a wonderful horse once he was.
She shook her head a little bit as he gave a annoyed nicker and glared at her. Well he certainly wasn't happy to see her. Not that she had expected him to be. Oh well, Roxy lightly shrugged her shoulders and kept her attention focused on the stallion. Her smile still firmly on her face. She wouldn't let his attitude dampen her mood. "Hey Buddy, long ride, huh?" She crooned softly to him, trying to peak his curiosity in who this stranger was. She watched as a petrified groom came out and took the stallion's lead rope, leading him down the ramp as soon as Roxy walked down. The sun hit the cremello's pelt and seemed to make him glow. "Thanks" She spoke to the kid, he was probably only a little bit younger than her, eighteen maybe. Easily she took the rope and held it firmly with both hands, one under his chin and the other farther down. If the horse chose to rear she would be the anchor, hopefully keeping him on the ground.

Creme coat was shiny from a good brush by frightened grooms, but the stallion would change that as soon as he was in the stall. He nodded is crown, as if in agreement to the girl's question. A smile was plastered to the girls face, and Tango grimaced at her as a stiff groom grabbed his lead rope and almost ran down the ramp with him. He trotted in circles when the groom stopped at the bottom.
The lady took the rope that dangled from the thing people put on his face. She grasped it tightly and a invisible smirk appeared on his veneer. Fore-pistons lifted from the gravel slightly, only to find that he was pulled back down. This lady was not the type that would let go and run away screaming if he reared. He snorted.
Tango's azure eyes searched her face and then he suddenly tried to pull away, head held high so she couldn't catch it easily. He pranced in circles around her, head held high and pulling tight on the rope.

Roxanne
The stallion didn't seem to be to happy with her grip on the rope that connected to his head. Though she didn't pay him much mind. She kept her thoughts focused on what was ahead and trying to keep him calm. The last thing she wanted was an unscheduled rodeo. She didn't let her group lessen even though he hadn't acted out yet. He would, she was almost sure of it. The grooms obviously had a reason to fear him, though she wasn't going to let this stallion think that he scared her. Truthfully, she already loved him, there wasn't even a hint of fear in her body. Soft words came from her mouth and she continued murmuring to him softly. Comforting him sort of like a mother would do to a foal. Horses could go many ways when you used this tactic. She just hoped it wasn't a bad way.
Roxy easily felt him shift his way to his haunches and her grip tightened, his forelegs didn't get far until her grip pulled him back down. She wasn't particularly strong, it's just her hands were in the right places. The snort that came from the cremello's nares didn't sound like rage. However she did know he was very unhappy at this new discovery, and limit of his power. She felt him pull away and let her grip loosen, a long whip was in one of her hands and she held it at the ready. Not to whip him, to drive him onward, keeping him moving. She watched him prance around her but her face didn't show anger or confusion, not even happiness. It remained carefully blank. Easily she flicked the whip near him but didn't touch him. Hoping to drive him faster, trying to make him moved forward, making sure to keep him away from her. It was a basic thing most people used. They just normally didn't use a lead rope, they used a lounge line.

He snorted softly, moving into a faster trot as a vine attached to a stick followed him. He lifted trotted with his head down now so he could pull harder on the role attached to the 'thing' on his head. She murmured words to the stallion's ears, and his harks pricked forward. 'What's she trying to say?' he thought quizzically. He stopped and cocked his head, looking at her and wondering.
Azure eyes glinted mischievously, but Tango didn't do anything, only sidling back slightly. He stretched out his velvety muzzle towards her, trying to catch what she said. It showed that he was intelligent, just difficult. His brow rumpled and he gave up, tossing his head up and down. The grooms still watched him from the trailer, having not been dismissed yet. They flanked Tango, leaving him nowhere to run if he decided to pull with all his might.
A sigh was released from his maw, but not a relaxed one. It was showing that he could not get away, he couldn't even look around. He held his head high and stomped the ground with one fore-hoof.

Roxanne
She smiled as he moved faster and seemed intent on trying to listen to what she was saying. Though, she was really just rambling. It had no apparent point. Besides, horses couldn't understand the exact words that you speak. That's why you have to learn body language. "Come on Tango" She spoke, in a clearer, stronger voice. She moved the whip so that it lightly touched his flank, though she didn't put any pressure on it. In a split second she removed it. All she had been doing was getting him to go faster.
With and embarrassed grin she realized that the grooms were still there. She didn't bother to look at them, but she turned her head towards them and nodded "You can go" She heard the truck start up and a cloud of dust came toward her and Tango as they drove away. Her gaze was still on Tango, and had not moved from him since the groom had brought him out of the horse trailer.
When the horse sighed she continued to make him keep going. The leader of the herd chose when the herd members stopped running. She had to get that point across, Tango himself did not choose what he got to do and when he did it. Only if she was in the pasture did he get that privilege. This was a training session, he worked. The whip trailed his white colored body, and she made sure to keep it a distance behind him.

Cremello stallion snorted loudly as dust flew into the air. He bobbed his head until the dust cleared and noticed the stick again. It was coming towards his flank, and with one quick movement, flicked him. It didn't hurt him, just annoyed him.
Daggers broke into a slow canter, lagging along. He glanced behind him and noticed the stick following him at an even pace. Hooves went into a high stepping rhythm, nape arched as he stretched out after the long wait. He watched the woman out of the corner of his eye, waiting for her to stop trailing him with the stick.
He broke into a canter but had to slow because the circle was to small. He was on a short rope, so could only go for a trot, and not faster. He slowed to a walk and moved stubbornly, not wanting to be chased. Dagger stomped the dusty ground as he bobbed his head and snorted loudly at the lady, still walking.
<<No muse. xD Sorry.>>
