Alexis sat deep in her all purpose saddle. Her calves were pressed gently on the sides of Hollister, urging him to keep a working trot. He obeyed wonderfully, his neck arched and his head tucked up. His strides were long and graceful as he carried Alexis through the forest. The ground was finally dry after weeks of rain and melting snow. The weather was nice too, not to warm and not to cold. Alexis could comfortably wear a long sleeved t-shirt again. It felt great to feel the sun on her skin again. Winter was much to long.
Alexis bent down and gave Hollister a pat. Wanna run boy? The stallion bobbed his head eagerly, and Alexis chuckled and straightened herself up. Hollister danced, excited to move a bit faster. Alexis gathered her reins before urging Hollister into a smooth gallop.
They seemed to thunder down the trail forever, totally consumed by the wing whipping their face and their hair blowing out behind them. Alexis was ripped from her state as she spotted a fallen log further down the trail. She smiled and slowed Hollister only slightly into a working canter. Hollister perked his ears and approached the log with no hesitation, soaring over with 2 feet to spare.
They landed clean on the other side, and Alexis slowed Hollister to a walk. She bent down again to give him a pat, before pulling him to a halt. She then swung her leg over his back and hopped off. She loosened his girth and tied his reins in a safety release knot on a tree branch. Alexis then sat down on the ground next to the tree and smiled, looking up at Hollister.
Your such a good boy. You take a rest and grass a bit. We'll head back later.

Two pairs of eyes went through the forest. One, almost black, the other, a steely blue-grey-green. They were the eyes of a stallion, and a human. The human had black hair, a pale face, black eyeliner, and chains hanging from his belt. He wore no safety helmet on his head. The hose was black, big and strong. The colour of his pelt was almost blue, and it shone in the sun. Together, they made the perfect combination. The nightmare horse, and the nightmare boy.
Jimmy rode casually down the trail. Since he had found the black stallion at an auction, he had become even more isolated. He was no horse man, but the horse he rode understood him. People called him mad to get on the beast, but he didn't care. Just because he was the only one who could control him. The horse never played up for him, but every other person who had gotten on to his ebony back, had fallen off a minimum of three times, if they were to get back on again. Ahead, Jimmy could see two shapes. One a girl, the other, a white horse.
Slash gave large steps, his warm blood lines showing his natural dressage ability. The rider on his back was the first one he could ever understand, and vice versa. Something caught the stallions eye. A white stallion, and a human. He pinned his ears back, so they were flat against his ebony crown. He arched his neck, and started to dance. He broke into a trot, his tail high, ears back, nose in. He knew his master wouldn't mind, as he could feel the calves tighten. He stopped a few feet away from the other two, snorting, an baring his white teeth.

At the scent of another horse, Hollister turned his head and gazed down the path. As he spotted the jet black horse and his rider he let out a shrill whinny. As the pair approached, his ears were perked in kind interest. Then the other stallion bared his teeth and flattened his ears. Hollister pulled his head back slightly, not sure of what to do. He looked to Alexis, who was studying the stallion and rider.
Alexis scanned the horse and rider. They were not exactly a pair you'd see every day, but Alexis wasn't someone to judge. Still, she took a step in front of her horse, standing in between the two stallions. She would never allow any harm to come to Hollister. He was her pride and joy, and really one of the only reasons for her existence. He was after all her best friend.
Alexis cleared her throat and called out to the other rider. Hello, I'm Alexis Ryder, nice to meet you. Alexis said politely.

Jimmy watched as the other stallion drew back at Slash's aggression. His stallion never socialised with other horses, unless it was a mare in heat. The girl then stood up, and blocked the way between the two horses, to stop conflict. "I am Jimmy, and this is Slash" he said. It would have sounded somewhat cold if you didn't know Jimmy, but it was his way, of being polite...sort of. He tugged on the loose reighn, to stop Slash from sending aggressive, and challenging messages to the other stallion. The horse stopped at once, and stood still, ears still pinned back.
Slash sent a low nicker, challenging the white stallion, but then ceased, when his master tugged at the bit. He still eyes the stallion, waiting for his master to give the go ahead to attack the stallion. He was tense, and in the mood to fight. But the girl standing in front of him, stopped him from reaching out and biting the other horse. He stood, impatiently, resisting the urge to strike out.

Alexis nodded at his reply, not urging for any more information. She wouldn't offer to much information to him, and she didn't expect him to offer anymore then herself.
Alexis stroked Hollister's muzzle, calming him down. Hollister was not a fighter, he was a very quiet laid back stallion, and she didn't want him to feel nervous because the other stallion seemed tense and in a fighting mood. This is Hollister. She smiled as she nodded towards the white Hanoverian.
Alexis took a step away from Hollister and towards Slash and Jimmy. Hollister nudged her back in protest, but after a quick stroke, he calmed back down. Is he okay? He seems sort of tense, or is he always like this? Alexis asked out of general curiosity and nothing else. She loved horses, so she liked to talk about them.
