Ava McRae
Flashy. Darling, it's the one word that perfectly describes her. What? You ask who I'm talking about, come on boy, if you had seen her, you'd remember her. Ava McRae. The all out pink girl, doesn't care what others think, and will stick up for herself. Yeah, she likes horses, but love's to strong a word for a human to animal relationship. With a perfect smile tilting her heavily glossed lips upward, she walked into the restaurant. A light pink shirt fit snugly around her thin torso, and black jeans fit around her slim and muscular legs. Ava, was the whole package. Blonde hair that went to her mid back and long eyelashes that were almost always coated with mascara, dark chocolate brown eyes stand out on her elegant tanned face. With some miracle, she manages to keep her nails long and coated with nail polish. If you can't tell, she's a city gal. And now you're wondering, what's she doing in this little country town. Perhaps I could tell you she has family here, and it would be the truth. Though she is nothing like her sister, Roxy.
With heels clicking she walked up to the teenage kid standing behind the podium like thing, seating people in the restaurant. With a smile on her face she got a table near the nicer area of the entire restaurant. One leg crossed over the other, and her foot jiggled slightly as she waited for her food to come. She had already ordered, when she was in the front. With a quick movement she put her purse on the table and sat up straight. Her dark brown eyes scanning the room for some 'fun'. Really, what was the fun of going to a restaurant, alone? No, Ava did not think she would be alone the entire evening.

The white Ford F-350 pulled into the resteraunt parking lot with screeching tires. The driver quickly opened the heavy door and almost hopped out of the truck. His cowboy boots sent up a whirl of dust around his face as they hit the soft dirt. The boy was clad in jeans and a button down white shirt that made his already tan body look extremely dark. He straightened his expensive cowboy hat and loosened his belt a hole. His flashy silver and gold belt buckle glinted in the sun as he adjusted it. The 6 ft. 2. man slowly made his way to the front doors.
A young kid about 16 took him to a table kinda of near the back of the resteraunt. He sat down calmly and removed his hat. His shaggy brown hair sat wildly in all directions. His deep blue eyes scanned the resteraunt as he waited for a waitress to come. This was your typical cowboy. Tan skin, dark hair, muscular body...he had it all. To make things better, he was rich. I'm talking loaded...not that he really liked to flaunt it unless it was to get a girl.
The cowboy's gorgeous eyes almost immediately fell upon a girl a few tables away. Her long blonde hair and dark, chocolatey eyes were absolutely stunning. He took a sip of the water a waitress had placed before him, never taking his eyes away from the girl. He raised his eyebrows at her curiously, hoping to catch her eye. He needed some company tonight...and she seemed like the perfect person.
Cocky for sure, he stood casually and made his way towards her table. Once there, he coughed and spoke smoothly. "Terribly sorry..do I know you? You look really familiar..." His smile revealed pearly white teeth that made him look even more handsome. His eyes danced as he ran a hand through his wavy hair, waiting for her response.

Ava McRae
Manicured nails tapped the table top as she sat alone at the restaurant table. Despite the lonesome factor, she was perfectly happy, the small smile still tilting the corners of her mouth upward. Reaching up with one hand she tucked a strand of her golden hair behind her ear. She hadn't been sitting here long, five minutes perhaps, still, waiting was not one of her favorite past times. With slow breaths she calmed herself and her brown eyes continued to scan the room. It was fairly empty, and those that were there, were there with some else. Which made finding a guy kind of harder. That didn't dampen her mood any. It was just a matter of time, and waiting of course. She could do that, it was easy, just extremely boring. Her brown eyes slid upward as she heard someone enter the restaurant. It was easy to tell, the little bells went off overhead and allowed anyone interested, to find out who it was. Her gaze immediately landed on a cowboy as he stepped forward and was led to a table by the same kid that had shown her a table.
In a matter of seconds she deduced that he was alone, hot, and looking at her. Now, this was more like it. She allowed him to catch her eye and gave him a dazzling smile, showing her perfect pearly white teeth. Though she allowed him to know that she had seen him, she didn't make a move towards him. For some reason, the guy always relished the opportunity to approach the girl, so she waited again. This time, she knew for sure she wouldn't be waiting for very long. With a sly smirk on her face she saw him stand and make his way towards her, when he was standing by her table and spoke, she realize that this was as easy for him, as it was for her. Good, she needed someone like that to hang out with. "I don't think we've met, but darling, I think I've seen you on T.V." She smiled as she tilted her head upwards to see him. "My name's Ava, yours?"

The boy chuckled softly to himself as he caught the beautiful girl's eyes. He knew girls had a hard time resisting him. He didn't like to flaunt his money, but he never said anything about his devilish good looks. He looked like he had just stepped out of a modeling magazine, but in reality he had just got back from working with his horses. He was hungry and decided to just throw on some clean clothes and spray on some Cinch cologne. He looked and smelled great, and now he was with a nice looking girl. It didn't get better than that.
He noticed right away that the girl wasn't what you call shy. She didn't seem nervous like some girls did when they met him. Good. It got utterly annoying when they couldn't even look him in the eye. He would much rather spend his time with someone more confident.
He smiled at her words about him being on T.V. "I'll take that as a compliment. You're not too shabby yourself." He flashed a smile before nodding. "Pleasure to meet you, Ava. The name's Hunter Slater. Slater for short. Why's a pretty girl like you all alone?" His eyes scanned the room quickly, searching for anyone that might be here to accompany Ava. The only other people he really saw were already with someone.

Ava McRae
She rolled her eyes as he spoke. "I'll try and take that as a compliment, what have you seen better?" She asked with a smirk on her lips. Not to shabby? Did guys just say that to get the reaction? Or were they literally blind? At least when you're referencing the word about Ava. Her head stayed at a slight angle so she was able to see him clearly, and look him straight in the eye. Come on, why beat around the bush with all this small talk? Did some people think it was just fabulously fun? Ah well, she supposed she could deal with it. After all, it is the only way you can get to know someone. Besides, if she had to get stuck in a small horse town, she might as well know some cute guys. The only source of fun, well besides freaking her sister out. Maybe, Roxy even had a boyfriend by now, though, she highly doubted that. Roxy was just to, oh what was the word, tomboy-ish? She was a year older than Ava, and yet, had never been on a date in her life, where as Ava, had been on multitudes of them.
"Hunter Slater, awesome name" She responded with a smirk still evidently on her lips. At his question she waved her hand around the room, though it was a gesture to include the entire town. "Just rode in" And when she said that, she meant it, to be exact, she rode in on a motorcycle. So if you think a make-up, high fashion, girl can't own a motorcycle, you're dead wrong. "Haven't exactly met any guys worth my time." A sly smile was on her lips as she said the words in a flirty way.

Slater rolled his eyes right back at her and chuckled. "You'd be suprised...I happen to think cowgirls are hot." The smirk on his face was evident as he stared at her. He loved to tease girls. They were so easy to get to. Just say one thing about there looks and you have them.
Slater laughed and pulled out a chair opposite of Ava. He sat down lightly, never breaking eye contact with her. A slight smile remained on his face as he spoke, "I tend to get that often. That's what I get for having a hick dad." He laughed and shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever works, right?' Slater nodded thoughtfully and replied casually, "So...you have horses?" He had yet to meet anyone here who didn't have horses, but you could never tell. Something about Ava made him think she wasn't into horses. Maybe it was the manicured nails...not to judge.
Slater leaned back in his chair as he listened to Ava speak. He liked the way she fought back at his comments. She wasn't a sissy in that sense. She could stick up for herself. He liked that in a girl. Slater laughed and his eyes twinkled as he said, "Well your lucks about to change."

Ava McRae
"Darlin, if you're looking for cowgirls, go saddle up your horse." A smirk tilted up the corner of her mouth and her eyes shown in jest as she said the words. With her right hand she gestured at the chair across from her, telling him he could take a seat if he wanted. Her hand dropped and it rested on the table, fiddling slightly with the corner of her napkin, as she watched Slater from under her lowered eye lashes.
Her gaze followed his movements as he sat down, still looking her straight in the eyes. "Ah the curse of having to be related to someone like that. I have it to, my sister." She practically spat the word sister and made it sound like a horrible word as it came from her mouth. Roxy, she was always the start of her never ending problems. It was the reason she was in this stupid town anyway. Well, things were looking up. She glanced over at him, a sly smile on her perfectly glossed lips. Her lips moved farther up, into a full blow smile, flashing her perfectly straight, and pearly white teeth. "Not at the moment... I have yet to find one that suits my... tastes. And you, I assume that you, cowboy, have a horse?"
"Mhmm..." A mischievous twinkle lighted in her brown eyes. "And I suppose you mean to say, that you're the one that is changing my luck, right?" Her gaze focused solely on him, looking him directly in the eyes.

Slater ignored her first comment and eyed her curiously. "I take it you and your sister aren't close?" He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as his eyes penetrated hers. "Me and my brother were never close either...he was into cars and I was into bulls and horses..." Slater and his 26 year old brother, Dakota grew up close, but then when they started finding their careers they split paths. Dakota chose the fast lane and Slater chose the rough life. Yet, he wouldn't trade it for anything.
Slater couldn't help but notice her smile and the way her eyes lit up when she spoke. "Hope you don't mind me saying, but you the most gorgeous smile." The corners of his mouth turned up in a half smile and his eyes danced flirtaciously. He thought about his next words for a minute. Should he just tell her that he had horses? Ya...he might as well get the truth out there.
"Yep. As a matter of fact I have 2. A black Quarter Horse named Trigger and a black Hanoverian named Wolf. So what exactly is your 'taste', doll?" His words were bold, he knew that. But thats also how he got more than half his dates through highschool. Well, that and his handsome looks.
"Well, Ava, that is a matter of opinion. I would say any girl would be lucky to have me, but you might think otherwise." His eyes twinkled playfully and he leaned backwards in the chair, next breaking eye contact with her.
