The mare jogged through the desert. Her legs powered the small body and then her slow gait finally made it to the borders. Her nares quivered as the smell of the stallion hit, she sniffed more but no mare came. Her eyes twinkled and then she strode forward into the land and she saw the lake. She walked slowly toward it and put her head into the cool water. She had been in the desert for weeks, food was scarce and she was dehydrated. The water helped so much, she drunk happily and then lifted her head and nodded "this land would be perfect" she whispered and tossed her mane. A predator stalked the desert and she pricked her ears it slowly padded across and toward her.
Saturnina was her name and she flung round quickly facing what she could see now was a mountain lion. It bared its sharp teeth and she snorted. It was now the dance had started. She stepped forward and it stepped back, she stepped sideways and it stepped sideways. They moved in unison until it sprung. It landed on her back and she neighed loudly as the claws dug into her pelt. She then slowly lied down and shook her back, making it cling on more. The pain soared down her back as it bit her, the teeth sinking into flesh. She then rolled. Her weight pushed onto the creature and it was squashed, killed. Saturnina slowly got up and saw her gash, it wasn't that deep so she just walked into the water and dipped the cut in.
Her eyes looked around again, seeing if there was any more beasts but all was calm so she dipped her head in the water and drunk. The stallion would of heard her neigh and she hoped he would be happy she saved them from the predator. He could of done it but she was there before, he wouldn't be hurt. Saturnina cantered out of the water and it sprayed everywhere but she just laughed and nibbled at a small shrub. Her tail flicked away the flies and she looked up at the sky.

Clandestine......
My injuries have almost healed, but were still slightly sore and tender. The bitemarks at the base of my neck had healed up a while ago, but the hoof-print marks on my shoulder and rump were still sore and tender, despite having weeks to heal up. I didn't worry much about them, because I knew they'd heal up properly in time, although it did hurt sometimes when I'd get up off the ground. Other than that, they didn't bother me.
I haven't seen Embezzlement in weeks, and I figured he was patrolling the the lands or he was doing something else. I took up the job of patrolling the borders for now, giving Bezzle the time to do what he wanted to; claim mares, hatch plans or whatever it was he does. Truth be told, I didn't mind patrolling for him, because it gave me something to do. Previously, I used to guard the prisoner, a mare by the name of Kamenwati, but when she escaped, I had no prisoner to guard. So, I took up the job of patrolling the borders and checking to see if there were any tresspassers. Thankfully, I hadn't see any. That was until today.
Upon hearing the loud neigh, I halted in my tracks, my eyes narrowed and ears sprung forward, listening in and trying to track which direction it came from. The roar of a predator sounded across the terrain, and I took off at a canter towards the sound, slowly easing into a gallop. Because I took long strides, it was only a matter of minutes before I came upon the scene. I skidded to a halt, and my icy blue eyes darted to the carcass of a dead Mountain Lion and the pool of blood around it.
I lifted my head some and looked around, and pretty soon my eyes were drawn to the form of a mare standing in the water, drinking. My tail swished harshly at my sides and I gave a harsh snort to alert her of my presence, and I tucked my head somewhat close to my neck and slowly walked towards her, my form somewhat protective. I stopped a few metres from the mare, who was now busy nibbling away on a shrub, and raised my neck, my icy blue gaze boring into her frame. Again, my tail swished harshly at my flanks and I snorted harshly. "Who are you and what business do you have here?" I asked, anger somewhat lacing my voice. I was Embezzlement's Royal Guard, and I had a job to protect him from tresspassers, so I have a right to know what business this mare had in these lands.
OOC...... I hope you don't mind that I had Ande join you. ;] If this was made for Bezzle only, then I can edit my post x3

Saturnina heard the hooves and her ears pricked before turning her head as the horses voice came. "I am Saturnina, daughter of Eclipse and Neptune" came her sweet but evil vocals and she looked at the mare "and I am here to make the leads herd bigger". She was small, a pony, but she wasn't scared of the huge mare. She turned toward the mare, she wouldn't attack the leads herd member just yet, and lowered her head to show she wouldn't attack and kept it there but she looked up. "You are a member of this herd and I respect that fully, so what are you cursed?" she said looking into her big, bold eyes.
The mare was large compared to her, she must be a great guard as her size is threatening. Saturn had yet to meet the great stallion and she waited patiently as he was the lead. He would need a lead mare though, to produce his sons which would make the scent marks stronger with adult sons about. This land could become amazing, foals trotting around the lake and her and the lead together. They would watch the masterpiece bloom. Her eyes then danced around the land, spotting every little crack and crevice before looking up at the kings area and then down at his guard. She was suprised he hadn't used her for foals yet. She studied her body, almost healed wounds covered it and Saturn smiled "been in a few battles I see" she said. Winning this mare over would be quite hard but she would manage it, she got everything she wanted.
(bit short, muse died )

Clandestine......
I stood still in a somewhat protective stance, snarl still in place, eyes narrowed, and tail flicking harshly at my sides every now and then. I watched with narrowed icy blue eyes as the intruder turned to face me. 'I am Saturnina, daughter of Eclipse and Neptune." At the mentioning of her parents, a harsh snort exited my nares and my ears pinned back as far as they could go, before relaxing some after a moment. "And I am here to make the lead's herd bigger." I raised my head some as the mare turned to face me fully, and I stared down at her, snarl gone from my face but my eyes were still narrowed, showing I was not happy in the least. As the mare lowered her head in a possible sign of submitting for the moment, I raised one massive leg and pawed harshly at the sand, sending it skittering in every direction. My tail swung harshly at my sides again and a snort exited my nares. "You are a member of this herd and I respect that fully, so what are you cursed?" As she looked up into my eyes, they narrowed more and the snarl returned.
I stared the mare down for a moment, ears swivelling to try and catch any sounds of Embezzlement approaching, before pinning back against my skull again. Yet another harsh snort exite my nares as I stared this mare down. "Ande, is all you'll ever need to know." That was not my name, rather a nickname, but this mare didn't need to know that. There was no way I'd share my proper name with this mare until she earned my full respect, something which was hard to do. When the mare drew her eyes away from me to look around at the terrain, my eyes were kept trained on her form. As she turned back to look at me, my head raised from it's somewhat relaxed position, and I looked down at her again, eyes still narrowed and snarl still in place, although somewhat more relaxed then before. As she smiled at me, I resisted the urge to snap at the air infront of her. "Been in a few battles I see." My tail swung harshly at my sides, and I swung my body slowly in place, somewhat stretching my legs, in you will, before halting in my place and speaking. "You could say that." My ears pinned back to my skull again, and without warning, I released a loud, deep bellow for Embezzlement, calling him to us. He was to deal with this mare, but I was going to stay close to him, guarding him should the mare try to attack him for whatever reason. If tat should happen, which was unlikely, I would be pissed. And a pissed Clydesdale is never a good thing.

The stallion wandered the lands, searching for some reason to stay. Ruling had lost it's freshness, ambition had faded to a dull aching for more that seemed to take every creature. A dark knot had formed on his heart, consuming whatever semblance of feeling he had been intertwined with previously. Even his hatred had been dulled to this new, all-consuming calm. A calm that swallowed all else, that assured him that he could have whatever he wanted if he was patient enough to wait for it. And with it came plans. He must find a queen, find mares with whom to breed. For who better to serve beside him than his own son? His desire for an heir was greater than ever, for a colt whom he could pass his knowledge to. Technically, he already had progeny. Somewhere out there roamed the foal that he had fathered to the mate of his greatest enemy. He knew nothing about that foal, not if it was a colt or a filly, if it had been abandoned or kept. Nor did he care. His herd was his only concern, their safety. He was not a cruel leader, only a cruel enemy. For to breed contempt among his own would only make him hated.
Now he had returned to the heart of his land, to the singular oasis that made it habitable and made sure that there was always water to be dug out below the sand. He loved the desert, he was born for it. He hoofsteps were covered instantly, and as silent as an owl's flight. On the lowlands, scent was scattered by warring winds. He was invisible, untraceable. It was hard to find anybody out in this expanse unless you knew it well. And if anyone did, it was Embezzlement. Now he moved at a long lope, easy and ground-covering. He stretched out low across the ground, moving almost deceptively fast and silent at the same time. he was light enough that he did not create large clouds of dust, but rather was unseen until he came into the range of vision. A noise had reached his ears, a calling of his name. A scream had come sometime before, but that was not one of his herd. He did not bother with such horses who wandered and were destroyed by predators. Any horse of use to him would not get caught by one of those.
His eyes narrowed as he slowed to a trot, surveying the scene. His royal guard and another mare, one he did not know. His gait was almost cautious, but his head and tail were held in a royal fashion as he approached, coming to them. His gaze was fixed on the other mare, he afforded Clandestine a good bit of trust. She had proved to be a most worthwhile steal, a mare who had a good head and could be good in a fight if it came to that. She seemed content to fulfill her duties as a guard, and more. He had caught her scent at the borders lately, and was grateful for it. "I am here, Ande. What is the problem?" he said, studying the other mare silently. Smaller than him, but he did not care. He had proved that the small were not always outclassed by the large. Although it did help to be bigger, he supposed. "And who are you?" he asked. he did not introduce himself, for his position was obvious, and his name did not matter.
