Joe Clippity, clop. Clippity clop. Hoove beats moved and sounded in rythym. Joe was not sitting in his sattle. He was in some kind of squatting position as he gained momentum. He had gained entrance into some sort of major wrangling club and he was on his way to the camp. He leaned forward like a racer, as his larger shire looking horse pounded the earth like dough. Joe slowed his horse as he arrived in the camp. He dismounted. Joe looked around under his hat. Nobody. He kicked the earth and looked over to his horse. Tres was pawing the earth, but being strangly calm. Joe walked over to him, nickering like a horse and petted his mane. Good boy.
Joe hopped aboard his horse. He kicked him a couple times to get him going. Tres took off and ran out towards a good grazing area. Joe stopped him and let him graze, eyes open. If he saw a horse, he wouldn't let it slip away. Joe's hat flew off his head and he laughed.
Done! XD Force myself to do more later. -museless-

Maddison......
I honestly had no idea what I was going to do once my unborn baby was born, nor did I know where I was going to go or what I was going to do about supporting us both. It worried me. I didn't exactly want to live on the streets and steal just to feed us both, but if it's what I had to do, then I was going to do it. Forget about the consequences.
A soft sigh left my lips, and my right hand was placed on my swollen tummy, rubbing it lightly. I'm not really looking forward to the day I go into labor, mainly because I'll be alone, and after, I'll have nowhere to go. A homeless shelter, maybe, but that wasn't exactly a good place to raise a baby in, now was it? These past few weeks, I've been wandering around and spending what little money I had on food to feed myself and my unborn child. It was repetitive.
Today was a little different from all the other times. Today, I decided to go visit the Wrangler's Camp, to see some of the beautiful wild horses that they captured. But I'd make sure to stay well back, like I always did. It was something I did around all horses, mostly because I was afraid of getting trampled and losing my baby. The sound of thundering hoof-beats entered my ears, and I turned my head to the left, and my eyes landed on a cowboy riding his large Shire past, before stopping. "Good boy."
I stopped from my walking to watch him as he mounted his horse again and took off towards the good grazing pasture. My eyebrows were raised slightly, and I started to walk towards his direction, stopping once I was close enough to hear him, but far enough away nopt to bother him. With my hand still on my tummy, I looked out to where he was looking, though I kept an eye on him from the corner of my eye.
OOC...... Gah, I hope this is good enough for you! xD

Amethyst moved on her morgan horse. She stroked the tame horse's mane. The pretty thing was all she could think about. The 17 year old girl was wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans, brown and scuffed boots. She had light, fair skin, blonde hair, freckles, and beautiful blue eyes. She might of looked like on angel riding upon a horse. The horse was a plain brown morgan, but beautiful all the same. At least for Ammy.
She pulled her horse to a halt, and stared at the girl, and the boy. The boy was a little fair off, while the girl was nearly right in front of her. Amethyst looked a little older then her though. "Hey there. I'm Amethyst." Amethyst tipped her white cowgirl hat and slipped off her horse. At that moment, she realized the girl was pregnant. She couldn't tell how long though. Ammy hoped the girl hadn't noticed her glance to her stomach.
"Admiring that guy over there? I'm guessing he's new here." The teen stroked the horse as she talked. She whispered and cooed to her horse, trying to keep her quiet. Skye Dancer tossed her head and shook her mane. "Hush my pretty baby, shh. No need to be loud." The word 'baby' made her blush. She hoped the girl hadn't noticed that either.
Amethyst watched her horse intently. She needed Skye to learn to be quiet. After maybe a minute of nothing but stillness, she handed the horse a sugar cube. "She's learning to calm herself and be quiet. She has a loud personality." Amethyst shrugged and smiled. Her horse made her proud but... she could be annoying.
-------------------------
Amethyst, let me inspect the person. I wanted so bad to get away from my owners grip. I want to inspect the person. The pregnant person. That was rude, but I don't care. No one can here me anyway. Just let me blow through my lips! So I did. Hah. Beat that. Okay, that was dumb. But I'd do anything to go nuzzle her. She seems sad and confused. Why can't humans tell? Sometimes their so stupid.
It's really annoying that I'm tame. What's it like being free? Probably hard, and I like it here with Amethyst. I love her, but sometimes I get annoyed, but it's okay. I'll get over it. I just want to see the human, I'll get my chance. Maybe Amethyst will bring her home on me! Okay, that is a ridictulus idea. Hah hah.
---------------------
Amethyst patted the horse. She cringed as she arched her neck and neighed. "Hush pretty baby." She crooned and laughed. Did no one like their horses like Amethyst? She didn't care if she looked funny. This was her horse anyway, and no one could tell her otherwise.

Joe dismounted Tres and let him graze, untied. If he ran, he always came back. And he did. Tres! Fine. I ho-... Joe saw something from the corner of his eye. He took a step backward and turned around slowly, squinting in the sun. I saw a girl. Maybe a year ot two younger. She was pretty. But he relized something. Her stomach was... well she looked like she was pregnant, and the way she had her hand on her stomach, he was pretty sure she was. He didn't know what to do or say. So he just kinda waved. Joe whistled loudly and Tres came back. Good, Tres. He pulled out a suger lump and gave it to Tres. He nickered and started bucking for some reason. DOWN BOY! Hey quit! He calmed for a moment and went back to grazing.
No horses. Bad day, he guessed. He walked back and let Tres go about by himself. Joe turned to face the girl and finally said something, but not much before someone interuppted. Hey... I'm J- Joe turned a bit to face another girl. "She's learning to calm herself and be quiet. She has a loud personality." It was appearent they had been talking. Sorry to interuppt, but I'm Joe. You dun look like you're a wrangler. Came to admire the place? He asked, trying to start a conversation. Oh, hey Ammy. What you're horse needs, is a stay at my place. He said a a sort of teasing voice. So... you have youself a husband? Sorry, had to ask. He smiled sheepishly.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tres snort and bucked, running around in short freedom. He danced around until he saw another female horse. If you were human, he would have licked his hand and smoothed back his hair. He trotted over to the female and stoof beside her, nickering. He blew through his lips and danced some more. Heya.
So bad. Mwahaha.

Cold and snow had driven me from the harsh wild plains and into the warmth that seemed to linger close to this place. It smelled rancid, of humans and burnt flesh and other horses' long forgotten terror, but I had to feed. My ribs and my hip bones were clearly visible even through a thick winter pelt, and I was barely protected from the cold without any tallow on my bones. Every wind pressed a chill deep into my body, into my very soul, it seemed, so that I could barely continue. But here the snow was melted and the ground was lower, just a little bit warmer and sheltered from the wind. Here, in a place that had so many memories of sorrow, there was finally a little bit of peace for me. I grazed on the sparse, sour grass, no longer caring if I got the choicest bits or not, only caring that I could survive. My name, Satinka, means Sacred Dancer, but I hardly felt like dancing then, for it was a hard time and I was starving and freezing to death. One of these days I would just sleep and never wake. And that would be a mercy, finally, in this hard world.
Suddenly, a sound to my right made me shy, hard, and bolt off to the edge of the area, terrified. I could not help this, for it was my way, and it has caused many a trouble with other horses. The voices of equines and humans mingled in my ears, and suddenly a wind sent the bitter scent of leather tack and tame horses to my nostrils. Humans! Probably wranglers, too, those vicious brutes who came and took other horses away by force. I had never known a human to be kind, and when I heard those voices I trembled. But the scent of horses intrigued me. There was no fear-scent there, no terror at having a human on one's back, only the horse-scent and nothing else. I snorted, surprised, and, unable to contain my curiosity, walked slowly toward the noises. The humans were below me, beyond a dip in the land, and soon I could see them and their horses gathered around the strange human structures that I had been avoiding since I arrived here. I pricked my ears and looked down at the horses and riders, and one girl without a horse.
The big draft surprised me the most, for he seemed a forceful, giant beast who could do what he wanted. So why was he letting a human hack him around like some little foal, helpless and unable to flee. The other was a mare like myself, smaller, not nearly as strong as a big draft, and lightly built with strong muscles. How did such a beautiful, strong horse get in all that tack? why would they stand for it? I could scarcely contain my curiosity, but I knew that to call out to them would be to get myself in danger, if they hadn't noticed my already. I was far enough towards the edge of the hill for them to see, and my mostly white pelt didn't help a whole lot. But, somehow, I couldn't bring myself to look away from those horses and their humans, nor move to flee, even though their scents mingled scent chills up my spine. No, I was rooted to the spot, waiting for something to guide me to the future, like a poor, lost foal with no ability to think for itself.

Maddison......
I stood in the same place for a while, looking out into the distance to try and see any wild horses, slipping the odd glance at the guy. When I heard the sounds of hooves getting louder and closer to where I was, I turned slightly, heart racing and fearing the worst, only to set my eyes on a young girl, perhaps a year or so older than me, dismounting her horse. "Hey there. I'm Amethyst." And she tipped her white cowgirl hat in greeting. Taking a deep breath, I smile softly at her. "Hi. I'm Maddison."
I spared a glance over at her horse and smiled a little. "She's gorgeous." I was about to turn back around to look out at the scenery again, before the other girl spoke up. "Admiring that guy over there? I'm guessing he's new here." I could instantly feel my cheeks heating up in a blush, my heart racing, and I nodded somewhat softly, somewhat embarrassed at being caught admiring the guy, though it was normal for most teenage girls to do so.
I looked over to the girl's mare as she arched her neck and whinnied loudly, a little startled by the sudden loud noise, but I recovered shortly after. Because I had my attention on the girl and her mare, I failed to notice that the guy I was admiring before, had turned around and was now watching me, and I also failed to see that he waved.
I felt a yawn coming on, and as I yawned, my hands instintively reached up to rub my eyes, attempting to get rid of the tiredness as if that'd help. I looked up in time to see the other stroke her horse's neck softly, whispering something I couldn't quite hear. I watched as the horse stood still and quiet for a moment or so, before being rewarded with a sugar cube. "Hey... I'm J-" "She's learning to calm herself and be quiet. She has a loud personality." Upon hearing another voice, one belonging to a male, who was no doubt the guy I was admiring before, I turned around to look at him, face slightly heating up again. I turned my head slightly to try and avoid the blush being seen, but it probably was no use.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I'm Joe. You dun look like you're a wrangler. Came to admire the place?" Upon hearing the male speak, I turned to face him somewhat, the blush long gone from my face, and smiled softly, nodding slightly as I did so. "No, I'm not. I don't think I'd survive out here catching wild horses. Yeah. Something different for me, but I'm liking it so far." I smiled softly at him. "Oh, hey Ammy. What your horse needs, is a stay at my place." I heard him say in a somewhat teasin voice, and I couldn't help but smile a little. I let my gaze drift over to the girl's mare, admiring how quiet and beautiful she was, and I didn't realize that the guy was looking at me until he spoke. "So... you have yourself a husband? Sorry, I had to ask." Upon hearing this, I tensed and I felt my heart start to race, my eyes slightly wide. Hearing it brought back memories, somewhat old but still as new as ever for me, and I shut my eyes, and felt my hands clenching by my sides. After a while of nothing but that, I looked up somewhat sadly, a soft smile on my face. "N-not exactly...It-it's something I don't really want to talk about, if that's okay with you..." I wasn't going to hold it against him, though, because he didn't know and I wasn't the type of person to hold something against someone. Except him.

Obviously, Joe was making the poor girl tense. Amethyst narrowed her eyes at him. "Have mercy... Joe! It's rude to ask questions like that!" Ammy chuckled a bit, smiled at the girl. But she wondered deeply There weren't any ranches for sale, none had been bought. Where did the girl live? Mmmm, Ammy thought about this.
Amethyst struggled to hang onto her mare's halter, as she threw her head up high. "Quit it! What kind of mom will you be!?" As she struggled, she laughed so hard and felt a tear fall from her face. She wiped it away, and gently slapped her horse with her hat. "I think I'm going to go tie her up. She's a handful. She's usually not so excited."
Amethyst obviously knew her horse wanted to see the girl, but she didn't want to scare her. Still on her mind as she walked to a tree, she thought about where the girl must live. Ammy knew no one really came out here, for vacation. There wasn't much excitement. A homeless? Ammy sighed, and felt her heart crack. The poor thing.
As soon as she was near Maddison, she stood with her feet spread a few inches apart, and her hands shoved in her pockets. "You know... you could come stay at my ranch. I have a plenty big house, and only one horse and a puppy. Being...-" Amethyst didnt' know what to say, so she just did. "-pregnant and all. I don't think you should be alone."
Amethyst looked tall, the way she did this, even though she wasn't. She had a stubborn looking face. She'd done this to Joe a few times. He ought to know by now, her family was stubborn. And so was she. Ammy wasn't going to let this girl just walk off and live in a gutter. That made her stomach churn. That was just horrible.
Amethyst listened closely, and she turned her gaze to a horse standing... near she guessed. She didn't make any sudden movements, or try to get the horse. She grabbed a rope out of her pocket, and genly swung it over her shoulder. She then pressed her hand to Maddi's shoulder and squeezed, not too hard. "Look. You wanted to see I wild horse?" Her voice was soft. She gave look to Joe saying, 'If he allows me, I'm catching him.'
---------------------------
I watched the girl intently. I pricked my ears and stood motionless. But I was getting restless. I shifted my weight, and finally, bucked my head up and down. Trying... to get... Ammy... off... to... see... Maddison I couldn't get her master to let go, and ended up having to be put up. Great, how nice? Now I'm stuck against a tree, maybe someone had to go on. I bucked and pleaded. I was obviously annoyed.
I finally settled down and grazed. I pricked my ears and was alert. I knew if I really tried, I could break this old rope she used on me. But I won't for now, just to be a good mare and stay put. Maybe my owner will praise me for my good deeds. At that I raised my head and watched her. Her pocket still bulged with a few sugar cubes. How badly did I want to whinny for them? Bad. Worse. Beyond. But I stayed quiet for her.
I pricked my ears, and glanced over to what my master was looking at. The wild and rugged horse. Why did they stand to be wild? Being tamed was great. Having a huge pasture to run in, and lots of food. Walks and runs too! I whickered low, so low, only horses would probably be able to hear. I was in heat, and I hoped he wasn't in for me. My brown morgan body pressed to the tree and I looked.

"No, I'm not. I don't think I'd survive out here catching wild horses. Yeah. Something different for me, but I'm liking it so far." Joe grinned and nodded. Me to. It seems much differant from wherever I am from. Home town was a bit like it, but this place, hate to say it, is much prettier. Joe shifted and rubbed his steel toe boots in the dirt. His home town was more dust and dirt, and this place actually had some plants. He looked up for moment and looked at Ammy and her horse.
"N-not exactly...It-it's something I don't really want to talk about, if that's okay with you..." Joe looked at her for a moment. He never knew anyone who would get pregnant and not be married. He turned around to face Amythyst. Good Lord, you sound like my mother. Maybe I'll have to move out of your house too! He teased again. Sorry. I always ask the wrongest questions. Well... curiousity killed the cat. Joe muttered softly. He had a cat. Made him think of another joke. It haunts Mittens.
Just as he whistled for Tres, he spotted a horse. As soon as Tres galloped towards him, Joe didn't wait for him to stop. He leapt into the saddle and pulled his rope from a compartment in his saddle. He spurred Tres and galloped on. He stopped suddenly and was behind it. It was a mare, as it was kinda visible.... Joe was almost thrown off his horse when Tres started bucking for no apparent reason. Hey-hey-hey! He whispered, angrily. He quickly spun his rope in the air and threw it, atempting to catch it. Tres was making a big ruckess, and the last thing he wanted was for anyone to get hurt or the wild mare to take off.
-----------------------------
Tres was grazing peacefully when a shrill whistle broke his silence. He pricked his ears, then took off. Rider! Was something the matter? He hadn't even slowed for him when Joe leapt onto him. Tres stumbled, but obeyed. Ya could be somewhat more softer... of tell me when you're getting on. He guided him the direction he wanted and Tres was surprised to see another hooved creature like himself.
She was very pretty. He needed to show off. He started bucking and going wild, seeing if he could throw his rider off. Why? He wasn't even thinking. He figured it would sure strength and courage. Plus he was needing to get that engery out. Freedom never lasts... Tres sighed as Joe stopped him. But this horse was determined. He bucked and bucked and bucked.
Happy day! I have muse! -justdance-

My ears went back at the shrill whistle, and a took a single step backwards, away from the humans. I was surprised when the stallion galloped forward, seeming not to see me, as if he was willing and consigned to the work this human gave him. What was the purpose of that? Why would you give up freedom for the harsh hands of a human? Curiosity, the nature of growth, made a valiant effort to quell the fear that rose within me, and out of the corner of my eye I could see the other humans looking at me. But as soon as the gigantic draft began the ascent, fear conquered curiosity, and I took to my heels and shot away as fast as I could. But hunger had weakened me, and I could not run very far, only terror fueled my muscles. My pace was slow, choppy, uneven, and my flight was far from graceful, stumbling over my own weakened legs and sprawling so low that I could have toppled to my knees violently. But I was accustomed to having the ground beneath my hooves, and it stayed that way through my weak-kneed flight, which seemed to last forever even though I had scarcely gone twenty strides when I came finally to a halt, forelegs splayed to keep the ground below me, eyes wide and flashing white sclera.
The sudden cessation of pursuing hoofbeats behind me had caused me to stop, and now I stood with ears laid back and flesh a-tremble as the massive stallion began to buck and rear and generally make a show of things. This only served to scare me more and make me question my safety here. But where else could I go? I would surely die of starvation or from predators anywhere else. The smoke and man-scent here drove away all those clawed and fanged adversaries that chased my kind, and I knew not of another place where that could happen. I watched as the great stallion bucked for a long moment, hardly noticing what the human was doing. The edges of my vision seemed to have gone dark, and I became aware of a thin sheen of sweat across my trembling bodice. Fear turned my blood an icy cold, and again I was trapped by some unknown force and made to stand still and bear witness as the stallion arched his back and kicked his heels in a most terrible way.
Then, as suddenly as anything, something shot, like magic, from the human's hands, and again fear compelled me to run, shooting up and sideways and landing in an awkward, sprawled out lope as I made my wild escape from the snake that was flung at me. It struck across my rump, and I let out a high-pitched squeal of terror as it smacked about my quarters before falling to the ground. But I could not go far, and again I stopped, sides heaving, and stared in pure terror at the human and horse. My ears were pinned back so far that they nigh rested on my thin neck, and I was trembling all over with fear, paralyzed with it. I came to realize that I had no choice but to be at the mercy of these humans and their horses, for there was no way I could run far in my emaciated state. My knees were nearly knocking together as I stood, stared, and breathed hard, trying desperately to find the strength to flee, or fight, or... well, anything. But there was no strength left, only pure, icy, freezing terror that would lend the will to run and dodge.

Maddison......
I stood there quietly, tears threatening to spill from my eyes, but I forced myself not to cry. I didn't want them to see me cry. All was quiet, until I heard Amethyst speak up. "Have mercy... Joe! It's rude to ask questions like that!" When she chuckled lightly, I turned slightly to watch her, but remained quiet as I did so. "Good Lord, you sound like my mother. Maybe I'll have to move out of your house too!" I turned my attention to him when I heard him speaking to me. "Sorry. I always ask the wrongest questions. Well... curiousity killed the cat." I heard him mutter the last sentence softly. "It haunts Mittens."
My attention was still on him, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw Amethyst's mare throw her head up, and I turned slightly to watch Amethyst as she struggled to hold onto her halter. "Quit it! What kind of mom will you be!?" I raised a single eyebrow, watching amusedly as Amethyst started to laugh hard. Then, after a while, her laughing ceased. "I think I'm going to go tie her up. She's a handful. She's usually not so excited."
After I watched Amethyst tie her mare up, she started to walk towards me, and stop close. "You know... you could come stay at my ranch. I have a plenty big house, and only one horse and a puppy. Being...-" I watched her quietly, both hands now resting softly on my growing tummy, knowing where this was going. "-pregnant and all. I don't think you should be alone." I looked down at my gorwing belly for a moment, rubbing it softly before forwning slightly, and looking back up. "I really do appreciate what you're trying to do for me, but-" I sighed softly and took a deep breath, before exhaling it and continued on. "-I really don't want to intrude. I'm sure there's some other place I could go. It's not that big of a deal. Besides, I don't think you'd really want to put up with a crying baby all the time." I shrugged slightly at the last sentence. Well, it was true. Kind of. A crying baby would probably only get on her nerves, and what good was I to have around? I'm not able to do much, being pregnant and all.
It was then that I noticed Amethyst turn to look at something in the distance, and as she did, I turned to look too. My eyes widened slightly when I saw it was a wild horse. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Amethyst reach and get rope out of her pocket and sling it over her shoulder. When I felt Amethyst's hand gently squeeze my shoulder, I nearly jumped because I was so focused on watching the wilf horse, but I didn't. "Look. You wanted to see a wilf horse?" I turned my head slightly to look at her, and nodded softly.
I heard a shrill whistle come from behind me, and I turned to watch Joe as he looked out towards his horse. Pretty soon the horse came running for him, and without the horse stopping, he jumped on the saddle and galloped off. I felt my heart start to race when I saw him to do this, wondering how he didn't fall off and get trampled. When they were far enough away, the horse started to buck for some reason. Then I watched as Joe spun his rope in the air and throw it at the mare.
OOC......
Sorry, I didn't include most of what the horses were doing, nor anyhing about the wild horse. It was a pain in the butt to try and incoporate it all somehow, so I left msot of it out. I hope you don't mind. Dx

Amethyst rolled her eyes. "Joe on the scene. God forbid, I can't catch one wild horse?" She meant when Joe was around, or anyone else. Some people were plain annoying. She would rather stand by her new friend. The girl slapped her hands on her hips and eyed the girl. "Yeah, and let you give birth in a gutter? Yeah right. I love babies, no matter how hard they scream. I had a little sister." Ammy had an amused, jolly look in her eyes.
The girl, walked over to her horse, untied her, and brought her back. She would rather the new mother not be beside another mare, especially a wild one. Amethyst's mare was very protective, well, getting to it. "It'd be fun to have two new babies at my ranch." She joked, and rubbed Skye's stomach. She tossed her head and nuzzled my chest.
Amethyst smiled big at her horse. "My beautiful girl. You need a friend, maybe I'll round you up one. I love breaking in horses." Ammy was half joking, it was a big job. But she loved being throw around in a saddle anyway. Her mom would have a heart attack, and her dad would faint, so? Ammy saw her horse nuzzle Maddi, and she backed her up a bit. "Woah, hunny."
-----------------
I nuzzled my owner lovingly. She was talking to the human. She looked so scrawny, I couldn't believe she was pregnant. She looked like she would fall over with the weight. I reached over and nuzzled her shoulder. I felt Ammy push me away, and I snorted in annoyance.
But she was right, I shouldn't scare the girl. I heard the name Maddi, I only understood names, and everything else was blurry. So the girl's name was Maddi? Cool. I like that name. I wanted to run and go after that wild mare, I loved running. Which is why my human kept a close eye on me.

His rope missed. He heaved a sigh and had his shire circle the mare. She was not to go anywhere. This mare was too good to let go. If he tamed her, he'd probably let Maddi be the first to ride her besides himself. Strange, but yes. He felt stares heat his neck and the pressure rose. He clicked his tongue and rubbed the stallion's neck. Shh. Don't get you're hopes high. I'm not breeding her to you. Joe had him almost completely undercontrol.
"Joe on the scene. God forbid, I can't catch one wild horse?" Joe scowled to himself. Amy was his friend, but she was too motherly to live with. I see to it you can be the third to try! He yelled over with a sort of amused look on his face. I think you need more... skill to catch a wild horse. He said jokingly.
"Yeah, and let you give birth in a gutter? Yeah right. I love babies, no matter how hard they scream. I had a little sister." Joe flinched a bit. He was not completely comfrontable with the word birth. Even with his few little siblings, he was never actually in the hospital when they were born. But Maddi was new here and if she needed someone close, friend.... best friend..... boyfriend. Now that was dreaming. But he was considering asking her to that fancy resturaunt somewhat downtown.
Man this horse a dancer. Joe watched the horse moved and try to run. He actually thought that if he caught her, he'd have to give a better diet then his wrangler horse. He reeled in the rope. He twirled it higher and threw it harder and more towards the left this time. It was a good throw, and if it miss, this horse would be a hard one.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tres nickered once or twice, but was a decent horse. He stopped when told to and went where needed. The horse was skinny and sickly. Tres felt sorry for her. More the reason he did what told. He wanted her to feel better. He figured Joe would give her a giant pasture or something to make her feel at home. Whatever it was, it should be useful. His long blue hair shook once and he held his head high, as the rope soared over. He almost bucked for joy, but then he remembered.

The human's voice caused me to tremble. It was lower and quieter than that of a horse, but somehow radiated power. My ears flicked back, and I took a few steps backward. But my knees were knocking together with exhaustion, and I could feel the strain on the joints. So I did not run, but watched him with an intent and dangerous fascination. Horses did not use objects, we had no use for sticks or stones or broken bones. But this human had a power to control them, a dangerous, fascinating power. I watched the end of the rope dancing back and forth across the rocks, tumbling over the tiny stones and turning them over. My nose was nearly touching the ground now, simply to watch the rope and because a terrible sense of helplessness had gripped my bones. There was nothing to do but stand and watch, for if I ran the human would catch me. There was no other choice.
My head shot up as the rope began to whistle in the air, as I moved backwards a few steps and reared slightly, whirling to one side. But I did not, in the end, run. I was resigned, in a strangely calm way, to my fate. So I simply turned and watched and listened to the swirling, the wind-cry of the latigo against the sky. The giant stallion seemed anxious about something, and for a moment I turned my blue eyes to him. Why was he aiding this human in taking away my freedom? Could he not see that I was wild? All that was in me fought to move away, but I forced myself to stand still and watch. But my eyes were on the stallion as the rope suddenly left the hands of the human and soared through the air, and the suddenness of it startled me.
I reared up in surprise, but the aim of the rope was true. If I had not moved, it would have landed around my neck. But now it caught one of my forelegs as I made to run. I whirled around and tried to gallop away, but too soon the latigo tightened around my ankle, and I was brought flying down to the earth violently, landing hard on my side. The breath was knocked out of me, and terror seized me and I laid as still as if I were dead. I was badly startled, and my breaths came quick and frantic. I felt as if I might die, and I was sweating as I lay on the ground, my nose to the dirt. I could only see the rope trailing off across the grass, bloodstained slightly where it had cut into my fetlock. It was not a deep cut, but it hurt.

Maddison......
When I heard Amethyst speak up, I turned around to face, hands still on my growing tummy. "Joe on the scene. God forbid, I can't catch one wild horse?" The corners of my mouth curved into somewhat of a smile, and I suppressed the urge to giggle at what she said. "Yeah, and let you give birth in a gutter? Yeah right. I love babies, no matter how hard they scream. I had a little sister." The corners of my mouth twitched into a warm smile at the mention of her having a sibling. "But, really, I don't want to intrude..." I said quietly.
My dark brown eyes watched as Ammy walked over to her horse to untie her, before bringing her back over. "It'd be fun to have two new babies at my ranch." I smiled somewhat warmly, keeping it for a small while, before a small frown replaced the smile. I couldn't do much, being pregnant and all, but I could try to help a little around the house. Cleaning, washing and possibly cooking, that's if Ammy taught me how to use a washing machine and how to cook, because I never learnt how to cook, nor use a washing machine. I was hopeless.
I looked up in time to see Amethyst smiling at her horse. "My beautiful girl. You need a friend, maybe I'll around you up one. I love breaking in horses." My eyes widened and my heart started to race slightly, mainly due to not paying attention to her, when Ammy's mare nuzzled me. "Whoa, hunny." When I saw Ammy start to back up her horse, I slowly reached an arm out toward's the mare's face, holding it palm down, trying to see if she'd let me pat her.
"I see to it you can be the third to try!" Upon hearing this, I turned to face Joe with an amused look on his face. "I think you need more... skill to catch a wild horse." My eyebrows raised, and I turned back to face Ammy, waiting to see what her reaction would be to this, eyebrows still raised. After a while looking at Ammy like this, my expression suddenly changed to a tired type, and I reached a hand up to cover my mouth when I felt a yawn coming on.
After doing that, I let my left arm drop down by my side, while I held my right out and palm down again, seeing if the mare would let me pat her again. She was a gorgeous horse, that was for sure.

Sly Xylina + SweetThing
Sly had been traveling lightly for the past three days, in hopes to help SweetThing out in the burden. Not only did the muscular quarter horse have to carry her, she had to carry their travel gear. They had come from Sly`s poor ranch in search of a `different`life. The slim built, nineteen year old girl couldn`t be around as she watched her father break horses, his way, any longer. Now she and her sorrel quarter horse have come from a treck of, one month, and six days, in the vast wilderness around them. [glow=black,2,300]``I dont think we`r in kansas any more Sweety``[/glow] Sly rubbed Sweety`s neck lovingly as they plodded on down the road. Sweety flicked her ears back, and snorted in an answer.
Sly took her hood down off her head, and let her waist long, copper, hair blow lively in the breeze. The jingling of her gear sounded lighlty along with SweetThing`s soft hoof beats, that cause small whirls of dust to appear. They were on a well worn path, no doubt used by horses. Sly slid her hand down the back of her neck and sighed heavily. SweetThing continued on her way as she bent her head to look up at Sly.
...
[glow=maroon,2,300]*Dont be sad, Sly*[/glow] SweetThing nickered softly at Sly, and turned her gaze back towards the road. Her inteligent brown eyes glimered as she searched ahead with all her senses. With a satisfied snort, she flicked her soft ears back towards Sly. [glow=Maroon,2,300]*Almost there... I know you worry for me, but I am strong*[/glow] SweetThing picked up her pace slightly, knowing her owner was impatient to get her to rest.
...
Sly listened happily to the crooning of her horse, and straightened her back as the pace picked up. [glow=black,2,300]"Smelt something have we?"[/glow] She knew to listen to her horse, and that whatever SweetThing did, she did to keep her happy. SweetThing was the only family Sly had, and it was not going to change anytime soon. Sly frowned slightly, [glow=black,2,300]"I realy do need to get you to a farrier, and mabey a vet. No harm in a check up"[/glow] The road ahead became thinner with trees and began to open up, alowing voices to drift on the wind towards the two travelers.
