Roxanne
Roxy looked at Vivian when she made her comment about weight. She managed to stop herself from rolling her eyes, there was no way she was going to get into a catty fight. How pathetic. The only thing that silghtly hurt Roxy's feelings was when Spice growled at her. Roxy loved all dogs, and was always sad when one didn't like her. Then again it was bound to happen, seeing as the little dogs owner hated Roxy. At the small pomeranians growl, Rage stood, uttering a small growl from the back of his throat. He had no qualms about attacking the spoiled pooch. "No." She reprimanded her dog swiftly. Even if she didn't like someone, she wasn't going to allow bad manners from her dog. Another snooty comment came from Vivian, and Roxy disregarded it with a careless shrug.
Another growl came from the Doberman as Vivian eyed him with disgust. Roxy was about to snap, she didn't care if people insulted her, but she despised it when someone dissed her animals, and with that look, Vivian was clearly doing that. She barely managed to keep from lunging at the other girl, but remained sitting in her seat, still with a blank expression on her face.
Because she had been so intent on remaining passive, Roxy jumped slightly when she felt something on her hand. She chuckled in relief as she saw it was just Z. "Yeah sure" She responded easily, but a knot was in her stomach as she answered him. She gave him a bright smile, and her chocolate brown eyes sparkled.

Vivian saw the hand gesture and if she was Spice, she would be ripping the flesh of Roxy's hand. She breathed out slowly and calmed, her eyes flicked from the one to the other. She was disgusted by the fact Zig chose this horrible female over herself. She was gorgeous, everyone loved her. She wanted to just walk away so bad and Spice even jumped down knowing what her mistress wanted. Vivian then stood and she wished life was a musical as she would be singing right now. She hummed a tune as she walked to the counter "a blueberry muffin please" she said and then paid before taking the sweet cake and walking back to the table. Spice looked at the muffin, she licked her lips and Vivian laughed "come on then!" and the dog immediatly jumped on her lap. Vivian fed the dog the cake before cleaning her hands on a napkin. She then looked at Zig and got a pen and paper out her bag, she wrote her number on the paper and folded it once before passing it to him. "Call me anytime, my schedule is always free for you" she flirted and couldn't resist to toss her hair. She looked beautiful and knew it.
Vivian then looked at Roxy she had a smirk on her face again and mouthed he is mine, honey. She would go out with Z, it was her challenge and she always got what she set her mind to. It was natural, a spoilt London girl who had just moved and she was going to be very obnoxious until she learned how to live in the real world. She then had inspiration for her next song so she pulled out a large book which had loads of musical lines. A lot were filled up with various notes but she found a blank page and started to fill in the words. "...Now we're enemies, deadly enemies" she wrote and smiled as her pen flicked across the paper. She would soon write the notes when she was on her piano. That's why Vivian kept the sheets with her, whenever inspiration came she wrote and write now she could only thank Roxy for this song.

Z smiled, being polite as he took the folded sheet of paper, "Thanks, I'll call whenever I get a chance..." he said softly. He then chuckled, and looked down at his Shepherd who remained calm throughout the entire thing. He then looked to what she was writing. "That's pretty good, you write songs, too?" he asked, smiling as he motioned the waiter over and said "Ah, I'll just take an Iced mocha..." he said, nodding at the waiter. He too nodded and walked off.
Jerry Lee lay down, he would -only- spring into action if he sensed any danger to his kind master. Little did either of them know something of that very nature was bound to happen, very soon...
Ziggy smiled after watching the little pomeranian eat the muffin. He smiled again when the waiter brought him his iced mocha. "Mmm, good old fashioned sugar... perfect." He murmured, taking a sip of the mocha.

Roxanne
She watched with a passing interest as a phone number exchanged hands. Z could do what he wanted. She raised and eyebrow as Vivian left and bought a muffin, came back, and fed it to her begging dog. Well, what a great wait to ruin a dog. Any dog that was taught that it could get whatever it wanted, just wasn't going to come out right in the long run.
Roxy reached down and stroked Rage on his head, the dog, in response, reached up and gave her hand a friendly lick. She smiled down at him, allowing her passive expression to finally disappear and show once again what she was feeling. At the moment, she was feeling perfectly happy. Animals almost always made her feel that way. Except for when her mother had... She cast of the thought, Rory coming to her ranch had helped her cope with it, and she hadn't been as sad as of late. Animals were once again bringing her moods up from the dumps.
She stood up, Rage copied his owner, waiting for her. "Hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna have to head out now." She gave the pair a friendly smile, not forced in the least. Her irriated nerves were calmed down now, and she had returned to her happy self. "Here, Z" She handed him the adress to her ranch. "Drop by any time, or see you on Saturday." She gave a parting wave and walked out of the coffee shop.

Vivian smiled happily "awesome!" she said and then read the papers lyrics, changing some words before she was happy. As he read she smiled and then laughed before looking up at him, her blue eyes sparkling like sapphires "come help me work out a melody if you want" she said, the piano was at her ranch and hearing her play would be amazing. She rolled her eyes at the mocha "I guess I should do this" she offered and opened her purse, paying the waiter for his drink. She put her purse away and then watched as Roxy moved up and went and she couldn't help but smile happily. Spice then jumped up on the bench she had sat on and lied happily in a ball. She then looked at Z, her eyes glinting as tears were on the brink. She was thinking of her last relationship, they had been going out for years and they were engaged. He had got hit by a car, the crash was so bad he was put on life support but didn't survive the night.
She tried to blink back the tears but the face still stayed and it was now you saw her true colours. Not the posh, rich woman but a fragile, broken girl. She let her fiery hair cover her face as the tears started to roll silently down her cheeks. Spice looked at her mistress, the look on her face showed that the dog knew something was wrong. She looked up at Ziggy, watery black lines were down her face from the tears mixed with mascara. Vivian brushed the tears away with the back of her hand and looked at Z "sorry, thoughts in-invade me" were her words. They were croaked out, she had a lump in her throat from the tears and sadness. It had been a while since she had thought of her fiance, and then she flicked back to the first song in her book. One about her love, she traced the noted with her finger and longed to play the song again.

The waiter blinked when she payed him, truth be told, he was -merely- hoping that some of Z's Awesomeness and girl-attracting rays would, somehow, engulf him and make him better than a silly waiter. "Uhh, for him, the mocha's on the house..." He said, hanfding her back her money. Then he nodded, realizing he wasn't going to get any of Ziggy's talent or charismatic abilities, and left.
Ziggy sighed softly, "I suppose, I Could help with a melody... though, music isn't one of my very best fields... I'm still -relatively- good at it, but, not the best..." then he noticed she started to cry. "W-what's wrong?" he asked, obviously worried that he'd done something wrong. Then when she said that she was plagued by thoughts, he took her hand in his, gently stroking the back of her hand and said softly "Tell me everything..." gently.

Vivian looked up, into the eyes of Z, she stared into his eyes for a while. She felt that she could trust him and then came his hand, on hers and she nodded but still no smile was on her face. "a few years back, when I was in England" she started and watched as Spice sat up, like a child being told a story. "I had a boyfriend, well fiance, who was the apple of my eye and I loved him so much. He was involved in a car crash.." her voice was lost and she took a deep breath, the tears spilling down her face but still no whimper was made. "He never made it through the night. You are the first guy I have looked at in that way since that night... it brought back memories" she said and then looked up. She probably looked a mess, mascara smudged everywhere, like a panda.
Vivian looked up at him, her blue eyes held so much mystery and now there was more than ever. "Come, to my ranch, I tend to play the piano when I am upset and would love for you to hear me play" she said and with her other hand held his hand, the one touching her own, gently. She wanted him to come, to have a audience and for someone to talk to. She needed to be with someone she could trust and what better than Zig. Vivian looked at Spice who was looking back at her, the eyes of the dog were so kind but worried for Vivian. She then pulled her eyes away from her dog and looked back at Z, she looked at him closely and watched every movement. Her eyes didn't move from his, she loved the way his hair was. A jet black, but so amazing and beautiful.

"Alright, I'll come to your ranch, but only for tonight, as long as it'll make you feel better..." He said softly, taking a tissue from his pocket, not one of those anti-bacterial things he had in his waist pack, just a regular tissue he carried around in case of things like this, and, yes, since he was so germaphobic, he changed the tissue he carried around every day, and handed it to her saying only "Here..." softly. Still, he nodded, "You'll have to show me the way, as I've never been to your ranch before..." he said softly, He smiled gently to her, trying to comfort her. "It's OK..." He said softly, gently hugging her in his strong, yet gentle, arms. "Hey, it'll be alright..." He said sweetly, "Tell you what, you like me that much? If the date on Saturday doesn't go very well with me and Roxy, I'll consider going out with you instead, how's that?" He asked her, gently resting the palm of his hand against her cheek.

A weak smile appeared on her face as she looked at him, saying a gentle thanks as she took the tissue and wiped her face which took away a lot of the mascara. Vivian looked strange without her make-up, less stuck up. She hugged him back when he hugged her, she was beginning to like this man more and more all the time which was a good thing. She listened and then felt his warm hand on her cheek, her eyes flicked up to his and she nodded a little and then stood. Spice was already off the bench and by her feet, she looked at Z "Its not that far away, and you can't miss it" she said. It was true though, chestnut trees lining the driveway up to the parks. Which was then in clear view of her large house. She started to walk out the shop and then saw his car "oh my, its gorgeous" she complimented.
She loved the colour, the orange and red, when they met it was like the shade of her hair. Her eyes danced over the car, everything about it was perfect. She had a Lambourghini but it was at home, she had a thing for expensive cars. A small smile was slowly appearing on her lips and widening as she got happier. Hopefully her radiant smile would be back when she was playing the songs, her fingers dancing on ebony and ivory. The piano was in the lounge, on a raised part on the floor which gave the room such a lovly feel. Everything in her home was expensive and pristine. She wouldn't have a dusty surface anywhere!

"Alright." he said, following her out the door, the crowd, which had been watching the entire thing in interest, waved goodbye to Z and he waved back, being polite. And then walked out the door with her. "Heh, thanks... it's not the best I can get, it's about three years old, but, I love BMWs like this old girl..." He said softly, walking up to the car and opened the passenger side door for her. "Here," He said, waiting for her to get into the car, then closed the door after she was in and secured in the seat, then walked around to the driver's side door, and got in, jumping over the door and into the seat, smiling at her. He was really, really athletic, which was strange as he didn't weigh much... anyway, he started up the BMW, which made a thunderous roar and then a throaty purr after it had started up. What a guy, he even had a ying-yang talisman for a decoration hanging from the rearview mirror, and the key chain? It was a little sign that read 'Warning: Stress levels rising, prepare for explosion!' He smiled as he buckled his belt, then pulled out of the drive. "And we're gone..." He said driving to the end of the driveway, then asked after coming to a fork-in-the-road "Which way, love?" He asked. He wasn't even entirely sure if he was going the right way, he was pretty sure though, because this was the only road that lead -away- from the coffee shop.

Vivian loved the sound of the engine as it purred. It was a soothing sound and she looked at him "left, then right, first turning on the right" she said and smiled as the car drove down the street. It wasn't long, thanks to the cars speed, that they had reached the pathway and were going down the path of her ranch. The chestnut trees which lined the road were well pruned and she smiled "welcome to Chestnut Ridge" she said and opened the door when the engine ceased. She got out and put the key in the lock, opening the door and walking inside. She threw them on a nearby coffee table and then sat on the piano stool. Her grand piano was white and it stood amazingly at one side of the room. She lifted up the cover to reveal the keys and then put some sheets up and read them a few times before playing the music.
Her fingers danced over the keys and music flooded the house. Low notes played with the odd high which gave it a amazing melody. She played for a few minutes and ended with a chord before looking at Z, her eyes shining and a smile on her face. She stood up and walked over to him "that was a piece of music I wrote a while ago, one of my best and most practiced" she said. Which was true as she did love that piece the most, its calming syphony.

"Wow, this is a nice place..." He said softly. He smiled at her as he listened to her play, Jerry Lee decided to entertain himself by sniffing around, getting used to the place. He was a very well behaved dog and knew better than to do anything to upset anything or anyone. Ziggy listened intently as he listened to the music, then listened to her talk. "I see..." he said, staring into her eyes, biting the nail of his index finger nervously. He was -obviously- nervous about something, but what? Probably that he was comforting another girl that was obviously the enemy of the girl he was going to start dating on Saturday. Now he wondered: What had his kind personality gotten himself into? But he continued to stare into her eyes, his eyes were blank and, seemingly, emotionless. But finally, after a moment, he walked up to her, and asked "Should we..." he trailed off, then finished, rather quickly after pausing with "...Start on that melody, then?"

Vivian smiled at Z, he was right, the place was amazing. She loved it and had it built to perfection, if she wasn't on a ranch she would have a pool. Spice followed Jerry Lee, jumping up on a counter and pushing the bag full of dog biscuits on the floor which made them spill everywhere. Vivian stared into his eyes and she listened to his words, she had forgotten about the melody. "Right! We should, my little song" she flipped a page and came to one she had wrote about Z. Of course, he wouldn't know it was about him. It would be fast and that was the type of music she loved to play, very fast and very skilled. She played a few keys in turn slowly, building it up. She then made her fingers dance again, quickly on the keys and they didn't last more than a second on a key.
She then shuffled up on the piano stool "come sit" she said and smiled. She put her fingers on a pencil and drew in some notes on the sheet before playing them again. It wasn't long until she could memorize that short part and was trying to add the next verse. The next verse was harder, she played keys but it never sounded right. She then looked into Ziggy's eyes, she wanted the inspiration but then without knowing what she was doing she leaned in and kissed him on the lips.

Ziggy sat on the bench next to her, watching her play those keys. He chuckled as he read over the verses, putting 2 and 2 together, as the phrase went. "I can tell this song is about me in a few ways: 1: you wrote while you were near me in the coffee shop, 2: you and Roxy had been fighting over me just before you -started- to write it, 3: you're looking at me weirdly, as though waiting for an insp-" he was cut off by her lips on his, it didn't take -very- long for him to respond, but he still responded in a rather pleasing way, gently pressing the palm of his hand to the side of her face.
Jerry Lee backed up quickly when the dog biscuits fell off the counter, and he sniffed at them, not eating the veggie flavored ones but gladly eating the meat flavored ones. His tail wagged slightly as he looked up at Spice, as though thanking her.

Vivian was so happy as he kissed her back. She ended up putting her hand on his cheek and the other around his shoulders. She had never kissed with so much passion in her life, and she had been told she was a amazing kisser. Vivian drew her lips back about a centimetre and looked into Z's eyes "I love you Z, the song wouldn't be about anyone but you" she said before placing her lips back on his. Her eyes were closed and she let her body take control, her mind would of loosed anyway if she wanted to draw away. This was the bad thing about love, only if it was the only thing. You could never tear away from it, you always had to listen to what your heart told you and right now it told her everything she wouldn't of dared to do.
Spice ate up the biscuits Jerry Lee left behind and then wagged her tail. She was liking the shepherd and pounced on his tail. She started to play with the giant german shepherd dog and a grin was on her face which showed all her teeth. Her eyes sparkled and she played with the dog.
