Jewel entered the valley with her now grown colt she named Daray. She had finally gotten the power to return this land of the darks, the ever so popular she had grown accustom to and she wanted to show off her handsome kin, her pure Arabian Stallion, the one who may some day rule and allow her to rest in peace as her son takes control of everything here, but she must not let Dazeedo know that's her plan for he may ban her son quicker than a lightning flash. But Daray was his kin too, his spawn, his blood, he could not abandon his own, she would not allow it!
Treading behind her with head held high like his mother was Daray. He stood out more than his mother for his coat was spotted with so much white, he was mocked by cows as a colt when they passed the fields until he kicked one in the side. He never heard a peep from them since and boy, was mama proud of her dark son. "Mom. Why have you brought me here." Daray had a habit of keeping everything as a statement.
"Daray. You are here for you need to see what you will one day be ruling over. Where your future has started, and who all you must make friends with. Including your father Dazeedo." She leaned her massive neck forward and pulled at the luscious green grass, chewing slowly, enjoying the juice from the grass.
"But, mama, will I be ssstrong enough?"
Jewel spit her grass out and turned hard to face her son. "How dare you speak this way Daray! You /are/ strong! You were strong since you were born, fighting hard everyday! How dare you doubt yourself now! Dazeedo is aging and nonetheless, fighting is not the issue now! You need to woo the mares and the stallions to your way of thinking! Remember that! Remember Daray!" When she'd finished she was huffing from her frayed nostrils and turned from Daray in a huff and leaped into a trot, flicking her silky black tail to keep her balance.
