[glow=beige,2,300]"Home sweet home..."[/glow] Seth smiled happily as he got out of his truck, and walked forward a few steps, admiring his new house. Though the yard was some what trashed, the house still held it's beauty. Stretching his arms to the sky, Seth marveled his home.
The passenger side door opened and slammed, sighing Seth turned. Two girls jumped out, both rather good looking and Innocent. Sighing Seth turned around, didn't think Id already have people moving in.... Though I was the one who invited them. Just then Sly dropped her backpack, causing X-Larain to pick it up, allowing her hair to wisp in the wind.
Blushing, Seth looked back toward the house, that will soon be only him and the two girls. I'm going to hell....
.....
Sherika whinnied happily. She had smelt the others with Seth the moment they drove up the driveway. The black quarter horse mare had been grazing in the large empty lot beside the bigger barn. She was not tied or fenced, but none of that mattered, she would never leave Seth.
....
Seth had gladly left the girls to openly move what little stuff they had up into their chosen rooms. Walking briskly towards Sherika, who was already cantering towards him. On each side of him he had SweetThing and Ryley, slowly he stopped, and looked at the broken down pastures. The stalls in the barns were no better, the reason why Sherika was running loose.
Looking over to were the girls had disappeared, Seth pondered weather or not it was ok to let the other two horses loose. Well one way to find out. Seth first undid Riley then SweetThing, who seemed to shy from his hand slightly.
Once he had let them go he watched, and hoped they would stay and not bolt. After gazing at them, he realized they were not going to leave. Relieved, Seth walked back to the house, he was starving, and wanted to make something to eat. The movers had already brought in all the food supplies, stocking the walk in fridge, along with setting up his room. My parents are a thousand miles away and still they are a step ahead.

Stepping out of Seth's truck marked a new begining for Sly, she had been traveling so long. She sighed happily, not watching what she was doing. She flung her backpack to her shoulder, but in doing so it slipped from her grip. I dropped, but before she could go to pick it up X-Larain was already there to get it. Sly smiled at the girl, they had become somewhat of friends on the short 2 days they had known each other, even when X-Larain was still drawing back. Oh well they know little of my past...
Walking into the house thrilled Sly immensely, the house smelt of fresh air and ranch, but soon would be filled with the scent of food cooking. That had been the agreement for Sly to stay at the ranch, she would cook and help out in the fixing. Also why X-Larain was her, more for the fixing.
After some minutes Sly had her stuff set up, and she was glad to see a dresser and book case in her room already. Also a small side table by her bed, and a large lamp beside it. Sly pulled off her cloak, and replaced it with a brown tank-top, and a pair of worn out jeans. Also she looked into her dusty mirror and tied her long hair back, ready to work. It was near dinner time, the sun slowly working it's way down. She headed down the stairs, skipping her way down, humming all the way.
Her steps echoed in the large empty house as she neared the kitchen. Entering she noticed Seth with his head in a cabinet, soon emerging with a stick of jerky in his mouth, cute!... With her hands behind her back Sly approached. [glow=black,2,300]"If your hungry I could make dinner?...."[/glow] It was weired to be in his home, let alone living there, and so Sly wished X-Larain would hurry in her room, and maybe help her with dinner.
....
SweetThing was equally happy about a more permanent home, but she still hated the boy. She bobbed her head away from him as he led her to the hyped mare. Also Ryley stood beside him more calmly. Slowly the boy seemed to decide what to do, idiot! Finlay after thinking it over he let them free, allowing them to roam freely.

X-Larain opened her eyes and lifted her head off of the window. They had been driving for about three hours, and she slept the whole way. Oh well, gives them time to figure things out. With a yawn, she stretched out her arms and looked at the house she was going to be living in. It was beautiful she had to say(but of course she wouldn't out loud), a bit of a fixer-upper, but beautiful non-the less. She wasn't too thrilled about having to live in the same house as Seth, but Sly seemed okay. Besides, her and Ryley had been on the go for too long, it would be nice to settle down, even if she was only going to be here for a few months. That was the plan.. the one the others didn't know about. She was soon to be leaving, so she didn't want to get too comfortable.
As soon as the truck stopp, she hopped out. Sly went to sling her backpack over her shoulder, but it slipped off. X-Larain instinctively went and grabbed it off of the round. Her wispy hair fell loose. She stood back up to find Sly smiling at her and Seth staring. He turned away quickly, but she was still annoyed. Grabbing the rest of the things that Sly hadn't, she trudged up the stairs. The trip up was longer then neccesary, but she couldn't help but look around at all the splendor of the house... And fall numerous times up the stairs. She walked to the room she had claimed, opened the door, and went in. She was glad to find her small side table beside her bed with the lamp on it, her dresser with a mirror on top, and another dresser at the end of her bed. She set her bags on her bed, which poofed up dust as the things were set down. But one of the bags wasn't hers.
She walked to Slys room, the one beside Seths of course, and walked in. "Sly..?" She questioned, but her voice trailed off. The smaller girl wasn't even in there. Fast mover. So she set the bag on Slys bed and walked out, closing the door behind her. She walked to the stairs and began to walk down them. At the half way point, she tripped and fell the rest of the way, landing on her stomach at the bottom. Her arm swung out and her elbow hit the walk, creating a loud smacky/boomy type sound.(haha) Groaning, she stood up. She pulled her hood back over her head and walked towards the sound of voices.
.....
Ryley was excited at the smell of a Ranch. Sweety was on the other side of the grumpy human boy named Seth, and Sherika was further up ahead. He whinnied out to her. After a moments hesitation, Seth let the two horses go and headed into the house. A soon as the door shut behind him, Ryley ran off. The wind smacked against his fac and he loved it. Of course, the moment would be better if X-Larain was with him, but he would live. He bucked and kicked and jumped like a yearling around the yard, not caring what the others thought. He was living in the moment, and enjoying it too.
.....
Swinging her arms, X-Larain walked through the door from the Living Room to the Kitchen. Sly offered to make something to eat and Seth was pulling a piece of jerky out of his mouth. She walked up to them hesitantly, not sure what to do. Standing by the cabinet opposite of them, she rocked back on her heels, swinging her arms. She avoided eye-contact with them.

[glow=black,2,300]"If your hungry, I could make dinner?"[/glow]
Sly's voice interrupted Seth's rummaging, he felt famished and had already crammed some jerky into his mouth. He had already forgotten that Sly and X-Larain were here, and as if to prove a point X-Larain appeared. She rocked on her heels, as if waiting for something, so Seth chewed the rest of his jerky and stepped aside from the pantry, inviting Sly to take a look.
Slowly Seth made his way to the living room to sit on the couch, he wasn't much help in the kitchen, so he decided to rest a bit while he waited.
Sitting down Seth looked to the sealing, feeling the warmth of the fabric beneath him. Again he sighed happily as he closed his eyes, reminiscing in his knew home. After blinking several times, Seth's eyes began to become heavy, and he realized how tired he was.
....
Sherika had watched with great interest as Ryley burst into a gallop, bucking playfully. [glow=lightblue,2,300]"Guess you guys are staying for a bit!" [/glow]Her legs burst into a blur of motion as she raced to join Ryley, leaving SweetThing far behind.
....
.:: The tree's began to blow slightly in an invisible wind, that now sprung out of nowhere. The day had been calm as far as I could remember, but now the leaves began to rustle. Slowly, but noticeably, they began to whirl into the air, also lifting my hair into a tussle. Why was the wind picking up? And were am I?
Suddenly a wail cam from nearby, causing me to look to my right as I lay under the waving tree. In a whirl of wind a blond girl emerged from the forest. Her emerald green eyes that once shone with happiness were streaked with tears.
I remember getting up and racing to her, taking her into my arms, sobbing into her wind blown hair. Why I had been crying I didn't know. I sobbed for a while longer, but the sudden wetness that seeped into my arms stopped my sob short. I knew what I was going to find even before I looked, but even then I still looked::.
[glow=beige,2,300]"SA...."[/glow] Seth woke in a sweat that clung to his body, but he couldn't seem to move, his body was shaking, and his eyes began to dart around the room. Without knowing it he had clenched his pocket knife to tight, and now drew blood from a thin line on his palm.
Finally calming down he sat up on the couch, looking at the small cut on his hand, whats wrong with me?

Sly smiled as Seth drew back so she could get dinner ready, she watched as he disappeared out the door. Almost Shyly she walked and looked into the pantry. With a sigh she reached in and brought out some easy to make stuffing, she had expected canned peaches and jerky, but it was actually filled with most of the cooking stuff.
Soon she was in a rhythm, pulling her hair tighter into a messy bun she walked to the fridge, passing the box of stuffing to X-Larain. After searching the cold fridge, she emerged with a half frozen chicken. [glow=black,2,300]"I haven't had chicken in forever!"[/glow] Sly smile at X-Larain and headed to get dinner ready.
About an hour or so later, Sly had a nice crispy brown chicken set on the table, and also a bowl of Cesar salad that X-Larain helped whip together, also along side a bowl of steaming stuffing. With a satisfied smile Sly headed to the living room, looking for Seth. [glow=black,2,300]"Seth?..." [/glow]She opened the door happily, only to find Seth sitting on the couch looking at his hand. [glow=black,2,300]"Seth..."[/glow] She asked more quietly as she approached. [glow=black,2,300]"OMG! what happened!" [/glow]Seth was covered in sweat, also holding his bloodied hand. Before she knew it, Sly was up the stairs and into her room. She scrambled for her first aid kit and walked briskly to the stares, what was he doing? Sly couldn't help but be worried, it was just in her nature.
Sitting down beside Seth she began to work, but Seth was still looking down and as she grabbed for his hand he drew back. [glow=black,2,300]"Don't be a baby! Let me see you hand SETH!"[/glow] No often did Sly use such a voice, but she would not tolerate him right now. She was already mad, thinking that he cut himself on purpose, and that she might be in a house with a psycho. She held her hand out irritably, allowing Seth to give her his hand.

X-Larain leaned back as Seth walked past her into the living room. Not much for cooking I guess. Walking up behind Sly, she leaned over her shoulder and peered into the pantry. "You've got to be kidding me.." She muttered under her breath, though Sly probably heard. There was no cereal except for three different flavors of Al-Bran cereal. She walked over to the other panrties and searched through each, finding no cereal. "No way!" She muttered. Sly walked past her, gently shoving a box of stuffing into her hands. X-Larain looked at the food questionaingly. "Eww... I hate to say it, but I'm so going shopping tomorrow." She said to herself as Sly then disappeared into the walk in fridge. Boys got moeny. Sly popped out with a chicken. [glow=Black,2,300]"I haven't had chicken in forever!"[/glow] She shrugged, it was all the same to her.
Setting the stuffing on the counter, she walked into the fridge. Then walked back into the kitchen. "I'm making Cesar Salad." She announced. They made supper, only taking about an hour. It smelled heavenly, aside from the stuffing, and X-Larain was eager to eat. Does he have a dining room? She shrugged and leaned against the counter, waiting for sly to get Seth. [glow=black,2,300]"OMG! What happened?!" [/glow]She heard the smaller girl exclaim. Sprinting into the living room, X-Larain walked over to the two of them, seeing what had happened. Seths hand was cut open and covered in blood. It dripped onto his pants, but he just stared at it. The knife lay on the ground, blood alongthe blade. He was covered in sweat too, though she thought he'd been sleeping. "What the hell Seth?!" She hated talking directly to him, but seriously... What the hell? Sly disappeared up the stairs and back down within thirty seconds, a first-aid-kit in her small hands.
She took a step back. If they were living with a physco path, she was leaving. Slowly, she walked back into the kitchen. Sly began to fuss over the boys hand, trying to help him. Her tone became slightly harsh, unusual for her. X-Larain took one of the knoves and ran up the stairs. Sprinting into her room, she hid it under her pillow. "I'm not taking any chances with this creep." She growled to herself. She heard something behind her and twirled around."Wha-?" But there was nothing there. Paranoid... She ran out the room and to the stairs. Before she even made it half way down the stairs, she tripped. She yelped out a curse as her head hit the ground. For a moment she couldn't see anything, then her vision came back in splotches. Black circles still clouded her vision. "Ughn..." She moaned. Slowly, she walked back into the living room.
.....
Ryley was extatic that Sherika had joined him. "I guess so!" He nickered. He ran around Sweety, bugging her to join. "Come on, Sweety! Lossen up!" But then he stopped. The house was quiet. Through the windows he could see something fly down the stairs and all but scream. He whinnied out to the figure that he knew so well, but calmed instantly when she stood back up. She was fine. Good. Picking up his pace from before, he began ot run around with Sherika.
.....
X-Larain walked up to Sly and Seth. The knife was gone and a tight bandage was wrapped around Seths hand. He was still looking blankly at it, whilst Sly still fussed. She shrugged and walked over to the chair in the corner, furthest from them. Sitting down on it, she threw one long leg over the arm of it. Placing her elbow(the one that wasn't sore from earlier) on the other arm of the chair, she rested her head in her hand until supper time. [/color]

Seth looked at his hand blankly, wondering when he had even taken out his knife, but also why he remembered his dream so clearly. [glow=black,2,300]"OMG what happened!"[/glow] Sly was suddenly in a blur of motion as she gathered up a first aid kit, but as she went to help, Seth pulled away. He had regained himself, and really couldn't manage the touch of her cool skin against his feverish palm. [glow=black,2,300]"don't be a baby! Let me see you hand SETH!"[/glow] The sternness of her voice caused Seth to look up, it surprised him that such a gentle girl was able to intimidate him. Slowly he laid his hand in hers, looking away the whole time, and also wincing slightly at the pain of the cleaner. "What the hell Seth?!" X-Larain hadn't spoken to him the whole time they were here, so to hear her voice surprised him, I'm sick of surprises! Finally Sly was done, Seth stood up, not wanting to be near her any longer then he had to. Better get used to it moron... Seth thought to himself angrily, knowing he was already getting used to it, and having these two around was good for him.
Seth made his way silently up the stairs, passing X-Larain on the chair. He looked at her guiltily then looked back to Sly, who sat staring at him on the couch. [glow=beige,2,300]"Thank you.... I didn't mean to..."[/glow] Without another word he headed up to his room. Seth reached out for his door nob, ready to turn it, but he stopped and turned to lean against his door. Why do I feel so helpless? [glow=beige,2,300]"I would have thought it was the girls... but it's been happening longer than they've been with me..."[/glow] But it has been more often with them around. Suddenly Seth's stomach growled, demanding to be fed. The smell of Sly's dinner wafted up the stairs at the right moment, and so Seth went into his room to change into something comfier.
Moments later Seth was already in the dining room and sitting down, though he just stared at the food. Sighing he dropped his head in a prayer. The girls were still in the living room, as Seth sat in silence, now in a pair of sweats and a white muscle shirt that seemed to be to small. They never make them big enough... sighing he looked up and waited for the girls.

As soon as Sly was done, Seth grumbled up the stairs, but just as he got to them he seemed to have a change of heart, since he stopped to say thank you, and to Sly's relief he mentioned how he hadn't meant to do it.
Sly stayed on the couch looking down at her own hands, wondering how long it had been since she had cared for someone other than her horse, though it seemed she would have to wait for any real relationships. Seth doesn't seem like that kind of guy... Sly blushed at the thought, she barely knew him.
Sly was still mulling this over and didn't notice Seth walk to the set dining room, not untill she smelt her own cooking. Hungry, she sat up and walk towards the door to the dining room, turning to X-Larain, [glow=black,2,300]"You coming X?" [/glow]without another thought Sly walked in.
She walked to the table and sat down, as she sat she looked up at Seth, not realizing he had been in there. She became starteled, because he had changed into a muscle shirt, showing of his slim build, but also showing his tonned chest and arms. Even his neck seemed to have it's own tone. blinking back her stair down, Sly looked to her food silently, waiting for X-Larain.

X-Larain bobbed the leg that was hanging over the arm of the chair. She nodded her head to a tune only she could hear as Seth walked by. He cast her a guilty glance and she stiffened. With a glare full of venom, she looked away. Sly was sitting on the couch where Seth had just been, looking at her own hands. [glow=White,2,300]"Thank you.... I didn't mean to..."[/glow] X-Larain scoffed. "Right..." She mutterd to hersef. Seth skipped up the stairs and an awkward silence settled in the living room. But only for a few moments. Seth came back down and went into the dining room. At the same time as Sly, X-Larain remembered the food.
[glow=Black,2,300]"You coming X?" [/glow]
X-Larain was slightly startled by her voice. She didn't like being spoken directly to. She noded and followed the smaller girl into the dining room. At the door, she turned to walk in, but ran into the door. Her head smacked against the frame and a loud Oof! came from her. Rubbing her head with her good arm, she sat down on the chair across from Sly. She almost missed it. Grumbling, she picked up her fork. And with the others, she began to eat a quiet meal.
When they were finished, she put her dishes in the sink. "I'll do the dishes in the morning." She muttered at them. Then she slowly decended up the stairs so she wouldn't fall. But, of course, fate was against her. She fell up the stairs twice, both times hitting her shins scraping her elbows. "Oh my gosh!" She growled. Walking to her room, she opened the door and went in. She took her bags off the bed and stripped the bed of its stiff, dusty sheets. She only kept the pillow that hid her knife, after beating it against the wall to rid it of dust of course. She threw them on the ground and plopped onto her sheetless bed. "Ughn..." She moaned. Rolling over, she fell asleep, light on, door open, mouth slack and fully dressed.
.::. It was him. Shaggy blonde hair, hazel brown eyes, everything. The youngest one. But he was different. He didn't partake. He didn't want to hear her scream. He helped her and fed her. He feared the others. Why? They laughed at his kindness. He clothed her when the others slept. He tried. He was different. He looked different But still the same kind of vermon.::.
X-Larain woke screaming. She looked at her cloack and saw it was only one in the morning. She was covered in sweat. She thought back to her dream, and swung her legs over her bed. She crouched over and covered her face with her hands. She pulled her hands away to find them wet. She was crying? Seth. She jerked back at the thought. He looked like the youngest boy of the group when she was... But he looked different. The only similarities were the hair, height and eyes. The one in her dreams.. from her past had freckles and was more muscled. She shuddered and stood. Taking the knife from under her pillow, she ran downstairs and out the house. She wasn't sure if the others saw her, but she didn't care. She found the horses sleeping and crawled up beside Ryley. He looked down at her in concern.
.....
Ryley looked at X-Larain curiosly as she crawled up to him. She was shaking and crying, but he didn't know why. He blew a small gust of air into her face and folded his legs under him. He knew the other horses would warn him if there was danger. She butted his head to hers softly, still confused.
.....
She smiled through her ears. "It's okay boy.." She whispered softly as he layed down beside her. He butted her head and she scratched his ears. "Just a bad dream.." She murmed, snuggling closer to the horse. She held the knife firmly in her hand and fell asleep besid eher best friend.
