Name: Marcus Christopher Laney
Nicknames?: Marc
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Physical Description:
He's got sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, and a nice tan. Just think "Beach boy" and you've got what he looks like. He's fairly tall, and kind of muscled, but more toned than anything. He's got white straight teeth, that you see practically all the time, considering he's a pretty cheerful guy. His style is... interesting. Toned down to him, is a plain t-shirt, with hawaiian shorts. Hawaiian print shirts and shorts are fairly common for him to be wearing.
Weight: 220 lbs
Height: 6"3
Personality:
Marcus has a flair for the dramatics. If he can go subtle, or wild, it's not hard to guess which way he's going to go. Awkward silences are just non-existent around this guy. He always has something to say, even if it makes no sense. He can be a bit random, but overall, he's a happy kind of guy. If you've around him, not one girl can believe that chivalry is dead. He's like a prince charming in that way. But don't count on him falling head over heels for you.
He isn't a huge flirt, but because he is dramatic, it can seem like he's flirting with you. He's a sweet guy, but doesn't do that well in serious moments. He'd rather be goofing off and having fun that sitting down for a chat about 'feelings'. Despite that, he does do the occasional flirting, and he has liked a few girls. But he's never had a real relationship.
If you're stuck up, it's almost gauranteed he's going to try and bring you down a notch. Even if that means killing you with kindness. Fighting or anything of that sort isn't in his nature. He'd rather everyone just get over themselves and go to being friends.
Marcus is a city slicker. He knows practically nothing about town life, and perhaps even less about horses. He came here to find that kind of stuff out. He hates the term 'city slicker'. But if you use it, he's going to brush it off and act like he doesn't care. Getting people to laugh and have fun is perhaps one of the biggest things he likes to do. That, and just about any sport there is.
History:
Marcus was born July 2nd in Seattle. His family had lived there for a long while, so Seattle had everything. Friends, Family, and lots of places to go have fun and hangout.
He loved the place to death, and couldn't think of any other place he would rather live. He enjoyed life to the fullest he could at his age, but his parents split up when he was only 10. After a custody battle, both he and his sister went with thier mother, who left and went to New York.
Marc hated everthing about having to live in New York. He was mad at his parents for divorcing, and even putting the blame on himself at times. Still, through this time he never let his sister see him break. He was always there for her, her constant support when she needed somoneone to hold onto. She is younger than but, but could understand everything going on practically as well as he could.
He went to school there, still missing his old friends, but because of his care free nature, he made new friends fairly quickly. Junior high came and went, until he was finally in high school. The cliques were prominenet, and he didn't really fit in. Despite being good looking, he wasn't accepted into the popular group. He didn't do sports. He wasn't accepted into the skater group, because he wasn't punk enough. He was dramatic, and acted, but didn't fit well with the drama club. He was more of a loner, with a few select friends.
After another fight, his dad got partial custody over them, and both he and his sister chose to move in with him. He lived in LA, and decided to send them to one of the more expensive private schools, one with a good reputation. It didn't work out, so Marc switched to internet schooling to finish highschool, moving to Nevada hoping to learn a thing or two about horses, having wanted to for awhile. His sister stayed with their father, but is toying with the idea of coming to live with Marc.
