"Get out of here!" The store owner yelled, just before a rather large man came and through Marcus out the door. Just before the manager walked off, Marcus heard him utter something about 'hooligans'. "See if you get my service again!" He yelled, grinning from ear to ear after the ordeal. Nothing got him down, besides, all he had done was joked around, made the store more fun! Even if that did involve possibly damaging the store's interior... Touchy people. He shook his head, eyes still sparkling with silent laughter. Turning, he picked up his board, and carried himself away from the store with dignity, despite the looks from others that had witnessed the scene. "Haven't you ever seen a hooligan getting kicked out of a store?" He asked good naturedly, deliberately using the word the manager had.
With a smirk, he dropped his skateboard, and put one foot on it, pushing off with his other one. Crusing through the mall with ease. He jumped with the board, sliding down a rail, considering that he wasn't about to go down stairs on it. He did the move smoothly, and continued on, ignoring the annoyed looks of people walking through the mall. It wasn't long before he stopped, flipped his board up and walked into another store.....
THUD! This was beginning to become a habit. He glanced up into the red face of yet another manager. Oh well. He grinned innocently, as if he hadn't just caused havoc in the man's store. After giving the boy another warning, the man turned and went back into his store. "No one can take a joke." He brushed his black hoodie, and jeans off, and picked his board up again. Still grinning.

Riley sat, perched on the edge of the giant white marble fountain that stood in the center of the mall. She had one of her legs crossed over the other, looking down as she flipped through the copy of Teen Vogue that she had just purchased. She took deep breaths, trying to sooth and calm herself, attempting to eliminate what was left of her anger. She seemed to become more and more irritable everyday recently. Sometimes she wondered why she even risked having one of her tantrums in public by coming to the mall. Remembering that she had promised herself she would try her hardest to live life just like a normal girl, she rubbed her temples and blocked out all noises around her to prevent herself from blowing up again. She had just caused a scene down at the makeup store when someone acted like a jerk at the register. Instead of asking the person to stop or simply walking away and brushing it off, she had screamed at them and started crying. She was a complete and utter mess.
As Riley refocused on an article about hairstyles, she heard someone yell and she jumped, surprised. Staring at the storeowner who was yelling and ushering someone out of the store, she stood up curiously, completely forgetting she had been furious a moment before. That was how fast mood swings came and went. Raising an eyebrow, she watched as a boy who looked around her age grinned as he called something back. He looked completely amused and something aroused inside of her, making her almost wish she was getting yelled at and having fun too. She involentarily began walking towards the ramp, knowing that was the direction he was going from the way his board was facing. She jogged ahead, then stood still as he slid down the rail and skated on. Seeing him approach another store she stood back, mentally slapping herself for following him. She might look like a stalker for one, and she had just blown up and someone. She was liable to do it again. Riley bit her lip and looked the other way.
She sat on a nearby bench and tried to avoid glancing at the boy again, but she was startled once more as he upset another man. She let out an audible laugh and then clasped her hand over her mouth, trying not to draw attention to herself in the moment. Usually she seeked the spotlight, but right now probably wasn't the best time to make a move. As he claimed that no one could take a joke she reflexively stared over at him, cursing herself. She was just noticing how cute he was, and she began to blush. Riley was naturally a huge flirt, but she was also naive and fell for people quickly sometimes. She refused to let that happen again. Picking up her jacket, she brisquely walked towards the food court. She stumbled though, and gathered up the contents of her purse before standing again, slightly unstable as she brushed her long black curls away from her eyes, feeling them cascade down her back as she moved.

Marcus glanced around the mall. There was still dozens of stores he hadn't been kicked out of. Yet, that is. His blue eyes sparkled in mirth, he hopped back onto his skateboard. Glancing around again, trying to decide where she should go. The sound of a girl laughing, caused him to look around. His blue eyes landed on a pretty girl, who looked like she was trying to stop from laughing out loud. To late for that, he thought to himself with a grin. He was about to walk up to her, when she turned around and walked off. He watched her for a moment, deciding that she was heading to the food court. Briefly, he considered going to talk to her, but discarded the thought. Maybe later, right now, he wanted to check out that surfing shop he passed a while back.
With a decisive nod, he turned around, heading back to the shop. He arrived in front of it with a small smile on his lips. Picking up his board, he entered the store. Taking a look around, before studying the surf boards they had. He ran his hand over one, checking to see what kind it was. It was perfect, he glanced at the price tag, groaning when he saw how high it was priced. "Why do I have to be broke?" He grumbled to himself. He rolled his eyes, then walked away from the boards, still holding his skate board. Marcus looked over at the hawaiian print outfits and grinned, before walking away, right out of the store. He put the board back down, and hopped on.
He was quickly becoming bored with being in the mall. But he didn't really have anything better to do. His sister was... somewhere. Maybe even finding them a placae to live. They were currently boarding somewhere, but didn't have the money to continue. They needed to find a place to live that they could pay for boarding by working. As he spotted the food court, his mind went back to the girl. He'd only seen her walk off, five or so minutes ago. Quickly, he made his way towards the last place he'd seen her, before making his way in the direction she had walked off in. He grinned when he spotted her. With a quick movement, he flipped up his board, caught it, and then sat down across from her. "Ever heard the phrase 'kindred spirits?" he asked with a grin, before offering his hand. "The name's Marcus."

As Riley picked up her purse and jacket, almost forgetting to grab her magazine, she noticed out of the corner of her eye that she had managed to catch the attention of the skater, if only for a brief moment, before she walked away. She hoped she hadn't come off as rude, but she had already started off when she saw him looking at her. It would have looked strange if she had turned around, at least in her mind. And Riley's mind was often filled with random thoughts and a mixture of emotions. She was a walking circus. At the moment the carnival was closed, and she was focused only on not getting mad again. If she could handle that much, she would be fine. Riles did have her moments though, when she let loose and completely came out of her shell. She was so much fun once you got to know her. She was energetic and hyper and sweet most of the time, and crazy all around.
Walking to the food court after stumbling and tripping, she tried to regain her composure. Swaying to the beat of the music slightly, she stepped up in line at McDonalds and when it was her turn she was debating between junk food and something healthier. Finally deciding on a salad and a diet sprite since she wasn't that hungry, she found an empty table and sat down. She looked around to see if anyone was watching and got up to get extra ranch. On the way back to her booth she started dancing and singing along to the song, skipping a little. Sitting down and taking a sip of her drink, she looked back up and yelped when she saw the cute guy sitting across from her, surprised. She had intended on trying to stay away, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen anytime soon.
Seeing him flip up his board and catch it before sitting down across from her, she brushed her locks over her shoulders and prayed that she would be able to control her temper. She watched him grin at her and she almost melted, then was shocked at her reaction. "This is actually the third time you've scared me today," she blurted out randomly. "....Even though i'm pretty sure you've only seen me once" she added, then her eyes widened. "Wow, that sounded stalkerish" she blushed and laughed nervously. She was relieved when he asked her something, and then introduced himself. "Kindred spirits? Me? A troublemaker?" she smirked and shrugged. "Only on the weekends" she teased. Her flirty side started kicking in and she struggled as she tried not to come off too strong. She had already been awkward enough. She took his hand and shook it, flashing him a killer toothy smile. "Nice to meet you Marcus, I'm Riley. And I swear i'm not as freaky as I seem" she mentally slapped herself again. This was going great.

He leaned back in the booth, completely relaxed, despite the fact that he was sitting at a table with a girl he had never met. A complete stranger. But hey, he lived for these moments. He grinned at the girl, blue eyes sparkling with mischief. His hands locked behind him and propped his head up as he watched her, in a non creepy way. His eyelids hung down as if he was fighting off sleep, but he was perfectly attentive, and to wound up to even consider going to sleep. His blonde hair stuck out at weird angles, but he paid it no mind, his grin still on his lips, though it turned into a more lazy cheshire cat smile than anything.
Marcus smirked at her reaction when she looked up. He loved getting reactions out of people, and although he was slightly surprised by hers, he found it funny. Besides, seeing that she was alone, she looked up, and there he was, yeah, that could be a little shocking. He chuckled and arched an eyebrow in question at her reaction. Sitting up he put his elbows on the table, and rested his chin in the palms of his hands, fingers curled so they rested against his cheek bones. Blue eyes watched her curiously, as if she was some new puzzle he was trying to figure out, but his grin remained in place. The boy couldn't be serious to save his life, well, if his life was in question, he'd probably try. Knowing him though, he'd probably fail.
The teen laughed at her comment. "A pretty girl like you? I can't believe I missed you." He teased with a playful wink in her direction. Most would believe he was flirting. It might shock some of you to know that wasn't his intention. He just came off as a flirt because of the way he joked around. But it had got him in trouble with several people. It wasn't his fault people believed he was flirting! "Or fangirl-ish" He said, his grin widening. "And everyone knows it's ever guy's dream to have fangirls." Blue eyes showed his silent laughter. "Then perhaps I should wait to meet with you on weekends." He said with a laugh. "Oh contrare, lovely lady, you don't seem freaky at all."

Coming back from the register as she made her way to her table with the ranch, she slid into her booth and took a deep breath. She brushed her sidebangs out of her eyes and when she looked up to see Marcus she nearly had a heart attack, barely managing to keep her seat. Straightening back up, flushed, she smiled, embarrassed at her reaction. She had been a little too over the top, but she really had been startled. She noticed that he smirked at her and she bit her lower lip lightly and looked down and sideways nervously. She first of all wondered why he was just sitting there all of a sudden. Had he been there the whole time and she was just too oblivious to notice? She hoped not. And why would he come back? Apparently he had seen her earlier, but they hadn't spoken. Had she caught his attention or was he just bored and friendly?
"Might I ask, why did you come over to talk to me? I am a complete stranger, afterall. I could be a mass murderer" she said playfully, glancing around as if she were looking for cops and pretending to hold a gun. Resting her hand back on the table, she drummed her fingers and took another sip of her sprite. She looked at her food once, but decided she wasn't hungry anymore. It was left untouched. She watched curiously as he rested his elbows on the table and his chin on his palms, staring at her. It wasn't strange, and for some reason she began to relax as she listened to his voice. People usually didn't have this effect on her, but she would enjoy it while it lasted. There was something different about Marcus. As he studied her she felt like he was trying to figure her out, or maybe searching for something in her eyes. This had never happened before. "Looking for something?" she asked brightly.
As soon as she made things awkward, she was surprised that Marcus easily responded in a normal way. He seemed like he was really flirting, but for some reason she doubted that he really was. She started turning a little rosey when he said that she was pretty, nonetheless. She laughed softly at the wink. "Apparently you didn't miss me. Or did you just walk up to me because you had no one else to talk to? Since all of your friends are in the stores you were kicked out of" she smirked. When she said that she sounded like a stalker she was puzzled by his choice of words, and her jaw dropped in a teasing manner. "Now i'm a fan girl? That's just another form of stalking. And correct me if i'm wrong, but I do believe I just met you. It's a little too early for me to be a fan" she stuck out her tounge and laughed. A beam lit up her face at his next comment. "So you're planning on seeing me again? Hmm... I guess I might be able to have some fun now. I'll make an acception, even though it's a weekday" she giggled. "Well it's good you're not scared of me. Rawr."

The girl looked nervous when he just showed up, and it amused Marcus to no end. Not that he was trying to be cruel. But the look on her face was funny, he was fairly sure most people would agree with him. She was acting so shy, and it was sweet, he supposed, not that he really dwelled on it. Shy people weren't his thing, he wanted to be around be as loud and wacky as him. He wasn't opposed to hanging out with shyer ones though, in fact, he made it his mission to get them to open up to him and joke around like they were old buddies and had known each other all their lives. He was hoping it wouldn't be to hard for the girl to get past the 'awkward' stage. Marcus himself was already long past it. The blonde teen was never self concious, and he never thought about what other people might think of him. He did what he felt like doing, in hopes of having fun and joking around with otheres. Some people didn't take to well to his general attitdude, other times the loved hanging around him. He rubbed his jaw unconciously, it didn't hurt, but the memory of the pain was more than enough for him. You see, one of the people who hadn't taken to him to well, happened to be a rather large man who was the boyfriend of a girl Marcus was talking to. And well, his conversation came off as flirty, and the girl flirted back, not the best situation...
Marcus yanked himself out of his thoughts as the girl spoke. "A mass murder to my secret agent? I so win that one." He responded with a grin, before returning to her real question. "As I'm sure you realize, I like to talk, I saw you earlier, and TADA! I'm here." He grinned, throwing in hand movements for the 'tada'. He was a bit dramatic after all. Try a lot dramtic. "Okay, so not the best reason. But, it is one none-the-less" He grinned at her, before assuming the position with his chin on the palms of his hands. Just looking at her. Not really for any particular reason. Maybe he was trying to figure out what kind of a person she was, or maybe he was staring off into space. Regardless, he was looking at her, in a non creepy way. At her question, he smirked, eyes sparkling in jest. "Yes, but I haven't found it." He grinned, before sitting back, completely at ease.
The teen grinned as he saw her light blush. He didn't really pay it much mind though. He never noticed stuff like that, except in passing, and many people had told him he didn't know the affect he had on some girls. He denied it of course, saying they knew he was joking around. But the slaps across the face, multiple times, proved that several girls really believed him to be flirting. He smirked in reply at her comment. "But you said I'd scared you three times. I only saw you once." He pointed out briefly with a triumphant grin. "Therefor, I did miss you, twice." A self satisfied smile appeared on his lips. Bantering back and forth with someone like Riley was fun. In fact, the town was beginning to hold more promise for him. He'd already had two great conversations, one with Riley, and one with a girl called Rowan. He cracked up accidently when he realized their names both began with a 'r'. Biting his bottom lip, he shot her a sheepish grin, he hadn't meant to laugh out loud. "What? You don't think my devilish good looks would get people to join my fanclub?" He asked with a laugh, feigning an innocent expression, and trying to do puppy eyes. Marcus chuckled again when she spoke. "The day is looking up!" He exclaimed with a grin. At her next comment, he hopped over to her side of the table, and ruffled her hair with a grin. "Riley, you're more suited to be a kitten than a lion." He joked with a smile.

Riley raised an eyebrow as she studied Marcus's facial expressions and pondered over what he had just said. He had apparently claimed to have victory over something he had suddenly declared as a challenge. "We were competing? You won? Uh oh. Better call in my special league of highly trained ninja wrestler monkeys. I'm a sore loser" she grinned back at him. She liked how he never seemed to stop smiling. He seemed like a really bright and happy guy. He got in trouble a lot, she assumed, but he was always beaming. He obviously got a lot of enjoyment out of making a mess of different situations. He kind of reminded her of herself, when she wasn't being affected by her bi-polar disorder. When she was in a great mood. When she got the chance to freely and openly be herself. She envied how everyone she knew and everyone around her never had to struggle with what she fought against daily. They never got so angry they just started screaming for no reason in the middle of a mall. The tiniest things could crush her heart so much that she would spend a week locked up in her room bawling. Whenever she was sad, she went into complete depression. She had been this way ever since her mother had died. It was no joke when she said she wished that she could be normal. She would do anything to just get better again.
She shook her head before she started the waterworks, that would be a major disaster. She refused to cry infront of Marcus, since she was determined that it would scare him off. And honestly, she was beginning to really grow fond of him. She usually took a while to start getting used to someone, but she already felt comfortable around him. It was easy to forget that they were sitting in the food court at the mall. She laughed and copied his dramatic hand movements. "Tada! Well, i'm glad you are here. And there's nothing wrong with talking. I was getting pretty lonely and bored until you came around and scared the crap out of me" she smirked, playing with her hair. She either twirled her hair when she was lying, or when she liked someone and felt flirtacious. And she definately wasn't lying about saying she was glad he had come around. Riley tilted her head to the side curiously as she watched him stare at her and she felt self conscious. When she finally asked if he was looking for something, she listened as he said that he was, but he hadn't found it. She wasn't really sure how to take that, but she ended up taking it in a bad way. It started making her sad, but not enough to become depressed or anything. She sighed and closed her eyes, rubbing her temples. "Anything I can help you uncover?" she questioned, trying to calm down. The last thing she needed for him to find out was that she was bi-polar. She couldn't control herself though, and she started slightly shaking as if she were cold. She took a deep breath and bit her lower lip, hard. What was he looking for and why didn't she have it? Did he realize that he couldn't like her or something? Was she not good enough? Was she missing something important? A tear drifted down her cheek and she brushed it away hastily, hoping he hadn't noticed. A few more fell onto the table and she became frustrated. "I'm sorry, I just thought of... something sad. It wasn't you or anything."
Riley laughed quietly, trying to force back the tears again as he said that he won once more. "But you did notice me once, which means that overall you didn't miss me, so hah! I win" she announced teasingly. She noticed he grinned as she blushed, and she looked confused as he laughed, then smiled at her sheepishly. Hearing him ask if his looks weren't enough to get people to join his fanclub, she laughed. Her sadness dissapeared, just like her anger had. Suddenly. It was like a rainstorm in May. "Your looks can't get you everywhere" she stuck out her tounge. "But you are definately cute" she blurted out, then blushed and covered her mouth again, which only made it more obvious that she liked him. Already. She was so naive. She smiled at his puppy dog eyes. "Awww" she said playfully. "Well that's good, today is bound to be awesome." She looked up curiously when he jumped around to her side of the table and she ducked when he ruffled her hair. "Hey!" she laughed. She pouted when he said she was more liable to be a kitten than a lion. "Oh yeah?" She randomly hopped up and grabbed his skateboard where he had left it, an evil gleam in her eye, as she pushed off and began winding through the crowd. She actually was pretty good, but she had a short attention span sometimes. Looking back at Marcus she laughed and waved, "Maybe I wanted to be a tiger instead" she stated. She suddenly felt herself jolt forward and turned around just in time to see that she was hitting the fountain. Screaming as she flew off and flipped over the marble, she landed in the water with a splash. She instantly stood up and gasped, soaking wet, freezing. She was speechless as she shivered and her eyes were like a deer's caught in headlights. "Meow" she whispered.

He raised and eyebrow in mock challenge as he proclaimed victory over her, even though they had never been competing or anything. He was just like that, always saying or doing random things. Or things that got him into trouble, but he did it all in good fun. He gasped, eyes widening to add extra effect. He gave a mock sigh of defeat, giving her a fake sad face. "well, everyone knows nothing can beat ninja wrestler moneys." He leaned forward, putting a hand to one side of his mouth and whispered, as if it was some big secret, "and to tell you, I'm not such a great loser either." He grinned at her devilishly, blue eyes sparkling with the mischeif that he wanted to create. He refrained from doing anything, yet that is. Oh Marcus wasn't one to let something so so easily. Even something as petty as their little 'battle'. He'd get her some way or another, how, he didn't know yet, but sometime, when she didn't expect it, he'd get her. A large grin covered his lips, white teeth evident with his lips pulled tight, exposing them. Laugh lines appeared around his bluey-gray eyes as he genuinely smlie at her. Then again, it was rare that his smile was anything but genuine. Unless he was hurt, then he would fake it, so no one would ever know the difference, he was that good at masking him emotions. He didn't like serious moments.
His smile stayed firmly in place as he watched her intently. He saw her shake her head, and she seemed to be suppressing something, but he didn't know what. After all, he had only just met her, he knew barely anything about her. Except that she was pretty fun to hang around. Practically as random as him. He liked that about people, randomness always held fun. It was like baseball, excepted a certain pitch and then you get a curve ball. You don't know what to expect, and he liked that type of life. Living on the edge in a way. His eyes sparkled and he laughed loudly when she copied what he had just done with his hands. "Quite the compliments you give Riley. Honest, they're making me blush." He teased her, a smirk tilting his lips to the side. "Because I just live to sacer the 'crap out of people'" He laughed, seeing the smirk that was on her lips and almost mirroring his own to the point. He grinned when he noticed her start to squirm under his gaze, and when she finally asked him what he was looking for, he answered, teasing her yet again. He didn't mean anything seriously, and the way she had handled his previous jokes, he thought she would have realized that. Apparently not. A look of concern flashed accross his face when she started rubbing her head as if she had a headache. Her small voice reached him, not as strong as it was when they were joking back and forth. "Hey, I was just joking you know." He told her hurriedly, not liking seeing Riley so sad. He thought her sad look was horrible enough, but when he saw a tear splash down her cheek, his heart wrenched just a bit. He heard her excuse, but he didn't buy it. He reached over the table, lifting her head with a finger under her chin. With his thumb he wiped away the streaks her tears had caused. He offered her a sunny smile, before sitting back down in his seat.
Marcus grinned as she returned to normal self, or what he believed to be her normal self. He was a little shaken by how quickly she went from crying back to teasing, but he brushed it off fairly easily. "True..." He started slowly. "But you said I obviously noticed your the other times, when I didn't." He pointed out with a grin on his lips. When he complained and whined about how couldn't his looks get him a fanclub, he smiled at her with his puppy dog eyes. A triumphant smile took over his lips at her smile, not even noticing her blush after she said it. "AHA! You see, my fan club will begin to form! You just wait and see!" He grinned at her in a childish manner, laughing at his own antics. "Of course today is going to be awesome! Cause we're both totally awesome people!" He yelled with a smile, gaining odd looks from those surrounding them. Not that he cared, in fact he paid them little to no mind at all. He laughed as he messed up her hair, gloating over her cowering frame in a teasing manner. He raised and eyebrow when she spouted out a challenge. He hopped up quickly when she stole his skate board. "Get back here!" He yelled after her good naturedly. He watched her, slightly impressed by how well she was able to manuever his board. He started to tell her she better watch where she was going, when she turned around and yelled at him. He grinned at what she said, but the grin disappeared when he heard a splash. Seeing his board lying innocently beside the fountain, and Riley standing, soaking wet. He was only a few seconds behind her, now he stood in front of her laughing at her forzen expression. The meow she uttered made him laugh harder. He took of his hoodie, "Come here, my Riley Cat." He grabbed her and wrapped her up in it. "Now you know better than to steal my skate board." He teased softly.

Riley leaned back in the booth and rose her arms up into the air, stretching as she let out a soft yawn. She wasn't tired, but the afternoon heat from the skylight overhead was making her lazy. Arching her back for the finale of her stretch, she returned to a normal sitting position and straightened up. Watching and listening to Marcus as he gasped and pretended to be defeated, she smirked. Riles blinked a few times to refocus her vision as a cloud rested over the roof and laughed. "Ninja wrestler monkeys are pretty beast" she agreed. As he leaned forward she looked up at him, noticing how tall he was. He looked like he was over six feet, and there was was, only standing at five feet, three inches. It made her smile. "You're so much taller than midget me" she stated randomly, giggling. She curiously grinned when he said he wasn't such a great loser either. She doubted he would give up that easily though, but she never knew. She caught the mischevious sparkle in his enchanting blue eyes and she was instantly suspicious. She noticed that he was still smiling at her, and she smiled back. IT was nice to know that he was really enjoying her company, or so she assumed. And he wasn't pretending to smile either. He was a pretty great guy, judging by what she knew about him so far. He was definately exciting and intriguing.
When Riley mirrored his 'Ta-Da!' movements, she grinned at him as he laughed loudly. She rolled her eyes playfully when he said that she gave good compliments and that he was blushing. "Blushing is only when your cheeks turn red because you like someone, or you're embarrassed, or someone said something nice about you. Not when your face turns red because you've been smiling and laughing so much that your cheeks are going to hurt for a week" she teased, sticking her tounge out again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with smiling or laughing though, and she hoped he didn't get the wrong message. She smirked back at him, but she started to get upset when he said that he hadn't found what he was looking for her. She didn't really take the time to assess the situation and what he really meant by those words. It was pretty obvious that he had been joking, but she had already started crying by the time she had figured it out. That was the thing about being bi-polar, she never really got the chance to think about something before she reacted. Her feelings got ahold of her more often than not. She just wished she could change that. Riley reminded herself to stop complaining, at least she was glad that no one else had to suffer for the disorder in her place. She saw that he looked concerned and she felt bad, pulling away from rubbing her temples. "Yeah, I know, I'm sorry..." she sighed. "I'm really sorry" she repeated. She looked down and said that was was thinking about something sad, but she felt like she needed to tell him more than that. She wasn't sure if she was ready to say she was bi-polar, though. Feeling him lift up her head she met his eyes, looking apologetic. She smiled softly when he wiped away her tears. "Umm... if you're planning on sticking around with me then I think you should know something about me. It's better not to try and hide it. I'm really emotional, a lot of the time. I get angry for no reason and start screaming, and when someone says the smallest thing, I start crying. I just get so frustrated with myself. Promise me you won't start watching what you say or acting different or anything, I can handle it. Just be yourself, like normal. But...." she took a deep breath and tried not to choke on her words. This was a big deal for her. "I'm bi-polar" she said quietly.
Trying to stop feeling bad for herself, she started acting like normal again. She could tell he was a little confused, and she was glad she had explained why she was different. Riley actually laughed at Marcus's reply as he refused to lose. "Nuh uh! I said that you noticed me that once, which, in general, means that you did notice me. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. Sure, you missed me twice, but you did notice me" she argued back, smirking. She complimented him and blushed, then cracked up when he acted like a young child and claimed that he would definately have a fanclub someday. "Dream on" she laughed. He yelled that they were both awesome and she nodded and giggled as people stared at him. He walked over and messed up her hair and she slunk back, then roared at him and jumped up competitively, hopping on his skateboard and kicking off. She laughed as he told her to come back, though she soon regretted not listening. Falling into the fountain she spit water out of her mouth and looked around to see a bunch of people staring at her, which made her blush. At least she didn't see mall security yet. Standing up, she looked shocked, and she playfully glared at Marcus, pretending to be angry. Maybe she'd scare him, since she had just told him she screamed when she got mad. Meowing only made him laugh harder. "Don't hurt yourself" she rolled her eyes and shivered, getting an idea. She stepped out of the fountain, leaving a trail of water behind her as she pranced over to him and hugging him, then wrung out her hair on the ground. She grinned evilly, but then smiled at him sincerely when he grabbed her and wrapped her in his hoodie, which he had just taken off. She gave him a dry hug and smiled, blushing. "Thanks, Marcus" she said. "Nah, that just teaches me to watch where i'm going, and preferably get you to teach me how to skateboard before I steal your board again" she grinned. "A little accident like that won't make me give up!"

He cracked up when she commented on his height. He didn't usually noticed how tall he was, it was just something he was used to and never thought about. But now that she said it, he looked at her. She could be but a few inches taller than five foot. He grinned at her, laughing still. "You are a bit of a munchkin." He teased good naturedly. Making it clear that he wasn't trying to insult her, after all, she was the one who brought to light their height differences. Then again, everyone else probably noticed, Marcus just didn't look at small details. Even if the small detail happened to be the fact that the person he was currently hanging out with was more than a several inches shorter than him. He grinned at her, for some reason, liking the sound of her giggling. He blinked slowly for a second... What the heck was going on? He cleared his mind, shaking his head lightly, before glancing back at Riley with a smile playing with the corners of his lips. seeing her smile back at him sent a jolt through him, which fueled his confusion, but he pushed the feeling away and tried to keep it that way. Riley was fun to be around, and he couldn't think of anything he'd rather be doing than sitting here and just joking around with her. This was definitely one of the highlights of his relatively dull week. Only two encounters with people had been fun, the other's were, well, boring.
Marcus feigned a look of offence. "My cheeks are red? Oh the horror!" He exclaimed, loudly, once again, people looked in their general direction. He merely grinned at them, and then, true to his nature, yelled across "Hey there! How ya doing?" All the people who had been looking at them, hurriedly directed their attention elsewhere, obviously not wanting to associate with the 'weird teenage boy'. He chuckled in response to their reaction. He gave Riley a satisfied and rather lazy smirk, blue gray eyes hooded slightly, but still sparkling and showing he was anything but tired. "Somehow, I don't think I'm going to have people volunteering to sign up for that aforementioned fan club" he drawled with a mischevious smile on his lips. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And end the fun time did. With apparently a careless remark from the surfer boy, which ended up with a pretty girl in tears. Good going, Marcus! He looked at her worriedly. He hadn't meant it the way that had sounded. Good grief, he should know by now that some girls are just sensitivie to remarks like that. Wait, remarks like what? What exactly had caused her to break into tears? He thought back to what he had said, that he hadn't found what he was looking for. Marcus being... well, Marcus, he still didn't understand why she was in tears. He tried to comfort her, reaching and brushing away her tears and speaking softly, before sitting back down again. "There's your smile." He said softly, when she finally gave him a smile, when he wiped her teards away. "Bi-polar?" He asked her curiously. Not frustrated, unhappy, or even shocked by the announcement. She had no control over it, so he stopped analyzing why she had started crying. It probably didn't have anything to do with what he had said. Maybe she really did think of something said. "No big deal" He siad with a reasurring grin, showing her that he wasn't goign to judge her for something such as having something that she had no choice over. He smiled at her calmly, he was perfectly fine with this, it didn't change his opinion of her. She was still fun, adorable Riley. W-wait, what? Where'd the adorable come from? He shook his head again, he was seriously losing it.
He rolled his eyes at her response. "Fine, you win." He crossed his arms and pouted in a childish manner. With a sparkle in his eye, he glanced up and at her food, befeore reaching over and snatching something from her plate and munching on it. "Much better, I haven't eaten in a whole two hours!" He said, with a smirk. Completely unrepentant for stealing her food. He mock glared at her after she laughed at him. "Are you telling me that I won't have a fan club one day?" He demanded. "You really know how to crush a guy's spirit, Riley." He tried to stay with a serious face, but ended up laughing anyway. So much for making his 'act' believable. It was so easy to tell that he was joking, it almost wasn't funny. He jumped a little when she practically yelled out a competition, and raced off with his board. He watched with amusement on his face. Chasing after her and yelling. But when she ended up in the fountain, that was almost to funny. He stood there, laughing in front of her as she stood shivering, completely soaked. "You don't scare me, kitty cat" He asnwered with a smug grin. He watched her warily when she jumped out of the fountain. Gasping from the cold, wet feel when she hugged him. "Riles!" He yelped, unchariterastically. "Now we're both cold" He exclaimed, but his usual grin tugged at his lips. But still, he was nice, and wrapped her up in his hoodie, allowing her to be the warm one of the pair. "Or before you break my board and your neck." He corrected with a smirk. "But maybe I should teach you to skateboard." He smiled down at her, suddenly aware of their proximity. Startled, he let her go and stepped back. "Want to head to the park? I can teach you there..." He asked, rubbing his neck awkwardly.
Perhaps post your reply in the park?
