The music was loud, the night was dark, as it was on the inside of the dance club. Amethyst eyes stared out of the darkness in a corner, as the young male sketched out what was on his mind. The subject of his drawing was on the other side of the club, two young women and a young male, one woman sucking on the male's ear, the other kissing his lips. Of course, all three were over 18, but, darnnit, he had needs too. He continued to sketch a rather vulgar and, dirty, to young people's eyes, drawing with his drawing/sketching and shading pencils, and his sketch pad, his legs were crossed, and his eyebrows furrowed as he continued to sketch with furious vigor, he then sighed as he was half finished with his drawing, half done in five minutes, could you believe it? And, he was skilled enough, it only took about 20 minutes for him to draw a fully detailed picture while sketching fast. he paused momentarily to drink his taquilla. Then went back to sketching. He would probably sell this drawing in a few days when he got tired of looking at it. When he finished his drawing, he closed the drawing pad, tucked the encils away into his little pencil holder, and stuffed it all into his bag.
After finishing his drink, he walked out of the dance club. He managed to get about three blocks away before he was surrounded by muggers. He tried to ignore them and walk on, but the leader of the little gang stopped him and said "Where do you think you're going, pretty boy?" he asked as he took out a knife. Axel merely glanced at the knife, then smirked. And as the man charged at him, he ducked under his arm, then kicked him directly in the kmiddle of the back, the man flew forward, and landed on his knife. He was dead after a moment or two. And Axel looked up, his amethyst eyes were wide and he had a homicidal-maniac looking grin on his face the other men muttered aongst themselves, then as Axel took out a colt .45 handgun and aimed it at one of the men, they all turned tail and ran. He snorted and stuffed the gun back into his pocket. "Fools, wasn't even loaded..." he said softly to himself se continue to walk back home.

;; After learning that her father was really the only person she truly hated, the world seemed to collapse upon itself, and then rebuild. Though all the pieces didn't quite fit together correctly, it seemed a bit of a happier place. Ana had stopped hating Ivan, how could she still bear to hate him? Although he was a horrible person, and a monster, he was her father. Now, Illiana hoped that maybe since the secret had come out, that he would start to realize that the world wasn't out to get him, and in turn, become a better person. The hopes were futile, and most likely never to come true, but they were hopes. Even after hating the person she didn't know was her father, and after he made life living hell for the one person she did love, she sincerely hoped he was on the road to change. If that happened, then anything in the world could. After leaving the Police Headquarters, she silently vowed to herself not to let any more tears be shed over Ivan. He was who he was, and if he changed, well, then he changed.
;; Even facing the facts had not cleared Illiana's head completely, and she had set out on a walk, bound for who-knows-where. She carried her cell-phone in her jeans pocket, and a light-weight black jacket sat upon her charcoal gray shirt. She wandered in no certain direction, though still steering clear from alley-ways. As Ana turned her head to the side, she realized that she had brought herself to the coffee shop where she and Dmitri reuinted, and the thought brought a smile to her face. It stayed on her face, even as she turned down the road towards the dance club, just following her feet, and wherever they were destined to take her.
;; Shouts were heard from somewhere she couldn't see, but they were loud, so they were close. A sharp moan pierced the air, and then, men scattered, all too busy running to notice the lone Ana. Although her heart started pounding, she rose an eyebrow, curiously wondering what had caused such a disturbance in the cool autumn night. Her head obviously wasn't clear, as at any normal time, she would have turned, and walked the opposite direction. Instead, she stood where she was, and then continued to walk the way the men had run from. Another lone figure detached itself from the shadows, but Ana did not slow her pace, just continued to walk, wondering curiously who the person was.

Axel stopped when he heard footsteps coming toward him and looked up, only seeing a young woman. He tilted his head, stopping completely merely about four or nfive yards from her. You could -barely- see the outlining of his face. And, for the first time in a long while, he spoke, his accent fluently heavy with German accent. "Who are you?" he asked, and, even though his voice seemed heavy and somewhat deep, it was soft, and -just- barely carried above a fairly loud whisper. Though, the night was relatively silent after that particular fiasco that had happened not five minutes before. He approached, cautiously, up to her. Then stood straight as his back had been -slightly- crooked from the entire night of leaning over drawings. He stopped about five feet in front of her, watching her cautiously, as though afraid it was an ambush or something of the like.

;; Before the figure spoke, Ana tilted her cranium to the side slightly, quite curious about what had just happened. She was going to ask the question, but it seemed that the person had beat her to speak. His voice was heavy with an accent, though she couldn't quite tell what it was. Definately not Russian, of course. She could probably pick up a Russian one in a crowd of a hundred people. The voice was hard to hear, and it took her a moment to understand what he was asking, even though it was a pretty basic question. "I'm Illiana Thorneblade," she said. You wouldn't normally ask someone you see on the street, especially during the evening, but the person did, and Ana felt complied to answer. Why the person was barely speaking over a whisper though, she didn't understand.
;; He came closer, to about the distance of five feet, but Ana didn't feel threatened in the least. He didn't sound dangerous, and his body language wasn't giving off any threat, quite the opposite. He seemed to be... cautious, of her? She definately didn't look threatening. For goodness sakes, she was 5'4. "So... what was all that about?" she asked, gesturing with a hand towards where all the scattered men had appeared, and the one before her as well. She raised an eyebrow, hoping to give the person, a man, by the sound of it, that she was quite curious to be given an accurate answer.

"Vhat Vas..." he started to repeat, then registered what it was that she was asking. "Oh, Zat." is what it -sounded- like he was saying, but if you understood people with a german accent, you would know exactly what he was saying. "Um, Zey attacked me, I defended myzelf, and now, one of zem is dead, by accident of course, fell on his knife, and ze ozers have run avay." He said, now you could -tell- he was German. If you understood English-speaking-German-people speech, you would know exactly what he was saying. Other people would find it somewhat difficult to understand him, but, if you studied German accents, you'd realize it wasn't -that- difficult to understand. He then bit on the back of one of his fingers, after smacking his forehead. Now he realized he really -shouldn't- have told her that, but, hopefully, she hadn't understood him.

;; Illiana noticed there was an extremely heavy accent in his voice, much more than Dmitri's when she first met him, and it took her a moment to sort out the words. She didn't know what the accent was, but there was a speech pattern that she picked up on. Many v's and z's, for t's and w's influenced his speech, and she had to admit, she liked it. Of course all accents were fascinating, and every one had their own special flair. As the man continued to speak, Ana realized what had just happened, and her eyes grew slightly rounder. Apparently, one had just been murdered, or as the person in front of her claimed, had died. It took her a moment to pick apart the sentence, and then she understood most of what had happened.
;; "So they attacked you?" Ana wanted to clear up. Why was she even standing here talking to this person? He had just... well... witnessed a person falling upon what happened to be their own knife, and then the rest of the little gang just got scared and ran away? Honestly... it didn't sound very plausible at all. What could have this stranger done in protecting himself that made a bunch of other people just run away, tails between their legs? "Is that what happened?" she asked, keeping out the word really, but the tone of voice she was using pretty much demanded an answer, and a truthful one at that.

Axel, merely nodded, he really didn't know how else to word it other than that. It was true that they had attacked him, and that the man had died on accident. And, all he had done was pull out an unloaded gun and aim it at one of the mens' heads. Honestly, how was that not defending yourself, or even not true for that matter? He sighed softly, realizing this person would never understand him, and, he couldn't say that the man had died on accident and have it sound true when all he had done was shove the man away who had fallen over and landed on his own knife. But, how to explain such a thing without sounding like a homicidal maniac or a murderer? He sighed once more, trying to walk around her and not get himself into any more trouble than he already was, he was just going to walk away nice and slow, if she wanted to follow him, it was fine with him, if not, so be it. He had his head down and staring at the sidewalk as he continued to walk. What was possibly next, he'd probably find a hundred dollar bill and trade it in for more art supplies.

;; Ana watched as the man nodded his head, and then a light flickered across the street. She caught the purple of his orbs, and a slight intake of breath came from her. Purple? That was a very unusual color, and was it even possible? Did he have contacts? As he tried to get past her, the thought of her just standing where she was, and letting him go was the first idea. Yet, what was the fun in that? As the man with the purple eyes tried to get past her, she stepped in front of her, something between a smile and a smirk on her face. "I didn't quite catch your name, Sir. Purple Eyes." she mentioned, inclined to stay in his path until her other question was answered. Gosh, nosy much?

At first, he was more than happy to just keep walking. But when she stepped in front of him, he stopped, and stepped back one foot or so, so that he didn't run into her. He blinked, tilting his head as she asked for his name. "I Am Axel Van Deriz." He said softly, he smiled a bit, more than content to be on his way. "and Zey, thechnically, are not purple, zey are Amethyst." He said, smiling at her as he, once again, tried to step around her. He figured she may have just been teasing him is why she had stepped in front of him. But, if she were teasing him, was she just being playful? O was this something a -little- more serious? He didn't know much more than art, he barely knew wrong from right, all he knew was that if she followed him, he would be the happiest guy in the world, because he would know that someone actually cared enough to make sure he was OK.

;; As the person stepped back, Ana let a soft smile whisk across her face. Good, so obviously he wasn't a murderer, or a psychopath, or something kooky like that. "I'm Ana." she said, not really bothering to give her full name. Thorneblade didn't seem to fit her anymore, well, she thought of that to herself, and Illiana sounded like something Ivan would call her. So, Ana was practically the only chance left, and that's what Dmitri called her, so it was even better. "Aren't amethyst and purple practically the same thing? Except amethyst is a stone?" she questioned, not acting like herself. As he tried to step around her once again, she blocked him easily, just simply mirroring his steps. Wow, what fun this was.
;; Still short, my bad. D:

Axel smiled and stepped back again when she blocked him once more. "Yes, you said zat..." He said, reffering to her name. "Amethyst is brighter and prettier zan purple..." He continued. "And, vhy do you keep blocking me?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. He was -just- a bit weirded out that she wouldn't leave him alone, perhaps she liked him? Hmm, no, perhaps not, it didn't seem like any normal person would -suddenly- develop feelings for someone they had just met on the street.

;; As Axel caught that she had already said her name, she shook her head slightly. "That was my full name, I perfer to be called Ana," she said. Then he commented on her account of his eyes, and Ana just shrugged in return. She let a smile fall over her features when he asked why she kept blocking him, and pretty much without thinking, she said, "You don't like seem very... right after that ordeal, and I'm pretty much wondering if you were okay." Ana wondered briefly what she was doing, talking to this odd guy that had just come from a fight scene, and that had purple eyes. Perhaps she would walk him to his home, to make sure he got there safely, and so that none of those creeps came back that ran frantically out of the shadows.

Axel smiled at her concern. "I'm fine... I'm just a little shooken up..." He said softly, he hoped that she would walk him to his home. Maybe he could show her around inside? Wouldn't be too bad. He then sighed and asked "You want to... go get something to eat or something sometime?" he asked softly, smiling hopefully. He knew she'd probably decline, but, it was worth a shot. She was kinda pretty, so, why wouldn't he ask her to go out with him sometime? He then sighed when he realized how much like an idiot he sounded like and said "You don't have to say yes if you don't want to..." he said softly. He knew he was probably pushing his luck with this, but, well, it was deffinately worth a try. He then sighed and lowered his head, realizing: he was an idiot.

;; At his word, shooken, she let out a small laugh, wondering if the word was a version of shaken from wherever Axel had come from, or whether it was just a mistake. Whatever way it was, laughing was a normal part of life, so hopefully he wouldn't ask why she was indeed, laughing. Axel seemed to be a very nice guy, despite the interesting choice of clothes. The next question she was shot, Ana did not anticipate at all, and it took a moment for it to sink in. She resisted the urge to ask him if he was asking her out, but just smiled, and said, "As a friend, I would love to." Another thought crossed her mind, Dmitri was going to be angry... maybe not so much that she agreed to spending time with someone she had literally just met a couple minutes ago, on a street. But hey, the poor guy looked like he really needed a friend, and that's what prompted Ana into talking to him the first time.

Axel smiled, yeah, he would settle for a friend, for now. "OK, umm, Vhen are you free to go out?" He asked, tilting his head at her so that he looked -somewhat- like an adorably confused puppy dog. "Ana, I can tell you and I are going to be... how you say, good friends..." He said, not only were his eyes pretty, but his smile was kind of cute too. And, you had to admit, he was very good looking. Surprisingly better looking than a lot of guys in this town, perhaps he and Z were about the same with the good looking status, but... ((Shorter than normal, sorry...))
