Author¡¦s Note:
Hello, dear friends. If you are reading this book, chances are you want a few things: an incredibly sexy read told from the point of view of two /supposed/ enemy worlds, a Fictional look at Romance in the Historical Era of WWII, or, you just wanted to read something about the Holocaust that wasn't all humans fighting for dominance and killing one another just for that purpose. Well, whichever your reason, you've picked the right book. This book is a historical fantasy based read, yes, I said ¡¥Historical fantasy.¡¦ Which basically means it's not a boring life-long dedication to any one specific soldier or prisoner in WWII that actually happened, nor is it based in any mythological area or state of mind, it may have a talking animal or two, and a slight dash of magical chance encounters with different creatures, but the main plot of this story: it¡¦s a fiction-based turning point in the way anyone who reads this book looks at WWII again. The main characters¡¦ profiles are as follows:
Axel Van Deriz:
Nazi Soldier
Rescues the second main character from the ¡¥Death Chamber¡¦ by making up an excuse as to why she isn¡¦t to go into the Death Chamber
Human
Despite being a Nazi, you¡¦ll find that he¡¦s quite different from the rest of them. Such being: he¡¦s tolerant of everyone, he would never kill or harm a soul in anyway unless they tried to hurt him first.
Falls in love with the second main character
Physical description: About 6¡¦1¡¨, 145 lbs., is good with a sword /and/ a gun, black hair, amethyst eyes, quite good looking, charismatic, and looks weaker than he really is.
Personality: he¡¦s very different from any other Nazi in the ways being that he has a very sweet disposition,
Short version of story: when the second main character offers him a flower, as no other prisoner had ever done for him, she immediately wins his heart, and thus, he is awoken to the senseless killings of Jews and almost everyone else, and so, without a second thought, he rescues her from the Death Chamber where she was about to be sent when she gave him the flower, and takes her with him after resigning. The rest of their relationship, you¡¦ll have to read on to learn about.
Jezabelle M.:
Jewish Prisoner
Is rescued by Nazi soldier, Axel Van Deriz, and thus dedicates her entire life to staying by his side and protecting him
Weredragon
Weredragons are not like you think: they are not demons, because if they were, how could they possibly have an actual religion? And, unlike werewolves, they only change at will rather than the full moon, Jezabelle will only transform when she deems the situation necessary.
Falls in love with Axel
Physical Description: about 5¡¦8¡¨, 128 lbs., has a mean bite, reddish brown hair, sapphire blue eyes, cute and pretty, especially when she pulls that ¡¥Puppy dog¡¦ look she uses to get away with some things, beautiful, stronger than she lets you on that she is.
Personality: Kind, loving, considerate, and fairly well manageable.
Short version of story: Just before being sent to the Death chamber, she gives Axel Van Deriz a flower, but not just any flower, an incredibly rare and beautiful flower called a ¡¥Dragon¡¦s Lilly¡¦ and thus wins his heart, and after Axel rescues her from the Death chamber, she dedicates her life to loving and protecting him.
Now, I am not claiming that any of the content in this book actually happened, as I¡¦m not old enough to know (or even remember) if it did or not. But like I said, this book is Historical Fantasy-based, and has very little if anything, in it¡¦s content that links to any actual events. But it ¡Vdoes- prove that with a simple act of kindness or caring, something great will happen in your life. With a simple act of kindness, a life may change, a simple act of letting someone know you care can be as great as signing a world peace declaration. And, if you use them together, you might find there¡¦s a completely different side to ¡Vany- story. You may now turn the page and begin reading. Hope you enjoy it. ƒº
Prologue
World War Two. We all remember how it went, and for those of us who don¡¦t remember, we have history to teach us. I know of one such story that happened during the holocaust of WWII, you can believe it, or you don¡¦t have to. Either way, the story I want to tell you has a certain meaning. I am Axel Van Deriz, and I was serving the Nazi army in the beginning of this story, and the simplest act of kindness changed my life forever, I almost died for her, I rescued her, and, soon enough, we were free to live the rest of our lives together. But, alas, nothing lasts forever. She died in my arms, trying to protect me, but, the one thing about weredragons is that, no matter the consequence, they¡¦ll always go down fighting to protect those they love, and that¡¦s what I loved so much about her, it was on that day that I realized: I had feelings, I was not a stone-cold emotionless Nazi officer with no purpose in life but to kill Jewish people and serve under Adolf Hitler forever, no. I was human, I had feelings, I suffered loss, and, I was mortal. Now, as I sit here wondering what I could have done to save her, what else I could have done, I also realize: things we love and lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not ¡Valways- in the ways we expect or hope for¡K what do I mean? You¡¦ll find out soon enough¡K but for now, enjoy this tear-jerking collection of memoirs from the back of my mind as I tell you mine and her, story.
Chapter One
Captured and Recruited
Jezabelle, such a beautiful girl. Such a sweet hearted, kind young girl. She was taken from her parents at a young age, and forced to work in a Jewish slave factory for twenty years, hard work being so strenuous, it distorted her back so severely that it forced her into a four-legged position all the time, She walked like a dog, on four complete legs, but with her back legs back to a point she ¡Vlooked- like a four-legged beast. But, after a while, I would learn to live with this, I found ways to get around her four-legged posture, I found ways to make love to her and not need to worry about it, it took a good deal of time to figure it out as well as experimenting with different styles, but I figured it out. Hell, I even found ways to get her to stick with me all through my trials and hardships. And so, the first day we met, she looked tired, I decided to mind my own business and just ignore her. I had not shown any emotion towards a prisoner in my life, and thought that I was not about to start doing so. Oh, how I was wrong. One morning, about three months before I had first ¡Vactually- met her, I received a letter in my mail saying that I had been selected to join the Nazis, I was twenty then, so young, so passionate for my own country¡¦s pride and freedom, but, I would soon realize that my country was not the one being mistreated, for even as I read the letter, Adolf Hitler was killing hundreds of Jews an hour. Back then I wouldn¡¦t have been bothered as much as I am now by the thought of it, but now, I am sickened at the very idea of prejudice and other such Nazi behavior against ¡Vanyone.- All this change in attitude thanks to a female Jewish Weredragon, who stole my heart merely ten minutes before she was scheduled to be killed, and, having been changed in record time by a creature that was the last of her kind, I rescued her, and took her to a country far away from Germany, hoping to find her a mate of her own kind, with which, my attempts would prove to be futile. I would learn soon enough that she was, indeed, the very last of her kind. And so, after reading the letter, I packed my bags, and left for the army camp. I was trained for ¡Vnearly- three gruesome months, never stopping to rest, never complaining, I rarely had ever spoken as it was, but now, I was almost always silent. I had found not long after arriving at a certain Nazi prisoner camp which I will not mention, what they were doing to Jews here: experimenting different poisons, drugs, and other such on them, just to study their effects. I, luckily, was not posted at this job, but was instead positioned as a Gate guard. I was to guard the gates to make sure no prisoners escaped. Then, one day, something extraordinary happened. Someone walked up to me, though not in any normal way I had ever seen, she walked up to me on four legs, as though she were some type of four-legged animal. I would later find out why this was. She came up to me and I gripped my gun, as though preparing to shoot. But, she didn¡¦t make a break for it, nor did she attack me, instead, she reached into her small bag at her side, pulling out an odd, yet beautiful, looking flora, and got up only slightly into a semi-sitting position, and reached up, handing me the flower, which, I took, in spite of being trained not to except such feeble gifts from prisoners. But as I looked at the flower, I realized: this girl was on the list of the next people to be killed, I knew that because it read her ID# and time of scheduled death. My eyes softened as I looked at the flower and watched her walk, in her odd way, away. And I sighed, looking at the flower again, and I gently placed the flower in my bag, waiting until she had left before I decided what I would do next: go after her and rescue her, or let her be killed and simply ignore her as I was trained to do. I decided she was just too sweet a girl to allow to be killed, who cared what any of the others thought? Any person, or creature for that matter, with a soul, deserved to live. So, I jogged, after placing my gun back onto my strap at my back, toward the Death Chamber, where every Jewish person was scheduled to be tested on, and, eventually, killed. I snuck around to the front, making sure not to be seen by any of the higher-ranked officers who would possibly figure out what I was doing. And now, at the front, I saw her, she was three people away from going into the chamber next. So, calmly, I walked into the office where the chamber¡¦s guards were inspecting the next people to go in, making sure they didn¡¦t have anything to protect themselves with. I walked up to the desk and said ¡§Excuse me,¡¨ The officer behind the desk, who was one or two levels lower than me, looked up at me, and asked ¡§Yes, Sir?¡¨ ¡§What time does that one go in?¡¨ I asked, motioning to the four legged girl who was currently on all fours once more. ¡§She goes in, in about five minutes¡K¡¨ ¡§And what do I have to do to make sure she isn¡¦t harmed?¡¨ ¡§Why do you ask, sir?¡¨ ¡§I have a very interesting message for you, from General Hitler himself.¡¨ The officer looked at me, questioningly. ¡§And he said?¡¨ He asked, and I replied ¡§He said that due to good behavior, I am able to have a sex slave in my quarters and I choose that one, she is unique, I can tell¡K¡¨ I said and looked toward the girl, giving her a reassuring wink, which, anyone who didn¡¦t know better, would swear it was a sexual gesture. The officer nodded, ¡§I see¡K¡¨ He said and motioned for the other officers who were currently investigating the girl, to bring her forward. ¡§Listen, girl,¡¨ the officer said, ¡§No matter what this man requests of you, you are to do it, do you understand?¡¨ He said sternly. The girl, who I later named Jezabelle because she never spoke so I never learned her true name, nodded slightly, keeping her eyes closed as she had learned not to make any eye contact with certain officers. The officer then grabbed a collar and a chain from the desk clipping the chain to the collar, and fastening the collar around her neck, then handed me the chain-like leash. I walked out of the building with the girl following close behind. She was now captured and recruited, captured by my love and protection, and recruited of her own free will, I could see in her eyes, the very expression you would expect from someone whom you¡¦d just saved the life of. The expression that read ¡¥I will protect ¡Vyou- for this kind gesture from now on.¡¦ She didn¡¦t speak the words, but I knew her heart was almost screaming it¡¦s thanks to me, I knew what her expression read, not just because I had rescued her, but, for the first time in my life, I felt a feeling I never would have imagined I could ¡Vever- feel: I felt love.
