Riley smiled as she watched Marcus start laughing when she mentioned their height difference. It personally didn't matter to her one bit, but she had noticed and had decided to bring it up. When they were both standing up straight, she estimated that he would be about an entire foot taller than her. Twelve whole inches. She hoped he didn't mind sticking around with a shorty, though she highly doubted he would care in the least. She noticed him look at her and study just how short she was, then he grinned and said that she was a bit of a munchkin. Riley laughed and shrugged, "Yeah, there's no denying that, but it only means i'm better at fitting into small places. I'm unbeatable at hide and seek!" she giggled. Riley noticed Marcus shake his head as if he were trying to clear his thoughts. At least that was why she shook her head, usually. Once again, she was dying to know what he was thinking. As she watched him she started thinking about how cute and charming and funny he was. Gosh, she was hopeless. She never had really accepted being 'just friends' with someone she liked, and she was really falling for Marcus. She was pretty sure that he only liked her as a friend, though. He probably had a girlfriend already, anyways. The though made her heart wince. That was the worst possible scenario, she guessed. That and if he didn't like her back. She didn't handle rejection well. She just hoped they could at least remain friends.
Riley crossed one leg over the other and tilted her head to the side curiously again as he blinked slowly, as if dazed. Had she said or done something? She began to retrace her steps mentally until five minutes ago, but she didn't think her behavior was unusual. He smiled at her after a few seconds and she smiled back warmly. She thought she saw a glimmer of confusion in his eyes, and she became a little more aware of her movements. Teasing him about his cheek color, she laughed as he pretended to look offended, because she knew he was just joking around. She saw people staring over at them and wondered why they were attracting so much public attention. She snapped her head back around towards Marcus when she heard him call out to the people and she smirked and rolled her eyes, beaming. "I think they're all just nosey" she said, reaching across the table and poking him playfully. "And you are loud, afterall." Riles giggled when he looked satisfied, but then saying he didn't think people would sign up for his fan club. Her smile quickly faded as she struggled to keep it upon her lips after he said that he hadn't found what he was looking for. She was a wreck, and she hated every bit of it. She did find a little relief in his eyes, seeing that he looked like he cared. She pulled herself together and smiled at him once more when he wiped away her tears. She smiled wider when he annouced that her smile was back. She explained that she was bi-polar and took a deep breath, hoping she wouldn't scare him off. He actually just questioned her about it and sounded curious. She sighed loudly and smiled, so relieved that he wasn't freaked out or shocked or anything of the sort. When he said it was no big deal and laughed. "You have no idea how glad I am that you don't think differently of me. Just try not to run away if you ever see how much of a temper I have. I'm pretty intimidating" she grinned. He shook his head again and she looked curious, as before.
"Yes! I win!" Riley clapped enthusiastically, teasing him about failing to come out on top in their conversational argument. She tried out her puppy dog face like he had earlier when he pouted. Sticking out her lower lip and looking sad, her chocolate orbs large. She ran her fingers through a few curls that rested on her shoulder absentmindedly. She threw her head back and snickered when he took some of her food, though she didn't care. She hadn't touched it herself. At least somebody wasn't letting it all go to waste. "That'll be five bucks. Hope it was worth it" she held out her hand, palm facing upwards. Grinning, she withdrew her hand and rested it back on the table. "Just kidding." She giggled when he fake glared at her and she blew him a kiss playfully. "Aww, don't worry. I'll be the head of your fanclub" she promised, smiling. The next moment she had stolen his skateboard and crashed into a fountain. She rolled her eyes when he said she didn't scare him. "This kitty has claws" she wrinkled up her nose cutely and jogged over to give him a hug. When she got him wet she cracked up, smiling as he called her by her nickname for the first time. It sounded sweet coming from him, she liked it. "My bad" she giggled, looking at him gratefully as he bundled her in his sweatshirt. She felt slightly guilty now. Declaring that she was going to learn to skateboard, she laughed when he said that she needed to before she broke his board or her neck. "I noticed that you did mention your board before my neck" she winked mockingly. Riley smiled eagerly when he said that maybe he should teach her to skateboard. More time to spend with him. She was surprised at how dissapointed she was when he noticed how close they were and he let go of her and the jacket. She also noticed that he took a step backwards, and she visibly frowned. "I don't have cooties or rabies or whatever, I promise" she said, then blushed akwardly. She bit her lip and looked down. "The park sounds great. Here." She reached into his jacket pocked and fished out his cell phone, which she just had a feeling would be there. Jogging back to the table to her her purse quickly, she grabbed her phone and text herself from this phone so she had his number. She then stored her number in his contacts. "There!" she smiled triumphantly. "I'll meet you there. See you later, skater." She turned and walked towards the exit, forcing herself to refrain from looking back so that she could make a smoother dissapearance.
Arriving at the park, Riley hopped out of her car and shut the door behind her, wandering along the pathway towards the swingsets. She had stopped at her house on the way to the park so that she could change into dry clothes. She was now wearing bright hot pink jean shorts, a black rocker tee with gold rhinestone letters spelling out the word 'peace', knee high pink, black, and grey socks, and black echo sneakers which somewhat resembled converse. Walking past a few children, she smiled. She had just noticed that she still had Marcus's hoodie. She slipped it back on and pranced over to the playground, sitting on a swing and gently rocking back and forth slightly with the breeze. It was an absolutely beautiful day outside, there were thin wispy white clouds overhead in the bright baby blue sky. People were around laughing and having a good time, spending time with their families. Riles sighed, she used to come to the park with her mother until she had gotten into the car accident. She had moved away from home because she couldn't look at her father anymore without crying, so she lived by herself now, with her pets. She felt lonely sometimes, so she spent most of her days at the stables though. But now she had met Marcus, and she knew herself well enough to know that she liked him more than she thought she would. More than she should. Once again, a wave of hopelessness washed over her. "I'm pathetic" she whispered, waiting for Marcus to arrive.

He smirked at her when she declared that she was better at hide and seek because of her height. Marcus looked at her with a small smile on ihs lips, not hi s usual full grin. He liked being around riley. She made everything seem fun. He laughed at himself inwardly, how oculd just one person brighten his entire week? That was pathetic, he already felt like he was depending on her a little to much. She was awesome to have around though, he mused. And he really hoped that they would stay afriends through the time they both lived here in Nevada, perhaps even if one of them moved away, they could still keep in contact. Thats what computers were for, he thought to himself with a smirk. Oh the wonders of technology, he grinned, focusing back on Riley after realizing that he had zoned out, again. If he kept this up, she was going to believe tha the thought she was boring. That would just be great, the teen thought sarcastically. He looked at her curiously, his smile faded, but still there, as always. Her black hair was striking in his opinion, and her eyes.... whoa buddy, he stopped himself. Lets not go there. He mocked himself inwardly, here he was gushing about her appearances and personality, and she was probably just thinking about how overly dramatic he was about everything. He watched her, and his faded smile brightened again, till the point where he was practically beaming at her.
The teen boy chuckled when she called everyone nosey. Or rather, everyone that had looked over at them. "Everybodys nosey." He said with confidence, then relented with a sheepish grin. "Well, to some extent." He leaned forward, arms crossed on the table in front of him as he talked with his usual gusto. The boy always seemed to be in a perpetual good mood, and enthusiasm for life in general. He jumped slightly when she reached over and poked him after saying he was loud. "I object!" He yelled, then laughed when he realized, by objecting in the way he had, he had automatically proven that, he was, indeed, a very loud teenager. Wasn't that what everyone was acused of if they were in their teens? Being loud, rebellious, and doing things that were against the law? Marcus did two of those things, that was for sure. He was loud, they had already established that one, and, he was a just a tad rebellious. Okay, maybe more than a tad. He cracked up when she sighed so heavily when he said he didn't care if she was bi-polar. Immediately, he stopped his laughter. "Sorry, that sounded kind of insensitive of me..." Not that the boy could be sensitive to save his life... He laughed again when she spoke. "The little kitty thinks she can be intimadating?" He asked with a mischievous grin. "That, I have to see to belive." Marcus teased.
He rolled his eyes, and stuck out his tongue at her. "Sore winner.... then again, I'm a sore loser, we're qutie a pair." He grinned and laughed. His blue gray eyes glanced away and then back at her, spotting the puppy face she was now pulling. He smirked. "Hey Kitty, I believe puppy dog eyes are for canines only" He teased her with an impish smile covering his lips. He acted shocked when she told him it was five bucks, for the small piece he had stolen. "Fine!" He pulled out a five dollar bill, set it on the table, and with a grin, snatched the rest of the food. "Fair trade." He commented with a chuckle. It wasn't long before she hopped up, taking his skateboard with her. Then fell into the fountain. Smooth. "Well keep them sheated please." He said with a smile. He shivered when she hugged him. "You just caused me to freeze, likely to death, and all you have to say is ''my bad'" He widened his eyes, trying to pull a face of disbelief at her. He shook his head, poking her in the side. "Of course, my board is very dear to me" He responded with an air of casualty. He looked down at her, realizing he was still holding her in his arms, before taking a step back as calmly as he could. He snickered at her comment. "That's because you gave them to me already! AHH!! I'm going to die!" He yelled. Here comes the dramatics, again... They never stayed away for long. "Awesome, he responded with enthusiasm, happy she accepted his invitation to go to the park. He laughed when she said her goodbye, merely because of the ryhme in it. "Later Riles" He replied with a soft smile.
Marcus watched her for a few seconds, before turning around. Heading to the exit, annoying as it was, his current residence was closer to the opposite exit than the one Riley was headed towards. He hurried, not wanting to waste time. When he walked out of the mall, a soft breeze caused him to shiver again, that's when it hit him. She still had his hoodie. He shrugged, oh well, he would be seeing her again soon. He rode his skateboard all the way back to 'his place'. He opened the door and closed it with a sigh. Grabbing a new shirt, and throwing it on, without a glance to see what it really looked like. It was just another plain looking one after all.
The teen rode into the park easily, his blue eyes scanning the park for a certain black haired girl. He grinned when he spotted her, sitting on a swing. He chuckled, and flipped up his board, approaching from behind her, very quietly. It was amazing that he was actually being quiet, for once in his life. Just as he was behind her, he covered her eyes with his hands, leaning forward and whispering in her ear, very softly. "Guess who?" Knowing full well it wasn't going to be a surprise who it was.

Riley smiled when Marcus smirked at her when she announced that she was talented at hide and seek. Her only problem was staying still and being quiet. She could always find somewhere to use her contortionist skills, though. She noticed that his smile looked different. He wasn't full out grinning like he usually did, now there was only a small smile. It looked sweet, and she liked it. Kicking herself mentally, she groaned in her head. She was so vulnerable right now. She liked him more and more with every exchange of words and every smile shared, and she had absolutely no idea how he was feeling. She bet that he didn't like her as much as she liked him, if he liked her at all, because normal people didn't fall for someone they had just met. Riley was undoubtedly abnormal. It had been proven in so many ways, she was so unlike most teenagers. And not just because she was bi-polar. Riley just noticed that Marcus had zoned out, because she had managed to space off as well. His smile faded more, but it didn't look like he was unhappy. It looked like he was studying her again, searching for something else, possibly. She had no way to tell. Or maybe he was just thinking about something. Most likely about her, since they were talking and she was right there. She grinned at him when his smile brightened back up. She supposed she'd never know.
As everyone passing by or eating in the food court turned to stare at them, Riley told Marcus she thought they were nosey. She shrugged when he said that everyone was nosey. "Not me. I totally focus on my own business" she lied, giggling. Her gaze softened at his sheepish grin and she smiled up at him as he leaned forward, giving her the opportunity to poke him and accuse him of being noisy. She noticed he jumped and she grinned triumphantly, hinting that she wasn't the only one who had been startled that day. Cracking up as he objected while being loud, she raised an eyebrow. "Point proven." It honestly didn't bother her that he was loud, since she was too. Especially outdoors. As she sighed heavily after telling her she was bi-polar, she heard him crack up and she rolled her eyes and smiled. Normally, if anyone else did that, she probably would have gotten frustrated. But with Marcus, she didn't feel the need to get angry. She couldn't imagine really being mad at him. He was too much fun. She was surprised, but glad when he apologized and said that it sounded insensitive to laugh. She just shook her head and smiled softly again. "It's okay. Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to get mad at you anyways. You're pretty lucky" she teased, but she was being honest. And she was lucky that she didn't have to get mad at him. The thought of losing her new best friend here wasn't a good one. She let out a short laugh when he said that he didn't think she could be intimidating. She thought it was cute how he still called her a kitty, though he was underestimating her. "Trust me, you won't want to see how mean I can be. Just try not to get near me when I start screaming at someone. I'm an indestructible force. I'll make your ears bleed" she someone ment that as a joke, but her eyes were sad and so was her smile.
She stuck her tounge back out at him, grinning. "I'm not a sore winner. I just like being right" she giggled. "We are quite the pair, though" her eyes gleamed. She attempted her puppy dog face and replied to his comment, "I'm a bi-polar kitty. I can have random identity changes if I want to!" Riley cracked up and grinned evilly as she charged him for what he had eaten, and it wasn't much. She widened her eyes as he took the rest of the food and paid her. Riley giggled again "I was kidding, take your money back. I refuse to take it! Besides, I wasn't going to eat anyways. You're saving the world by letting it not go to waste." When she fell in the fountain she clawed the air playfully. "We'll see." She then gave him a hug and giggled as he acted dramatic about getting wet. "Oh shush, you're not the one who actually fell into the fountain" she stuck out her tounge and squeaked when he poked her, she was ticklish there. "Aww. Because the board matters more than me" she smirked at the way he brushed it off. When he let go of her she snuggled into his jacket. "You'll live. Get a shot or something at the vet." She waved goodbye and turned, heading to the park.
Riley sat on the swing, watching kids toss frisbees and dogs chase tennis balls and sticks. She played with her hair, wondering where Marcus was. She had the urge to go for an actual swim in the lake, and she was glad she had actually been smart enough to wear a bathing suit under her clothes. She didn't mind getting her clothes wet anyways, but it was easier to stay at least partially dry. People everywhere were tubing and boating. Tennis players were in the distance, and most everyone was wearing shorts and a tshirt, but their clothes weren't as trendy or as brightly colorful as her's. And they definately didn't have cool socks. She laughed at the idea, and suddenly jumped and almost screamed as she felt hands cover her eyes. She then got ahold of herself and realized that it was actually someone she was quite fond of. She grinned as he leaned over and whispered in her ear to guess who it was. "I don't know Marc, this is a tough one. The Phantom of the Opera?" she asked randomly, placing her hands over his hands and stepping backwards, over the swing. She naturally tripped and ending up sprawled at his feet. She laughed so hard she thought she would actually hurt herself. She jumped up and gave Marcus a quick hug, then saw a puppy. "Awww!" she said, getting distracted and she ran over to pet it. After she was done, she darted to the lake and tested to see how cold the water was out of curiousity. It was pretty warm and she smiled, prancing around. She was pretty high maintenance.

Marcus's blue gray eyes watched the park. All the people romaing around, happy smiles lighting up their faces. He soaked it all up. This was one of his favorite places to come, mainly to skateboard, but also just to watch everything going on around him. The peaceful air was just enough ot relax him, but the sound of voices kept him on the earth, yet, it was okay, because everyone seemed free, full of joy when they were at the park. Occassionally he saw somethings he'd rather not have, and they might even bring his mood down a little, but over all, the park was a perfect place to go and unwind. Marc enjoyed working on new skateboarding tricks while he was at the park, or even just trying to find people to talk to. He was relatively new in town, and although he really liked the people he had already met and talked to, he always wanted to find more people to hang out with. That was just the way he was, always wanting to see new faces, talking to new people, learn interesting things about others. He was an extrovert and seemed to thrive off of seeing other people, he got depressed and way to lonely if he was cooped up in a house with no one to talk to. And that was the times that people could actually find him without a smile on his face. If they snuck up on him that is. Because if he saw somebody coming, he would grin and start jumping up and down excitedly. Nothing kept the energetic teen down for long. Especially not if he saw a friend headed his way.
He crept up behind his friend, fairly sure that he was being quiet. For a second, he hesitated, watching her swing peacefully, her black hair stirring from the gentle breeze. Shaking his head, a small grin covered his lips as his hands moved over her eyes, blocking her sight. He smirked as he leaned forward, and whispered into her ear softly. A grin covered tugged on his lips, and a low chuckle escaped when she answered, sarcastically. "I'm hurt, you'd rather spend time with that freakish guy that wears a mask?" He pouted playfully at her. He pulled his hands away, but she caught them with hers. He froze when she tripped, not expecting it at all. "Gosh, you're such a clutz, Riles" He teased her. He grinned when she hugged him, and returned it casually, and before he knew it, she was already running over to pet some dog. He shook his head, chuckling at her actions.
The teen raised and eyebrow in question when she ran towards the lake. He had come prepared, wearing swimming shorts, but he hadn't really expected her to go swimming. Okay, perhaps a part of him was just preparing for anything, considering how random Riley was. Smirking, he jogged after her, stopping and watching her move about in the water. He laughed at her from the shore. "Haven't you gotten wet enough today already, kitty?" He asked, teasing her. He dropped his skateboard, and waded in after her, reaching out and catching her around the waist. He lifted her up out of the water, so that she was now eye to eye with him, feet dangling. His face grew a tad more serious, but a look of mischeiif was still hiding in his eyes. He looked at her with a soft, fond smile. Leaning closer to her, so that he feel her breath on his face. Finally, he moved his face closer to hers, but he actually went to her ear, whispering. "Hold your breath, kitty cat." With that, he dropped her in the lake, grinning like a fool.

As Riley swung back and forth slowly, her feet never leaving the ground, she took time to appreciate the bright and sunny day. It really was gorgeous outside, and it was the perfect temperature too. Definately warm, with a light breeze. She much preferred summer to winter. The cold wasn't Riley's element. She was always able to find something to do when it was hot, such as swimming, jumping on a trampoline, or just kicking back and getting a tan. Winter sports such as snowboarding and skiing took more balance and coordination than she possessed. The only activity involving a lot of coordination that Riley was good at was dancing, but even then she was known to trip and fall. She was much more clumbsy than most girls her age. Well, even more than that, she was the clumbsiest person she knew. Taking in a deep breath of air, she smiled. It was pretty unpolluted out here. That made Riley happy, because she was pretty green herself. If she could, she walked places, and she saved electricity. She was even involved in the occasional protests about chopping down trees and saving the rainforest. She participated in a lot of events and felt differently about many things than most people knew. She was a mystery. Totally unpredictable and random. But that was what was fun about her, afterall. She was never too shy to go on an adventure.
She continued to swing silently, smiling at everyone running around and having fun. She was sure that the rest of today would be a blast if it was anything like her time at the mall, as long as there weren't any fountains nearby. Giggling to herself softly, she thought about how she couldn't wait to see Marcus again. She didn't have to wait long to see him, aparently, because she felt his hands cover her eyes and she was easily startled, so she jumped, but then she grinned. In reply to him asking her to guess who it was, she said the Phantom of the Opera, also including his name in the statement sarcastically, but lightheartedly. She heard him laugh and she smiled at his question. "You've got to admit, he's pretty awesome. I bet you can't sing opera like him" she teased, putting her hands over his as he pulled them away. Stepping backwards, she managed to get her foot caught on the swing and she fell down. She laughed at herself, and then stuck out her tounge when Marcus called her a clutz. Her thoughts from earlier about how clumbsy she was had just been proven. "That's an understatement. I'm also a spazz!" Riley grinned and noticed him smile as she hugged him, blushing slightly when he hugged her back. She liked the feeling. Before she knew it she had taken off though, now kneeling beside a puppy and stroking it's head.
After she was done petting the dog, she moved right on to the next thing that caught her attention. It happened to be the lake. Riley looked backwards at Marcus to see if he was keeping up, smiling brightly. She saw him raise an eyebrow and smirk as he jogged after her. Quickly pulling off his hoodie and her socks and shoes, she removed her shorts and top, leaving her in a brown bikini with pink polka dots. She dove into the water gracefully for once, but surfaced and started splashing around as she swam. She laughed when Marcus reached the shore and teased her about getting wet earlier. "I love the water and the water loves me. Come on in, swimming by myself isn't any fun!" She noticed that he was still calling her a kitty. The nickname had stuck, apparently. And she was growing fond of it. Riley held out her arms and then collapsed backwards, floating. "There's plenty of room for the both of us." Her eyes sparkled as he got into the water and she swam around but stopped kicking when she felt him lift her by the waist. Her eyes widened as he held her eye level with him, wondering what he was doing. He was probably just planning on throwing her. She looked confused as he looked a little more serious, though still somewhat mysterious. She was aware that she could no longer feel sand underneath her feet, and as he smiled at her softly and fondly, she nearly melted in his arms. As he leaned closer to her her heart started racing. What was he doing? Was he going to kiss her? He was acting like it. Riley started hyperventilating. She liked him a lot and she was ready, but she hadn't thought he was. She smiled back at him, completely still as he leaned forward. As he whispered in her ear she was instantly washed over with a tsunami of dissapointment and frustration. "What?" she asked, getting a mouthful of air right before she was dropped under. She had time to glance at the grin on his face. She was so confused. Riley swam deeper underwater, glad that she was good at holding her breath. Anger swelled inside of her. Why would he do that to her? That was going too far. Didn't he know by now that she was crazy about him? Maybe not. Maybe he had just been fooling around and he didn't mean to hurt her. But really, it just wasn't smart to do that to a girl. She felt like crying, then the irritation suddenly reappeared. She finally collected herself enough to rise to the surface after having been under for at least a minute. "Why did you do that?" she asked, trying her hardest to mask her irritation and just show the hurt that filled her through her tone and the confused, pitiful look in her eyes.

He laughed at her comment on the Phantom of the Opera. "I'd kill myself before I even tried to sing opera" He stuck his tongue out at her childishly, but grinned a charming smile right after. The teen stepped back, and in a few short seconds, he was staring at his friend on the ground, he laughed, smirking down at her before calling her a clutz. He grinned at her response. "Of course! How could I forget to say that?!" He exclaimed in an overexaggerated manner. He watched her stand up, and then froze for a brief second when she hugged him. But in a split second, he wrapped his arms around her with a smile. He let her go when she pranced off to pet a puppy that was in the park with them. He shook his head and laughed at his friend's antics. You would never know she could get so sad or angry suddenly. In fact, you never knew what she was going to do next. And Marcus liked that. He liked the unpredictable-ness about her, the randomness and the spontaneous qualities that she held, that he hadn't found in anyone else. At least, not yet. Marcus himself wasn't to hard to predict, he always did things in a way that he hoped to make people laugh and have as much fun as he was having. Perhaps at times he went to far, but he did it in good fun, and honestly didn't mean to. That was a flaw he supposed, he'd do things, and hurt people accidently. He watched her stoke the puppy's head gently, and smiled at her fondly, perhaps maybe, a little to fondly. He shook his head when she ran to the lake, and he jogged after her, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips.
Marcus watched her run off towards the lake, and shaking his head, while smirking, he jogged after her. He really wasn't sure what she would want to do by the lake, but apparently she had swimming in mind. Try as he might, he couldn't help but stare at her just a little bit when she pulled off her clothes revealing the swim wear underneath. He was, after all, a guy. He shook his head, and ran a hand through his spiked dirty blonde hair, before he came to the edge of the water. He laughed when he heard her comment. "I'm sure." He replied mockingly, but with his usual smile in place. He quickly took of his clothes, leaving the swimming trunks on, obviously, before jumping into the water after her. Catching her wasn't that hard, and the lifting from even less so, considering teh water aided, besides, even without the water, it wouldn't have been hard, she was just so light. He smiled at her softly, a true caring look in his eyes, but also a more coverred up glint of mischief. As per usual for the blonde jokester. Being the guy he was, he didn't notice her look, almost excited for some reason, he just didn't think that way usually, so he missed the look all together. He wasn't trying to be cruel or mean, but Marc was a joker to the core, and he sometimes took things to far, a major fault in the teenage boy. He leaned forward, not really noticing anything, what a rather unobservant boy... His face went towards the side of her head, and he whispered in her ear, so close that his lips actually brushed it partly. A second afterward, he heard her word of confusion, but two seconds later, he released her. Watching her fall out of his grip, a grin lighting up his face, eyes dancing with amusement, plain and simple.
Marcus waited for her to resurface, which took a surprising amount of time. After fifteen seconds he was getting antsy, after thirty, he was completely worried for her. He knew that people could stay under that long, nothing over three minutes, but he wasn't sure how long she could hold her breath. What if when he dropped her and she was swimming away, she had hit his head. He bit his bottom lip, and ran a hand through his hair continuously. Just as he was about to dive in a look for her, she came back up. And surprisingly, she looked completely hurt. The worried look didn't go away, even though she was back, it stayed, mainly because of the expression covering her face. He stepped back confused when he heard her pained words. A look of confusion crossing his face and staying there. He didn't know what she meant... Marcus wasn't very skilled in the girls area. He never really thought about dating or anything like that, and his sister always told him when a girl liked him, of course, he denied it every time. He just.. he didn't understand. "R-Riles?" He asked, his voice shaking slightly. "What do you mean?" A hurt look appeared in his eyes too, wanting so badly to understand why she was so hurt by him for some reason. Then it clicked, not completely, but he realized that maybe it had looked like something else. He stepped forward till he was standing in front of her. "Uh... I didn't mean anything by it, I wasn't trying to hurt you... or do something to you... I was just..." He trailed off, not sure what to say to her. He hated to see her looking so sad, but what could he do to make it better. He still didn't comprehend fully why she was so hurt.
