Skye stepped out of her car slowly, looking around to see who was at the park. It was a beautiful outside, but it was later in the evening. She witnessed a couple of people wandering around, heading towards the parking lot to drive home. As far as she could tell, the place was nearly empty and uninhabited. She smiled, the sun was still hanging over the lake, but it was lowering slightly. Predicting that the sunset would begin to occur in around ten or fifteen minutes, she reached back into her car, grabbing her guitar out of the passenger's seat and closing the door. Wearing a thin white tanktop and short blue shorts, she shivered slightly. Not bringing a jacket might have been a mistake, but she wasn't planning on going back to get one. Setting off towards the lake, she heaved the guitar strap over her shoulder and her bright blue eyes sparkled as the air grew chillier and overhead the moon was on the verge of making an appearance.

Skye loved the night. She was practically nocturnal. She could sit outside for hours with nothing to entertain her, just looking up and staring at the moon and the stars. It was when she felt most alive. Reaching the lake, she stepped onto the pier and strode to the end of the dock, taking her place at the edge. Lowering herself to the ground, she took off her shoes and leg her legs dangle over the side of the wood, her feet touching the water. Pulling her guitar around infront of her, she smiled as she began to think of Axel. Like always, she wished he was here, but he was probably off doing something such as drawing or working at his stables. She had considered signing up for a job, but she wasn't sure if she was "qualified" due to her lack of experience. She knew a lot and could handle a high maintenence horse like an advanced rider would, but she had only been riding for less than two years. That didn't make her the most eligible applicant in her eyes, but she never knew. Strumming a few chords, she decided to sing. It let her relax and get out how she felt. Not many people knew that she could play the guitar, and she had a pretty voice to match, but not many people knew her at all in general. She started singing the lyrics to Relient K's song, "The Best Thing."

Axel was walking along the park, minding his own business. When all of a sudden, he heard someone singing, rather pretty song as well. He followed the voice to the lake, seeing Skye sitting at the edge of the dock and walked, quietly, up to her. Stopping right behind her, and listened to the song. "Zat's beautiful..." He said softly, sitting beside her. He, gently, wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder, the n, gently, blew in her ear. Just teasing her a bit. "Just like you..." He said, gently kissing her cheek, then pulled away, blushing, as though wondering why in the world he'd just done that. "I... I'm sorry, I dunno vhat came over me, I-I just..." He started, but wasn't quite able to finish. Because he was so embarrassed he couldn't finish his blasted sentence. Funny guy suddenly he's at a loss for words...

As Skye sang she thought of Axel, made her smile wider. The song seemed to suit her... them... well. As she came to the end of the song she thought she heard footsteps behind her, but she wasn't sure. Strumming the last chord and holding the note for a few more seconds, she heard someone say that the song was beautiful. She grinned and she lit up as usual when she recognized Axel's voice. She felt his arms around her waist and she blushed slightly, she was getting used to this. It always seemed to sent a thrilling sensation through her, each time just as strong, if not stronger, than the last. As he rested his chin on her shoulder she reached up and played with his hair fondly. She remembered what she had said to Jakob in the mall. They weren't dating. It made her sad honestly, she liked him more than she had ever liked anyone else before. She wanted to be with him so badly it was killing her. She had no idea if he knew how much he meant to her. "Thanks. I like that song a lot. Reminds me of us" she smiled shyly. She blushed more as he said that she was beautiful. "But definately not as good looking as you" she winked boldly, giggling. As he blew in her ear, chills ran through her spine and she shuddered pleasantly, finding that her cheeks were burning red now. When he kissed her cheek she was just about to say something, when she felt him pull away from her. She turned to him and pouted playfully, though she noticed that she did feel somehow emptier. Her eyes widened as he apologized and she smirked. He had no idea how cute he was. "Why are you apologizing?" she asked, taking her guitar from around her shoulder and setting it down, sliding it backwards farther away from them. "I should be the one saying i'm sorry for everything that happened at the mall. You're probably wondering who I even am." Skye slid over to where he was sitting and gently lifted herself up, sitting on his lap. "Besides, I liked it. A lot." She blushed wildly, lightly tracing the shape of his hand with her fingertips. She couldn't think fast enough to keep up with all of the flirting she was doing. "Do you even know how amazing you are?" All she knew was that her heart was pounding and she was happier with him than she had been in years.
