A lone dapple grey mare wove through the trees her slim legs picking their way easily through the underbrush. the trees abruptly ended in a clearing that glowed with a pale moonlight. The snow covered ground chilled her hooves and snow packed itself into them.
Suddenly energy flew into her limbs she whinnied her voice loud and cheerful ringing across the snowbound landscape. She lept forward and flew across the clearing and began to run in circles along the clearings edge. Her legs moved faster and faster until she was flying over the snow her silver and black limbs stretching. Mist lying for her nostrils. she skidded to a stop reared on her delicate hind legs and whinnied her joyous song to the world. She had arrived at a place were she could live and build a new life.
