Prologue
The Story of Axel Van Deriz
Axel was always considered the ‘Runt’ of the Clutch of Draco-Sapiens. He was smaller than the other Dracos. Yet he always managed to take down his bigger brothers and sisters. How, his parents didn’t really know, so they signed him up for training sessions for every competitive field for Draco-Sapiens they knew of. That is when he met Matthew Alexander. Matt was a kind-hearted, patient and good tempered guy who never would hurt a fly. He was also the one who trained Axel after he was old enough to care for him. When Axel reached 10 Draco-sapien years of age (only 2 months after he was born) He came into his first rut problem. Matt was only 13 then, Axel was in rut for 3 years, which was unusual but not unheard of. So, three years after he was in his first rut, he was bred for the first time in his life, and he found the experience –quite- enjoyable. Now that Axel had been in rut for three years and had been bred, he would soon have his first clutch of eggs, however, he was not yet a champion. So the eggs were not worth very much, however, they found that when the eggs did hatch, he could produce beautiful children. We now reach age fifteen for Axel, which was a difficult age for any teenage Draco-Sapien, he was entered into a ‘Trial-and-error’ Type of competition, 3 different kinds: fighting, racing and showing. He seemed to excel in all three fields, he wouldn’t be entered into any real competitions until he was at least 20 Draco-Sapien years of age. The strange part of this is that Axel would have been the youngest competitor if he’d have entered at Fifteen, but he entered at 18 instead, which was still considerably young for any Competing Draco. He became The youngest reigning Champion after 3 years of competing, a record-breaking speed for any Draco he was truly an achiever of Championship, once becoming a champion, he had administered 375 breedings to any femme who came to him. And he’s 25 Draco-Sapien years now, and still going strong in both bloodline and in Championship status.
