The black stallion walked gracefully around his disaster. He was wondering where Dysnomia was. He hadn't seen her for ages. Walking to the borders of the land he opened his mouth and started the morning call. He reared and neighed into the open air. He did this three times every day. He neighed for his mate, his daughter and Inferno. His so called daughter. They all knew that she was the daughter of Embezzlement, him and Axel were currently at 'peace'. He neighed one last time and then walked back into his land. How he missed his mate, Axel wasn't like all darks. He would never breed to every single mare in his herd. Only Dysnomia. Even though, he could still be the most rotten, wicked horse you could ever meet. He had several scars on his pelt. Most of them from Embezzlement. He trudged back to the lake. Putting his hoof in the waters and pushing some of the ash that lies on the water to the shore he took a drink. The lake was getting cleaner. He couldn't wait for Dysnomia and his daughters to come back. They would love the land, just as he did.
Kamenwati, he missed his little girl. She was so much like him, the frame especially. Flicking his tail he went around to mark his territory again. He did this twice a day. A) To make sure Dysnomia would be able to find him again and B) To keep horses wanting to claim out of his land. Once this was done he decided to go into his little grove. There was a ring of dead trees. It was rather large and the trees clumped close together except from the entrance. He now had claimed this as the royal area. Some small saplings were sprouting up while the dead trees rotted. He would do all he could to help these grow. As it was winter, the land was bitterly cold but it never snowed. Snow was never seen on the ground. Partly Axel's fault. When it started to snow he would stamp on the first flakes. Making them melt so the rest would not settle. The reason he hated snow, his brother was killed in the snow. The only people that knew was him, his mother and sister. No one else. Lying down in the 'royal grove' as he called it, he waited for his mate. The thing he did day in, day out.

The air was cold and crisp in the early morning. The sun was throwing it's first light across the bruised landscapes. The once lush, green scenery had been burnt away long ago, leaving charred and blackened remains, stretching for miles southward. Birds were chiming their sad dawn chorus to the wasteland that was their world. But the usually empty territory, was not alone on the cold winter morning...
Two mares raced across the landscape, hooves thundering across the ground as they galloped through the trees. Dust was raised in clouds behind them, coating their pelts in a thick layer of black soil. The two equines were known as Dysnomia and Kamenwati, mother and daughter, lead and heir of Obra Maestra Despedida. For several months they had not been sighted anywhere. Gone without a trace. But now they were back, after weeks of hard endurance, traveling miles to get back to where they belonged. Dysnomia plowed on, weaving through the trees that were dotted about, once green and full of life, now just charred stumps. Her legs were working like clockwork now, she had been running for so long, and sweat poured of her chestnut brown bodice. Pain had seeped it's way into every joint, every muscle in her body, but still she carried on, refusing to stop until she reached her goal. The stench of long dead horses filled each of her nostrils, invoking more mental pain into her already tortured mind. But over that stench of decay, was something much stronger, and more comforting too her than anything else on the planet. The scent of a very familiar stallion.
Kamenwati galloped beside her mother, every inch of her body encrusted with black mud. Her throat was completely dry, and he stomach was turning inside out with hunger. It had been days since she had stopped for a drink, and she had had very little chances to eat. She felt as if she were about to collapse at any given moment. A gash wound itself up the inside of her left hind leg, shocking her dirty white socks with a deep scarlet. Despite her ailments, Kamen was just as-if not more-eager as Dysnomia to get to her destination. She knew she was close now. The sound of water running came closer and closer to her, like music to her ears, until finally, she burst through some young saplings, and plunged her head into a dirty, ash filled lake. The water was so cold on her overheated insides and it hurt, but right now, she didn't care. When eventually she lifted her head, she saw her mother with her tail raised, ears pricked, looking toward a grove, encircled by dead trees. And she knew, at that point, that their long journey, was over.[/blockquote]

The smell came into his noise, he opened his mouth and breathed in the scent. It tingled on his tounge. Moving out from the clump of trees he saw two mares. His head was currently down, he was walking slowly over to his mate. When the stallion lifted his head he looked straight at Dysnomia. "It has been a long time, welcome back" he said and then walked over to Kamenwati. His daughter, his devil. "You look starved my dear, go into the circle of trees. Its the only place where grass currently grows" he said and then walked back to Dysnomia. "I called for you many nights and days. You never came. It was killing me inside. I actually do feel love for you but am still a true dark" he said the anger laced in his words. Then he turned to look at her. "Where is she? Where is Inferno?" he said. He had treated the filly like his own daughter, of course, he liked Kamenwati more. Axel and Dysnomia had a bond. Not all darks could have this bond but Axel did. He believed that a dark was not evil. He believed that they had different beliefs.
Flicking his tail he walked to the royal circle. He saw Kamen and smiled. She looked more like him now. "Its so good to have you back, I was starting to think you didn't want the land. I was all set to give it to Inferno" he said, teasing his daughter. "Obra will become yours, you will be able to rule it and take it down the line onto the next horse. Obra will be great, we will take over Dazeedo. He will bow down to us. We shall be the rulers of this earth young one. Don't forget it" he said and then bent down his head and ate some of the fresh grass. As his head was bent down he noticed the gash on her leg. "What happened Kamen, your leg is badly wounded" he said. He cared for his daughter, she was everything to him. He would risk his life for his daughter and mate. They came before anything. Even before having a big herd and ruling the earth. Trotting back out of the trees again his nuzzled his mate. "I missed you, where have you been? Why have you been gone?" He asked, waiting for a answer.
