I have NO idea where to post this, because it doesn't look like you make a new post, so I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Name of Character: Jewel Personality: Headstrong, walks with pride, stubborn, gets into trouble/fights. Position Wanted: Duchess Sample Post: ((Not of anything in particular which is what I'm assuming can be done...just showing her personality pretty much here.)) Jewel trotted along the grass. Her hooves squished under the wetness from the heavy storm that blew through the night before. She had rested in a thick brush for some kind of protection from the rain. It was night again before she decided to move. Jewel loved the night. It gave her black coat much more cover than the unforgiving daylight, but she cursed the moonlight for shining on her back as trotted along. She was a beautiful Arabian but she was stubborn horse. Jewel nibbled on some grass near the forest entrance. She dared something to be lurking in the dark. She heard a rustle from the fallen leaves on the ground. She whinnied slightly and lifted her head peering into the forest. She couldn't see anything but her nose said otherwise, though the scent was faint. She waited for it to come to her... She noticed eyes glowing. A lion? Out here? How can that be? Jewel had only heard stories of lions but she never thought she would be face to face with one. "A lion's eyes in the darkness is the first and last thing you will see." She recalled an elderly horse say as Jewel was travelling a few months back. She thought he was full of crap frankly but now she thought otherwise. The lion creeped closer slowly and Jewel stepped back slightly. Then, she heard it growl. Wha-? A dog? Either someone was hunting her, or the dog was a stray and hungry, but regardless, a dog was no match for Jewel. The dog crept closer and barked loudly. His bark was deep and when he emerged into the moonlight she saw the fierce look in the dog's eyes. The dog lunged and Jewel reared back neighing and came down with full force. She landed over the dog who bolted out and turned back for a second strike. Jewel turned and waited for him. When the dog striked again she bucked back knocking the dog with one hoof on his chest. She heard him whimper followed by a thud on the ground. "Ha ha, very good young Arabian."Jewel turned around to find a thoroughbred standing a few feet away. He approached her and Jewel blew heavily through her nostrils. "I need a mare like you to be my mate. We can rear strong healthy foals." She studied the Stallion. He was rather built, but Jewel did not feel like she needed him. "Leave me alone." She warned she began to walk away but the Stallion galloped to get alongside her. His tail flicked her thigh. "You do not have to be afraid of me. I will protect you."Jewel stopped walking. She turned to him. "As you can see, I don't need protection. But thanks for the terrible offer sir." She began to walk away but the stallion began to buck wildly out of anger. He knocked her on her side and she collapsed to the ground as pain soared through her body. The Stallion walked over and whinnied quietly in disgust then galloped away. She neighed wanting to fight back but the pain was to great. Even though this event did not change her, she learned that day that even the Strong and Bold have to take falls...

Name of Character: Incendia Personality: Proud, ambitious, cold. Position Wanted: Herd Foal or Mare? Sample Post:
Incendia lifted each of her spotted ivory pillars with calculated grace, she wasn't one to give a sloppy first impression. Her long banner was lifted slightly so that the light breeze caught it and made it flare out like a flame. Her beautiful features were lifted high with disdain, and the smooth ark of her neck was proud. So what if she was an intruder? It would be her land soon enough. Her mane was gently lifted without being ruffled so that it looked like a sheet of silk riding above her head. The chestnut flecks on her smooth pelt looked like they were burning against the blank canvas on which they were painted. Where each perfect, ebony hoof had touched the ground a small print was left in the soft mud. Incendia's slender limbs felt frozen in the bitter cold, but she felt no need to look for shelter, she was heading towards a herd, surely they had a place to get out of the weather. If they didn't they certainly didn't deserve to have her there.
From a distance she would have looked a pitiful figure. A half-starved filly wandering through a field where new life was just sprouting, despite the frozen wind. But closer up, she appeared to be exactly what she wanted to be, a queen. Of course, at the moment she was far too young, but surely the mighty Dazeedo had an heir, and by the time he grew up she would be old enough. Still, it would be best to get a respected place in the herd before hand. Unfortunately, she knew that it would be very difficult to get respect when she was only 5months. When she had properly thought about it, she had decided that the reward outweighed the risk, if she didn't get respect she never would, and her plans would fail, if she did gain respect then she would be the obvious choice when the time came. At that very moment though she was thinking about smaller things like food. There was plenty of water now the snow had melted, but there still wasn't much grass growing, certainly not enough of it to replace what had died over the winter.
Deep blue orbs surveyed the landscape with scorn within them. Here was she, a future queen, getting her hooves dirty in sticky muck! Destous Valley had to be perfect, or she would – Well, when she grew up she would kill all who made their homes there. As she made her way towards the famous valley a thought struck her. What if Dazeedo didn't have an heir? She hadn't thought of it before because she knew he did have foals – but what about legitimate ones? His queen was called crystal, that much she had been told in her old herd, but she hadn't listened to the gossip about her. Incendia almost stopped to revise her plan, but she knew that if she kept going she would be there soon, and she needed shelter. What would she do if he didn't have an heir? She could either try to befriend the one that looked to inherit, even though they weren't legitimate, or she could gain strong roots with in the herd and when she was in her prime, fight for leadership.
Or she could be normal.
For a second the young filly wondered what it would be like to be a normal foal, to run and play with other young ones, and to mature slowly into her full grace. What a good idea, she thought. I'll act normal, only with my full potential clear. I may not be a dark myself, but I'm sure I can act like the foal of one. The best of her much practised evil smirks spread across her face. Who cares about the future? For now, all I need is a perfect first impression and I'm all set for whichever path I choose. Choose.... A choice. Freedom. She paused for a second, taking in her position and breathing the clear, cold air with relish, before starting up again with new vitality, confidence clear with every movement of her scrawny body. She didn't walk, she didn't trot, she most certainly didn't gallop. She sauntered closer to her destination looking exactly like a dark mare should do. (Except for being small and half-starved.)
For a while she kept up her appearance, before carefully scenting the air. She could smell them! The herd, the valley, and the lead stallion, Dazeedo. She increased her pace slightly, then flung herself into a high-style gallop, mane and tail erupting into motion, a fiery glint in her eyes. Finally she stopped, at the edge of the valley, looking down on the place where soon enough, she was going to rule. It was perfect. She tossed her head to get her mane out of her eyes, then froze. Like a statue but for the slow movement of her chest she thought how she would behave. Not like the ridiculously flirtatious mares that were considered darks these days, she was only a foal. She had to be cold and logical. Elegant and aloof. Like a princess. Surveying the lands around her with a cold glare she started down the slope, each movement proclaiming that she was in charge, that this land and everything in it was beneath her. She was here because of ambition, and whatever they said when she found her she was coming with her head high.
