Kohia, a palomino Mustang mare wandered through the fields alone and in search for a home. The grass was long and lush after the cold winter so she couldn't help to take a mouthful but it was quick as she knew that she was open and unprotected here and staying too long could be fatal. She started to walk on but her journey was stopped as she had found some rocks that blocked a path then headed up the mountains.
She started to rear and then fell toward the rocks which made her hooves crash into them and they started to move. Kohia repeated this process until they started to fall and the entrance was open for her to continue on the journey. She stepped delicately over the rocks and up the path toward the land ahead. The mountain path seemed to go on for ages as she walked on through but it soon started to get wider "I must be nearing the top" she said and she was right as soon she started to see grass and then she saw the lands for the very first time and was sure this would be her new home.
Her eyes started to take it all in but it was like a dream with the only difference being it was reality. She looked at the plains and started to canter on until she saw a large pond and then the forest that curved partly around it. A stream ran through the forest and Kohia decided to walk through and find the end. She waded through the waters and took a small drink before entering the forest and finding the end of this stream to see where it led.
She followed the stream and walked through the forest which was lightened by the gaps in the leaves. She started to step into the shallow stream and felt pebbles under her hooves but continued and then heard a continuous crashing sound ahead. Kohia started to trot for wards and then saw the trees clear and ahead of her was a pool and a waterfall was coming from down a rocky hill. She took a drink from the pure water and then looked up and saw the mountains in the distance before realizing.
"I must be quite high as the path seemed pretty long and up wards" she said and a smile spread on her face "this place is certainly safe-ish" she said and started to canter back and galloped through the pond and onto the plains happily and then her mind began to wander of what it would be like when she had herd members "but to get me started I need a stallion but I am sure someone would come if it includes leading some land" she said trying to be confident as she knew without a stallion the herd might end up like her last and that would be torture having to repeat that process again as it was hell the first time round
