Ana//
Well, this was the place. She had recently been inducted into the family at Coal to Fire Acres. The name was awesome, and it even reflected her personality. The boarding and all that stuff came with the pay check, so there wasn't really any exchanging of money on her part. A paycheck's a paycheck, no matter how small. And at the moment, she was quite satisfied with her money balance. About $20,000, so that would hold up for a while... in a normal person's life. In a horse woman's life it would hold out for a while, but you couldn't sit on your butt and do nothing all day, you had to get out there and work. So, why not work with what Ana loved most, horses?
She walked into the door of the new bunkhouse, a bag slung over her shoulder and two more rolling behind her. There was one more left out by the truck, sitting on the ground, most likely getting dusty. But dust wasn't that bad, it was a fine coating of earth, so to speak. With a happy sigh Illiana opened the door and reclaimed one of her rolling duffels, and walked inside. It was clear there was currently no one else living in here, and for the moment that was a good thing. First choice in the beds. Grinning she rolled her bags to the bed nearest the window, looking out over a bit of the beautiful pastures.
She sat down on the edge of the bed and looked around. It was a pretty nice size, the room having three beds of about full size, though Illiana was never good at judging bed sizes, and they sure were soft. She kicked off her shoes at the end of her bed and fell backwards on her back, staring up at the ceiling. Something needed to go up there, that was for sure. She had brought her own sheets, so she stripped the bed and then took in a deep breath, and started folding them. It was almost as bad as doing laundry, but it only needed to be done every now and then.
The undersheet was the same shimmering purple as the normal sheets, and the comforter was a little bit more silvery with a wave-like pattern of darker purple, and the same darker purple on the bottom. Next she took off the pillow and put her own pillow on it, still the same purple as the sheets. If you hadn't guessed, purple was her favorite color. Grinning happily with her work she went over to the dresser with the sheets and pulled out the bottom drawer, laying them nice and flat along the bottom, with room for someone else's clothes.
Now, for the unpacking. Illiana's favorite part of moving. She took a duffel bag, and literally dragging it over to the walk-in closet, opened it, and started unpacking stuff. There were three long bars in the closet, perfect, seeing as hopefully there would soon be three living in this room, so she took the one to the left, behind the door. That way, no one had to look at the perfectness of her organizing. Soon the whole bar was close to full, organized by pants, shorts, capris, tank tops, undershirts, and t-shirts. Wiping her hands together she stepped out of the closet and turned off the light, next looking towards the tall wardrobe in the corner of the room, opposite wall where the door was, well, opposite placing anyway.
She pulled out a black dress that sparkled in the artificial light, and held it up to her body, feeling the different length ends of the fabric end right above her knees. She now walked over to the wardrobe and opened it, noticing three large white hang-like things, probably dividers. Shrugging she stuck the dress in on the right side of the farthermost white thing, now walking back to the bed. To the right of each bed there was a small stand, enough to put four or five medium-sized stuffed animals. Illiana gingerly pulled out a box labeled, 'Painted Pony' and unpacked it. Inside was something that looked like an oriental dragon and the painted pony mixed, and it was really cool.
This had taken about no time at all, and now there wasn't much to do, only to chill out, but first, she needed to go make sure Impulse was settled. She closed up her bags and threw them on top of her bed, going out the door and towards the barn. She had first put Impulse into a stall with a note on it, for her and probably from Roxy. The blue-black arabian mare pricked her ears and let out a happy whinny to see her again, Illiana holding her dished head in her hands and petting her soft nose. "You like it here, Pulse?" she asked softly, earning a comforting nicker from Impulse.
Muse: GREAT Words: 883 Other: She's... kinda from Arizona, hence the painted pony. xD It's still packed in my stuff, so when I get it unpacked I'll say which one it actually is. Lol.

Roxanne
The bare cabin like walls, seemed to stare down at Roxy. She was not having a good day. Not because something had happened, nothing had really. She just wasn't, there was no easy explanation. Her day was kind of gloomy, and she really didn't have anything to look forward to. A sigh came from her parted lips and she stood. The small chair that she had been sitting it, rocked slightly, as the weight of her body was removed from it. It wasn't a fancy chair, just a deep mahogany wood, burnished till it shined. She guessed it was okay, just not some stunning one, that everyone would want in their living room. Seeing as, that was the room she was in. Although, almost all her rooms adjoined. Her house has one bed room, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. There was only room for her, which wasn't really a bad thing. She didn't have siblings, well, she didn't have siblings that were staying with her. Honestly, she didn't want her sister to show up. Though Roxy didn't hate anyone, she didn't really care for her sister. Well, she loved her in that sisterly way, however, she wouldn't be excited in the least if she happened to show up. Ava Elizabeth McRae, was one year younger than Roxy. However, Ava acted like the older sister, always looking down on Roxy and being quite cruel. Honestly, she wasn't sure they were from the same parents. They were, of course. Though, she would love the news that Ava was adopted. Sadly, that wasn't even close to the truth. She just didn't know, how two people could make two complete opposites. It was just terrible. Ava, was a complete pink girl, high fashion, hates to get dirty, loves guys, ect. The list goes on, and on. Oh well, no amount of thinking of her little chic of a sister was going to change her. So that's what she did, stopped thinking of her at all. It wasn't like she was just gonna pop in from Kentucky. She wouldn't like Nevada. At least, Roxy desperately hoped Ava would never show up. Her brown eyes swept the room in a brief gaze. Walking out of the living room she went down the tiny entryway, and then walked into her bedroom.
With one hand she reached up and flipped the bedroom light on. The man made lightbulb wasn't the best quality, and it really just made the room gloomy, at night. Because of the window on one side, the room was brightly lit. However, not to the full extent. Roxy stood briefly at the door and then walked towards the window, which wasn't far from where she stood. Reaching to separate sides with both hands, she drew back the curtains. The sun's rays easily illuminated the small bedroom. Because of some vines, the sun shining through them and the shadows of them, cast a intricate weaving pattern onto her bed. Smiling she let herself fall back onto the bed. Her dark coffee colored hair went in all directions, and her eyelids closed contently over her chocolate brown colored eyes. Another sigh came from her mouth and her eyelids fluttered open, though somewhat reluctantly. A dazed sort of expression covered her face, for a moment. Well, she ran a ranch, and all the chores weren't going to get done if she just laid here. She managed a small and weak smile, gathering her energy she stood up. Walking towards the bedroom door. On an afterthought she turned back around and drew the curtains back in front of the window. Satisfied, she turned back around and walked out of the room's door.
With an almost happy expression on her face, she walked out of the building. The fresh breeze carried a lot of nice scents, just the spring time flowers blooming was enough. The sun was warm and the entire day was inviting. She found that, her bad mood was easily evaporating like water under the sunshine. Her gaze turned to another section of her land and she spotted a horse trailer. Her eye's widened, as she realized that her new employee arrived today. How could she have forgotten!? A dismayed look wiped away her previous happiness. This was terrible, she hadn't forgotten something like this before. Well, better late than never, she decided to herself.
Before she had taken more than a step, she realized that the girl was standing beside the trailer. Smiling she walked up to her. Confidence still slowly rising. Though, she felt incredibly stupid for forgetting. Brown eyes sparkling and dancing because of the light, she stopped a foot away from the other girl. She was pretty sure her name was Illiana. She vaguely remembered the name from when she had received the application to work here. Extending her hand in a friendly hello. "Hey, I'm Roxy McRae, you're Illiana, correct?"

Ana// At the moment the bag that was sitting by the trailer was forgotten, as it had all of Impulse's tack in it.. which wasn't much. Just a normal dark leather saddle, a mahagony saddle pad, and the bridle. The bridle was quite sentimental, in value anyway, because it was bought and sent from her mother in Australia. In the noseband there were five australian crystals. It didn't make it any more expensive than a normal bridle, it just was more shiny, which Illiana absolutely adored. She continued to stroke the horse's nose, and then opened the trailer, untying the lead rope and throwing the bag over her shoulder, ignoring the extra weight.
She put down the bag and then waved at the driver, who waved back and drove away. Good 'ol Alex. The truck drove away, trailer and all, and then Impulse's ears flicked towards the right, and her cranium rose, alerting Illiana to another presence. It was a while before she even saw Roxy coming up to them, but when she did, Ana waved happily, Impulse letting out a soft nicker and bobbing her black cranium, ebon tassels falling in her face.
As Roxy came near enough to hear Illiana nodded, "Yep, Illiana Thorneblade, nice to meet you." she said, shaking her hand. "You have a really nice ranch," Ana said, kind of stuck on the whole conversation issue at the moment. The black mare behind her came forward, nuzzling Roxy's hand with her velvet muzzle, and then getting patted lightly on the nape by Illiana.
