Ivan and a stable hand stared at the trailer, contemplating what might happen if they opened it. Justin had been placed in the first partition, but he had been known to throw fits in the trailer, disliking the confinement, and despite being big enough for Bartok the trailer was not really meant to hold two draft horses. They had no idea how the new mare, Cytheria, would react to being let free after the bumpy ride. The end of the trailer was facing a round pen, made of metal rather than wood, which was a surprisingly smart choice for Ivan. This way they could just open the door and let the untied horses go wild.
Justin kicked the side of the trailer, causing it to rock, but having no other effect on it. His ears were back, the sclera showing in his eyes. Sweat coated his neck, and even if he had wanted to speak he couldn't have. The only think he was more afraid of then the whip was the trailer, he had gone through a wreck once and never fully recovered from it. Only proper care could do that, and Ivan was unlikely ever to treat him nicely enough that he would get over the fear.
"Best we just open the doors and see what happens," Ivan said, "go around and get them open, now," Ivan himself was staying far away from those doors. He stood at the fence of the round pen, whip held loosely in one hand. The stable hand opened the doors and then ran like heck as Justin burst out, in a frenzy to get out of the trailer. He galloped to the far end and stood there, breathing heavily, looking in the water trough for any water. There was none. The stable hand then went back and released the partition, freeing Cytheria.

Cytheria//
The cremello mare hadn't thought too much of the metal contraption when she first saw it, it just seemed different. Justin didn't seem to like it, but she tried to ignore him and walked in. Once her hooves met the metal her whole bodice seemed to freeze. Her pelt shivered for a moment, unused to the odd texture beneath her hooves, but thinking better of just standing there, she took a breath and walked in. From the beginning her harks were pinned tightly to her cranium, her eyes wild. The trailer was obviously not meant to hold two monstrous-sized horses, and that was apparently clear when Justin was also loaded, followed by a sharp snort from Cytheria as the divider was closed and the space was even smaller.
The bumps and turns made her stomach flip flop, and by the end of the ride her legs were shaky, and her auds still pinned against her cranium. Then the door was open and Justin has exploded out. Her harks pricked forward as she kicked the divider lightly with the tip of her front hoof, pretty much asking to be let out. It was open and Cytheria let out a shrill neigh as she burst out of the small, cramped, and hot trailer, her cremello bodice flying out of the silver. She shot towards Ivan but immediately put her back hooves down and shot in the opposite direction, silver mane flying out behind her, banner following suit. She looked magnificent, almost like a silver cheetah, just much larger and more muscular. Her orbs were like daggers as she glared at the stablehard, practically baring her teeth, but then dropping the manner as she trotted fluidly towards Justin.

The hand, dashing back away from the trailer, flinched as Cytheria came at him. Unless she was prepared to burst through the fence, though, he was fine, and currently he swung the gate of the round pen closed, entrapping both her and Justin. The Belgian seemed at ease now, ears pricked as the hand drove the trailer away. He cast a concerned glance at Cytheria, seeing that, she, too had a rough time in the trailer. He blew out heavily, trying to regain his composure enough to speak. "I probably should have warned you, sorry," he said, his voice cracking a bit. His knees shook a bit as he looked over at Ivan, whip hanging loose in his hand as he approached the fence, eying the two horses. They seemed to be getting along well, which was good. Perhaps Justin would knock some sense into this proud mare.
"Ah, how did you like that, my darling?" he asked, ignoring her bluff charge. He should have punished her for it in any other circumstances, but he chuckled as she shot around the small area as fast as lightning, despite the shaky ride. Justin tossed his head up, staring at the man for a moment, still unable to really talk or move. The trailer always had this effect on him. The fear ran so deep that it was practically ingrained by now. Normally he would have joined Cythe, the race being the only joy left in his devoid life, but now he did not. He was docile, almost like a kitten. Ivan chuckled from the rail, slipping through the door and standing across the way from the two horses.

She watched as the stable hand swung away from the fence, chocolate orbs blinking lazily. She turned back to Justin, both auds trained towards him. "Don't worry about it, I would have refused to go in, if that was the case. And... that wouldn't have turned out very well," she murmured the last part, the right aud flicking backwards towards Ivan. Her bodice shivered as she heard his feet make contact with the earth. She turned her body to stand right by Justin's side, pretty much cowering against him as Ivan stood there, the whip the only thing her eyes really taking in. She wasn't afraid of it yet, and her hide was unmarked, from the whip anyway, but how long would that last? "How did I like that?" Cytheria repeated, giving herself a bit of time to translate the words. Her cremello banner swished behind her, as her orbs peered at Ivan. Her skin shuddered again, almost as if there were a couple flies on her shimmering pelt, but no, it was simply the aura that was coming off of Ivan, it was.. frightening. Her muzzle nudged the unmoving Justin, wondering what was wrong, other than his master in the 'corral' or whatever they were called by the humans. To her, it was just an 'enclosure' a new 'home,' though with more perils than there were out on the range.

Justin laid his ears back sharply as Ivan craned his neck over the fence, staring at the horses with the look of a true predator gleaming in his eyes. The stallion stomped a hoof, but did not move or make to cower, nor to fight. The master was in a good mood, proud of his successful capture of Cytheria, and it was in these moods that he was either more or less likely to use the whip. Sometimes good spirits drove him to cruelty unlike that which the horses usually experienced, and it was these times that frightened Justin more than any others. Except, perhaps, when Ivan came to the barn staggering drunkenly. Those were the truly worst times. "No, that wouldn't have been good," he murmured, his eyes fixed on Ivan, leaning slightly on Cytheria as he felt her cower towards him. Despite himself, Justin was warming to the previously obstinate mare.
Ivan grinned like the devil as he strode towards the two horses, whip leaving a thin trail on the ground behind. In one hand he held a rope halter, a fearsome contraption that pulled tight around the muzzle of a resisting horse and wired shut the jaw. "Ah, my pet, it is already time for your training to begin. We cannot have you standing out in this pen all night, now can we?" He approached the wild horse with his whip at the ready, held at arms length as he stood about a yard away from the horses, staring at them from this distance. The whip could lick it up in a second if either one decided to act up, and Ivan would have enjoyed that immensely. His beady eyes gleamed with a crazed expression as he stood, grinning, and Justin trembled slightly before taking a step towards his master, lowering his head in submission.

The cream-coloured female watched out of the corner of her eye as Justin put back his ears, but Cytheria put hers forward curiously, banner swishing behind her. She wasn't comfortable, but it was better to hide the fear under a well-practiced mask rather than letting it taint the air. Though the gleam in her new master's eyes was ominous, she stayed against Justin, the stallion being the only thing she could turn to. When he spoke again, she bobbed her head once, a very minute gesture, "Yep," was all she said though, wondering if speaking would lighten the tension, but it didn't. Her bodice was rigid, trying and succeeding, to keep from letting even a single tremble show.
Her orbs were glued to the fearful snake that trailed behind Ivan, and then flickered to the other contraption in his hand, something she had never seen before, but it looked like what Justin had on before, so it couldn't be that bad... "Ah, my pet, it is already time for your training to begin. We cannot have you standing out in this pen all night, now can we?" Cytheria didn't understand much of this at all, except for the last part, which she murmured to Justin, a sound that wasn't heard by human ears, "Actually, leaving me standing isn't bad..." Cytheria arched her neck as he came closer, mostly in surprise, but when Justin trembled and then stepped forward, she eyed him curiously, and did the same... though one ear was still flicked to the side, waiting from anything from Justin.
