c a l l - m e: Riot p o s i t i o n - w a n t e d: Countess w a t c h - m e: Riot cantered quickly towards the royal neutral lands. Her pillars pumped quickly as the carried her across the lands. Her daggers thudded rhythmically, and the sound consumed her every thought. She had been listening to nothing but that sound for ages, and she knew she was growing closer to her destination. Her audits were fixed on the lands in front of her, searching for any sign of other horses. Her nares were filled with the scent of the royals. This is where she wanted to be. She wanted to live among the royal neutrals, she wanted to belong to the neutral alliance forever. If she could only convince the King and Queen she was worthy of being a Countess, she would prove she was dedicated to this alliance with her life.
If Riot could only achieve this, she could prove Triton wrong. Her old friend had said she'd never make it in an alliance, and she should just be undecided. Ever since she was a foal she had called herself a neutral, and she wanted to prove she was. She had traveled hundreds of miles, searching for a neutral herd where she could live and be highly ranked. Now she had stumbled across the royal neutral herd, it was just like icing on the cake. If she could make it in this royal neutral herd, she could make it in any other neutral herd around.
Riot had never understood the use of having lights and darks. It didn't seem to make sense to her at all. They were all just horses, they just believed different things. It seemed silly to split them right down the middle when all they had to do was accept each others ways of living. Riot agreed with both of the alliances ways. She didn't feel they were doing anything wrong, except stereotyping the other alliances. Being a neutral was very natural for her, because she just couldn't see herself in any other way. She'd be a dark who liked lights, or a light that liked darks. So there was no other choice but to become a neutral, not that she was complaining, the neutral life was the best life for her.
Riot slowed her three-beated gait down to a two-beated one. She was nearing the royals, she could smell them very plainly. As she approached, the scent became so strong, she knew she must be standing right beside or near them. Her orbs scanned her surroundings, but she could not see them. Her audits picked up the scent of their breathing, but still her orbs found nothing. They must be on the other side of the trees. Thought Riot. She decided to just speak, and hopefully they would show themselves, or reply to her statement. She gulped down, this was a massive deal. She wanted this position more then anything, so she couldn't mess this up.
I am Riot, a neutral mare form a herd far away. I have traveled many miles to come see you, because I would like the honor of being your Countess. I want to be a loyal member to your royal neutral herd, and within this loyalty, I want to be Countess. I can assure you that blessing me with this status will not be a negative choice. I promise you will never regret it, and I will never leave this herd. I will stay loyal to you forever, and I will defend this herd and all it's members with my life. If there is anything you ever needed me for within this herd, I would surely do so.
I want to live here forever, and I want to follow your ruling forever as well. I can promise you this, I will forever be loyal to you and this alliance, and you will never have to worry about my actions or words. I know how to handle myself in a position of power, and I would never do anything that would bring embarrassment or negative attention to this herd or this alliance. Riot called out softly to the royals that seemed to be surrounding her. She could still smell and hear them, but her orbs still saw nothing. All she could do was stand and wait for a reply to come.
Riot's mind raced over their possible answers. They could laugh and trot away, flatly turn her down with no explanation, or grant her this wish, and invite her to join them within their home. Riot kept her confident composure the whole time, her confidence wavering on the inside slightly, but not failing her on the outside. She wanted this position badly, and she was willing to do anything to get it. Whatever they asked of her, she would try until she either succeeded or died.
